I play endless mode and i think there is a glitch in endless mode or in the game itself. This happen to me two or three times but the gameplay actually slowed down even tho the announcer said "accelerate." It was like the game went into slow motion and i was able to rack up 18 million. So who knows that maybe this happen to the top players on the leaderboards because get around 200 million seems impossible. But nothing is impossible. :)

easy arcade, normal arcade, endless, bomber, survival, time attack, a few modes on 2 player. Also once you complete normal arcade, it then goes to hard arcade and I think there are a few modes after that. Though with the hard mode, you can not select it from the menu, you have to complete normal first every time.

@nac3rules It is still a really good game. Make sure you buy the Endless mode (the mode that is being shown on the video). Some people say it is the most difficult mode as it just keeps getting faster and faster.

it's on the survival mode, which you might have to buy an upgrade on PSN. You just shoot it, or boost through it, or use a normal bomb on it

I like to play my DJ mixes, and they carry on playing when the menu screen is one. Where as Wipeout (well the demo anyway) the tune stops when you start another race so you only listen to part of tune. Well done Stardust!

I can't remember my record but on "arcade" I got onto the 33.xxx place. I noticed that #1 had played 5 hours straight (Oh gosh..). What a great game this is! I only just bought it last week as it was £1.59 in the PSN Store and I've bought the add on for endless etc. So annoying though when you have a 9x multiplier and die.... all for a gold trophy!

It works at the early stages but not later on. The problem with spinning gold is it is quite defensive and you need to be more attack minding to clear the waves, otherwise the speed will accelerate.

Another sad day in the Endless leaderboard.

I have just checked and Bobbymac and Ticklechamp have "cheated" (subjective) their way onto the leaderboard spending over 4 hours on a mode that should only take 40 minutes by stopping the game from accelerating.

ive got all the trophies in sshd i just cant get the boost through 15 tokens trophy any tips how to do it?

The way I did was try it on the second planet as the 30% gold melter is more effective than a basic 10% rock crusher. When you destory all the countdown red hexagons gold rocks you should get a massive cluster of green icons rocks. Try and leave it until you have other seperate green icon rocks. Then when you have a few points floating around try boosting trhough the green cluster instead of destroying it. That way it keeps all the points close together. It might take a few goes though.

Near the start try and get 15-20 bombs before destroying nukes. However there is an arguement for this as in the long run it may make things harder as the speed increases.

I presume you refer to the "ice meteor showers" where they spawn following you like the red pyramids. I never know if the ice splitter or gold melter in a circle motion is best. Maybe you could try keep running away and save the boost until the last possible moment. I find that sometimes works with the rock meteor showers.

I have been playing the game for a year, and it still thrills me. If you like shooting things then there are several modes to keep you interested. Endless mode (shown video) can be hard as it gets very fast very quick. I think there is a playable demo on the PSN.

For all you people that keep asking me for a copy of the stardust file "NO".

If you can afford to buy the £300 PS3 console, you can certainly afford to spend £8 on the Stardust Basic and Solo game.

That £8 has given me 30 minutes a day for 8 months of enjoyment. Pricacy kills gaming and pushes up prices. Buying a video game can be one of the best value purchases for how much time you spend on it.

Bobbymac123 has now got 125.6 mil, however the time he recorded is 1:45:47. The score is very good but the time seems a bit strange as Bridy's time was a quick 34 minutes.

Yes my friend, there is a "trick" (I call it "cheating") that makes it possible to go pretty much forever (I reached 200 million doing it but turned off the game before my score registered). Too bad credible scores will never hold up to those gotten via this method :( You may see me post a "cheating" score soon just because it bothers me seeing Bobbymac123 at the top. At least I know I got 105 mill legitimately :) Bridy

I think the developers should consider putting a stat "of points per second". For example:

Bridy: 105,131,285 / 34:08 (2048 secs) = 51334 points per second

Bobmac: 125,643,050 / 1:45:47 (6347 secs) = 19796 pps

djaa1978: 39,495,895 / 16:57 (1017 secs) = 38836 pps

I agree with you, Late Boomer by far is the most difficult trophy, I just gave up because im pissed, not only was I 1 bomb away, 1 ship away, from my last trophy, but I had a shield, and then I diead, IMPOSSIBLE!

And the shield thing, thats an easy one, If you made 39 mill on endless, man, you can get the shields.

My problem getting the shields, I use my bombs alot on endless so it generates them. However I try not to use them on Arcade to get a better phase bonus, so I get less shields appearing. Maybe I just need to concentrate on getting the trophy rather than a good score.

actually yes, I do.

Search for the nuke all the time, you want to blow it on sight, if not the game keeps accelerating.

Also, listen to the song, if you get the "Coventina" (or the ice planet song) thats good, means there will be a lot of shields around.

Destroy the nukes as fast as you can, that´s my tip.

Red Triangles are the worse! It is better to get a load early on, then you don't get as many later in the game when it is faster. Try to go towards them if you have a powerful gold melter or rock crusher, if you try and run away they come at you from all angles. Use the stationary green mines to help you clear some of them, and the ice barriers can give you some protection.

Playing Stardust on my friends HD TV was the reason I bought the PS3. It is very easy to learn but does get very difficult.

5 Million on Bomber, that is good! I think I once got barely 1 mil.

I find Bomber the most difficult, then survival, then endless, then time attack, then arcade and then (obviously) easy.

I'm going through a bad period and struggling to get 20 million on Endless at the moment. I want to try and crack the top 20, I think I need 50 or 55 mil.

I only have 2 trophies. Surviving at least 7 mins on one life, and destroying 10 nukes. I only play Endless so I have only completed 9%. My goal is to break into the top 20, but I have not been doing very well recently. I should really practice more!

I prefer Endless to Arcade/Planet Mode as I can get 100% Weapon Power in about a minute. I hate playing Lave as you start off with a puny one bullet rock crusher and it takes ages to upgrade. I dislike fighhting bosses too. Bomber and Survival are interesting, but I love all the big explosions of Endless!!

As far as I am aware, you can only buy on playstation network. It was £5 for the standard game, and an extra £3 for the upgrade that includes easy mode and 3 hard modes (endless, bomber, survival). I believe there will be a co-op and vs online version coming soon.

For me this is the best value game I have ever played. £8 for the amount fun and game time I have had.

Do you mean using the Gold Melter in a circle motion? Though not as powerful as the ice splitter (my favourite) the gold melter pushes a lot of the enemies away giving you a bit of space.
