  • Felsenthal is an awesome place

  • Aren't frogs protected by law in the USA?

  • @korpakukac Some are. In the state where I live, we're only allowed to take bullfrogs and green frogs, but they're really common. There's also a season and a bag limit. Here, gigging is only allowed in June and July, and you're only allowed to take 20 frogs total (10 per day).

  • well executed

  • this is one thing i love doin hell yea to frog gigging

  • That looks like a blast..

  • Do you guys sell the frogs you catch?

  • MAN!! That looks like so much fun!! What a blast. Great eating too!

  • o man i have not had frog legs in a good long while

  • is using a spotlight legal? I hope so, that looks like alot of fun. No frogs here in Indiana, I think they all crooked.

  • Thanks for the post. After 45 years of watching Andy Griffith, I finally know what Frog Gigging is !!! :0)

  • @Johnnyboy792 LOL! You know I guess I've always kind of took it forgranted that everybody doesn't speak "Andy" like we do down here. Thanks for the post! :)

  • how do you guys cook frog legs??

  • @Jake520520 Just fry 'em up like you would gator. That probably didn't help much did it? :)

Fry them like chicken strips. Take an egg and stir it in a bowl of sweet milk. Dip your frog legs in the mixture, roll the legs in flour and turn 'em loose in the skillet!

  • You should have gigged the coon. Coon- the other white meat.

  • i have been frog gigging like 4 times but is it better to gig with a flashlight?

  • @d3athKo shine it right in the frogs face...they wont run but they cant see you

  • @d3athKo If you hold the flashlight up beside your head the frogs' eyes will reflect the light. It will be OBVIOUS where the frogs are.

  • you're gonna be eating good tonight

  • I have two ponds Northern California that have been invaded by bullfrogs, which have destroyed our population of native yellow leg and tree frogs. Thanks for the excellent video, which gives me new hope for eliminating the bull frogs. In addition to gigging, I have also stocked my ponds with large mouth bass. Congratulations for the excellent quality of your video, and especially on the fine Northern California music (Creedence originated in El Cerrito, Calif.)

  • when me and my freinds do this we shoot them with a .22 then we put them in a catch bag

  • Nice! We in the last few years just started getting bullfrogs in my neck of Texas. Though they are few and far between they have provided some good times. Good vid. Keep giging em!

  • good vid 2008 was a good year for frogs on felsenthal...one question though why not just use ur hand like most everybody else...lol

  • you can actually eat the whole body of the frog too cept for the head............ dont just eat the legs....... there is meat on the body too. you can make a stew or broth from it

  • @kingsblendstrain : I agreed. their hands have meat too. Try to make frog curry stew just like the way people cook chicken curry but frog tastes much better.

  • Man!! I love to frogging some day...Living in the East coast it hard to find frog. Talking about the frog and Asian spicy lemon grass is #1 and it damnnn good.

  • @sophibkesU2B : yeah that is good to eat too. Try to make frog curry stew just like the way people cook chicken curry but frogs taste much better.
