hes right it takes off TOWARD the wind. all planes take off TOWARD the wind or the tail would flip up or the plane would overshoot the runway . the wind gives it lift.

you take off faster going against the wind because the wind going across your wind is giving you more lift. if you are trying to go faster in relation to the ground, you go with the wind. you get less lift but you go faster.
