  • I love similarities in Polynesian dance. It's so wonderful to see all our people learning from each other. Mahalo nui loa Kumu Teresa. Maika'i no!

Attention Tahiti!

  • I love this performance! Awesome job and congratulations to the instructors and the students!

  • Very beautiful!

    Is this Halau from Tahiti?

  • yes! but instructors are from Hawaii

  • Beautiful performance!

very talented and graceful hula and chant...

    loved the Oli!

    congratulations to them!

  • The grace that those polynesians have is incredible...I forgot when did exactly the first arrive in Hawaii or Hawaiki?

  • Aloha kaua, the estimates of our kupuna kahiko, our ancestors arriving in Hawai'i are between 1500 yrs ago to as much as 1800 yrs ago. Anthropologists believe that there were several migrations, the first from the marquesas, then tahiti and last samoa i believe. me ka ha'aha'a, keli'i

  • Such dignity to the Hawaiian culture and hula! What amazement Theresa has done for the Tahitian community by sharing her love for her culture, her Hula, and her people of Hawaii! She will always have the respect from many for her courage and bravery! She will always have my highest gratitude because through her teaching, she has strongly encouraged me not only in "Hula" but as a "person". No matter what anyone says, she is a blessing to us all! We love her!!!

  • Teresa is a good teacher. She is passionate about Hawaiian dance in Tahiti. She is #1 because she works hard with her students, and wants them to represent the hawaiian culture at its best...its okay if she uses harsh words to get the job done...any great leader would do the same, besides she is human, just like you...toujours heureuse, cr!

  • hahaha!!! to sourcesoleil...so what if the kumu uses the words "titoi" (branleurs). Kumu Theresa is a good teacher. She is #1 not because of "...ces titoi" but because of her hard work, her aloha, and her passion for what is Hawaiian. If students cannot understand the role of the KUMU than hula is not for them. It is too bad for you that you lost because the winners are still dancing!!! hahaha...faitoito to you and felicitation to teresa...Poland?, yah right!!! u should be toujours heureuse, cr

  • teresa is a good teacher, because she is passionate of hawaiian dance in tahiti. She is #1 because she works very hard with her students and wants them to represent the hawaiian culture at its best...its okay if she uses harsh words to get the job done...any great leader would do the same, besides she is human, just like you...toujours heureuse, cr!

  • this is very nice and pleasing to watch. coming from Hawai'i and knowing the correct ways of what "HULA" is supposed to sound and look like, it's so nice to see that people are actually portraying our culture correctly! Maika'i NO!

and i LOOOVE THE little french chanting in the beginning. Mahalo!

  • wow is that halau from tahiti there awesome!!

  • so authentic. wow french in the beginning?

  • of course french ^^ it's for miss Tahiti. And Tahiti is a French territory. But the dance is Hawaiian, not tahitian.

  • i know. i just don't wanna say it's french exactly because i don't wanna someone to freak out. so i asked. haha

  • ^^ no worries

  • eh.... teach me sum hawaiian words LOL... hey i loved it awesome!!!

  • magnifique !

  • merci pour eux, nana;o))

  • Aloha is it Halau Hula `O Kauhionamauna (Papeete)?

  • Mahalo Nui for the correction.
