  • WOW!!!!! i would love to learn!!! Do you teach classes? Ive watched this video about 100 times and everytime i see something i missed. the song is smooth and goes with the dance steps

  • Smooth !!!

  • I love you guys and I love the song.. I just started ballroom dancing last year. What's the name of the song and artist. Thanks

  • Love the song and the dance, nice work.

  • thanks mr steve for teaching me those bad ass detroit ballroom player moves of yours. youre incrediblly unique, got a real groove thang going there, and you own evey slick move you make. im so proud to see a young detroit man like you keeping detroit ballroom dancing, detroit's official black cultural and historical dance alive. you are a very clever and patient instructor indeed. you and nikki show how regal, sensual, detroit ballrooming is with its on-beat detroit soulful rhythms. i live this!

  • from one detroit ballroomer to another, i thank you mr steve for teaching me some of those detroit ballroom player moves of yours! you are one bad ass instructor and as patient as can be! detroiters have been detroit ballrooming, detroit bopping, detroit chopping for a long long time going back to the 20's. not the 80's. our very senual detroit ballroom dance, detroits official black cultural dance created by black detroiters. a detroit cha cha, has no latin influences what so ever! no way!

  • Am I crazy or does she have on different shirts

  • LOL... good eye... yeah, this is actually about 12-15 mins worth of footage condensed to 5 mins. She did have on different shirts.

  • Sweet and smooth... I like that!

  • That was HOT, I learn something ever time I watch this video.

  • I miss you STEVE you have to come to the UK!!!

  • ....Putamayo Euro Groove

  • Love this song - Destins et Desirs by Toufic Farroukh and Jeanne Added. (found it on Putamayo). Your moves are smooooooth. Love it!

  • never seen ballroom b4. i like it alot. its a lil more traditional looking than stepping

  • Beautiful Dancing!!BeautifulSong!

  • Steve nice moves, flowing so effortlessly.please tell me it' s the song right? P.S. What's the name of that song and who sings it? U.W.S.

  • I like your style. Unique moves and combinations!

  • I wanted to download your video to my Ipod. I really like your dance style. The format you created the video in wouldn't let me download it. Instead of MP4 it was flv never heard of that one. Must have been the camera used. If you decide to do another one I'll be looking for it.

  • STEVE WHERE YOU AT MAN!!!!!

  • I need info for lessons. Nice dancing, real smooth!

  • I miss this soooo much.. I live in Houston, TX but I use to dance with Bobby and Sheila in Detroit @ the Detroit West Club every Sunday... You guys look soo good and you make it seem so easy and seemless... I am trying to find some people who ballroom dance here in Houston...

  • i absolutely loooove this song..

  • yo im feeling this 4real, im from detroit too and all i do is ballroom. im trying to teach my girl now. ive taught a few older couples how to do it. im trying to get the chi-town step down now.

  • Hey Thanks for the positive energy... Ballroom is definitely a smooth and sensual dance. There's still a lot to be explored with it. Keep me updated on how your Chi Step is coming along...I can help if you would like as well :-D

  • You go girl, Nikki. Throw them braids! ;-)

  • I love to watch you two dance but I also love to hear the music you two are dancing to. Can you give me the name of the artist of that song.

  • TY :-D for the song click on "more info" to the right of the clip

  • can you explain the diff. b/w chicago stepping and detroit ball room? It seems that chicago stays in the "box" a little more while detroit does more "all over the place moves?"

  • Chicago Steppin' is a slotted slow swing dance. The path of dance would be like dancing in a box. Detroit Style Ballroom is a veariation of Cha Cha a latin dance. Its movement are more circular no linear path has to be maintained to excute. Great observation Dcain2.

  • Ok, I am believer that their is hope for me. If you can teach Nikki how to dance, then I know you can teach me! I think I may just contact you.

  • Yes, contact me... I am very confident that this dance could bloom out of you... Education is my middle name... not really, but you get what I mean :-P lol

  • Sharp, just absolutely sharp, easy on the eyes to watch and you guys are having fun, emphasis on fun and very cool! From Lamar Nowell Sr.

  • Steve, effortless and beautiful as always. Keep dancing....

  • Steve...very nice flow...I would love to come and check out one of your classes and/or sets. Where are you located? I'm in Charlotte, NC and teach classes for Purple Charlotte Steppers Club..we would love for you and your group to come and visit. Keep Spinnin'. Demond

  • Hey, Thanx for the love :-D I'm in Detroit, MI. I would love to visit and see you and your group...let's talk :-)

  • another smooth video. that is some good dancing right there....I can see the patience in your teaching style. And definitely come up on saturdays from 9-12 it is some good practice where students learn from each other and mix and mingle. also invite Nikki and other dancers.....

  • Good job!!! @ tha elementary school i work @ our fifth graders were being taught how to ballroom.

  • Steve love you and thank you so much. This is wonderfully edited...I love it!!
