One thought - instead of being the "daughter of the rain", shouldn't you be the mother of the rain? If your tears are rain, you bore the rain. I know you are way young to be a mother, but it makes more sense.
I love the refrain. It is simple and poetic and . . . just lovely. It is like sipping hot chocolate on the first truly cold winter's day. It is comforting and makes you all warm inside. Wonderful song, I think. I will have to play it again to fully appreciate it.
