Had the pleasure of spending a week listening to and learning from this wonderful artist in the late 90's. I just learned of his passing this week. A voice smooth as silk, could sing ANYTHING...wonderful musician and brilliant talent. *RIP*

I recall as teenagers growing up in Washington Heights, NY. Larry would sing his 1920's songs. Kenny, I and frankie would be singing Doo Wop together or with different groups. Little did we know then that music would become part of our furture lives. Larry became Tiny Tim, Frankie became the lead singer for the Teenagers, and I went on to bass for The Chevrons, and you Kenny went on to become one of our most gifted and talented singer-song writers and guitarist .

Kenny has ever done. Have been a fan of

his since the "Like a seed" album came out in 1972. He will be missed!

This guy has always been someone I've hugely admired vocally, and instrumentally. He's a "Mel Torme-esque/Velvet Fog monster" vocally, though Torme only played piano to some degree from what I understand. Rankin's a consumate guitarist as well! Like I said, big influence!  Hope you enjoy.
