I got an Atlas Amtrak Ph 5 dash 8 with sound. I'm also placing catenary poles and wires on my layout!! (no electricity in the wires.) I'm also planning on buying an Atlas AEM-7 for electrified service.
These engines can pull (individually) up to 6 or 7 passenger cars, but realism and the tight radius curves
can be a problem on my layout. All of my trains can go through these 18' curves fine, but I like to be safe in case anything falls off the table. (Which has happened before)
do those trains not have the strength to pull more than 3 or 4 cars cause that is wierd. Mbta pulls 7 to 8 cars on one roundtrip from haverhill to boston. Now thats real strength!!! :0

i got trian tracks at kewanne ill we have 2 an we have a trian station and the amtrack comes in the mornining and night p.s. nice horn

All the P40's are stored or sold. The engine in the video is a P42 pulling Amfleet single level coaches with an F59PHI on the rear

Both engines are powered and have DC. I have a Bachmann DCC layout, and there's a button on the controller that allows you to use both DC and DCC.

It's a dummy if the layout is DC powered, powered if DCC.
