  • That looks just as good as the harry potter 7 movie

  • After Effects

  • looks like skyrim shock ultimate. love it <3

  • Is there a tutorial teaching how to do that ? Because I didn't finde a good one

  • @Cedrak1337 I mainly did this on my own. I had a few other helps but the lightning was mostly my doing.

  • @Dmsquare100 PLEASE!! post a tutoral!! this is so cool

  • @B4BJr we'll see. I'm working on a new video. shooting starts next sunday.

  • @Dmsquare100 Well, you said that the lightning you did, that's all I wanna learn :)

  • Nice effect, but a mask on the leg of the subject in right would sell it more..

  • @SeeJayProduction yeah, I didn't really have that mind set 2 years ago when I did this. Now I'm better. I should really redo this video. new camera and new techniques.

  • @CZfx123 right?! Hahahahaha

  • Lol to everyone who were expecting this to be real!

  • fake

  • @4kookiekones you don't say? <.<

  • You can do it Harry!

  • it is not real

  • @860eli ???????? really?

    You don't say?

  • @860eli LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL xD putain mais tu ma tuer sur ce coup boyy mdrrr

  • @860eli oh, it's totally real. they are wizards

  • Just curious :) how did you create that bright hot spot in the middle of the strike

  • @SuperGintu well, because all of the lightning is very bright, I think they all just collided together and then made a bright hot spot. I don't remember if that was exactly what i did. I would have to look at the project file. It was either that or an extra optical flare.

  • @Dmsquare100 Thanks :) cause i also tried creating something similar a while back but i could never get it to properly merge and look like they were fighting each other. It always looked sloppy and laying on top of eachother

  • @SuperGintu This was almost 2 years ago. so i don't remember

  • Infamous much???

  • @rover6751 That was kinda the idea. I'm just trying to get the lighting to go 3 dimensional.

  • I guess these 2 guys are brothers since Priori incatatem is initialized

  • This would have taken me 11 hours in 2010.

In 2012 however with better tools, it would take me 10.5 hours.

  • @Rikashk Thanks friend.

  • expeliarmus.. avada kedavra..!!! :P

  • voldermort nuff said

  • great effect, just thought that the camera wobble looked a little fake.

  • Comment removed

  • i made my own wizard battle video here, it doesnt have many views yet but if everyone could check it out (I spent atleast 800 hours working on it) and thumbs up this comment so it gets into the top comments, it'd mean the world to me :)

  • Couldnt bother to add sound.

  • @TheWiiTube if you read the description, i'm a VFX, not a sound designer. if I did, it would be total crap.

  • @Dmsquare100 : the video is awesome! but I also agree with @TheWiiTube about the sound! such good videos really become amazing once u add some sound! I'm also an animator so I don't know much about sound effects but why don't you try Sony Sound Forge or something similar?peace!

  • Hmm...

    Day for night + Vignette,

    Particular or particle world,

    alot of lightning advanced,

and a wee bit of camera shake <3

Like the effect... but how the heck did you put 11 hours in a video of 7 seconds?

  • @mar990 if you read the descritopn, i take my time so I can get it correct. if something is wrong, then I have to fix it. if something I don't like, I fix. Think about it. lots of hours on good video or less hours on crap?

  • @Dmsquare100 fully understand your point,

and Dmsquare, im not critisizing you, at all.

i make special effect video's myself, and am amazed over how it would take so long for people..

lots of hours give a huge boost i agree,

but i disagree over how less hours would mean crap.. it all depends on how experienced you are creating the effects you want to..

    Cheers

    ~Special Fx with mar990

  • @mar990 You must be an expert.

  • @GeassGuy what makes you assume that? o.0

  • @mar990 : lol

  • what program?

  • Effects are good, but the original film isn't in a high resolution even in 720p.

  • Who is a winner? :D

  • HARRY POTTER! haha

  • Next time you use motion tile you should mirror the edges like videocopilot told you to

  • @Elwood19901 are you talking about the twitch?

  • @Dmsquare100 right, and imo you shouldve used the wiggler instead of the twitch plugin doesnt look shaky

  • Hey! My name is Edward and I host a Youtube channel called AudiowaveformTV (as you probably know) that does

VFX with Adobe After Effects. One day I would like to be just as inspirational to the world such as these

people are. But in order to do that, I need support and viewers. If you are actually taking the time to read

this, I hope that you guys can just take a minute to check out my channel and just take a look at my videos.

Please like for others to see

    Thank you.

  • POPCORN

  • @kekokevin sim, eu usei o Adobe After Effects. Os efeitos já está dentro dos programas. Eu faria o som mas o problema comigo fazendo os sons é que eu não sou bom nisso. Se eu tivesse feito isso, teria feito com que pareça mais realista

  • No do that with fire and you'll look like Zuko and Azula's last battle

  • where is Cole mcGrath ?

  • actually, I think that one is lightning , and the other is "absorve" (a like-lightning power).

Ohhh, old times of SW:JA , and SW:KotoR

  • The actual effect looks perfect! I think the post-camera shake needs to be turned down a bit, or going in more than just one axis, but other than that it was perfect :D

  • so who won?

  • why does this look like a nike commercial?

  • This is really amazing, what did u use for this? It reminds me of the effect in Harry Potter 7 part 2... please respond, I really want to learn how to do this!

  • @dabeast560 I used advanced lightning. I really wish I could do the harry potter one. That would be cool. I'm still learning but this is old footage.

  • @Dmsquare100 ....top effect...i felt the power.....check out "kermitcasson" for top harry potter effects...

  • @HOMEnHIGH I have seen him. He is very talented.

  • @Dmsquare100 do you have trapcode particular? You need that external plugin to do harry potter effects

  • @Dmsquare100 try putting the forking to 0 on advanced lightning and make the core bigger and maybe add some distort

  • @username42a is that for the harry potter or for lightning? For lightning, Ive found, is that more forking is better, smallish cores are more naturalistic, and the distort is unnecessary. for doing it with Harry potter, I do have particular, i just don't know how to really use it in that form yet. Although, I'm sure if I spent more time or found tutorials, I could use and tweak it to my liking. Thanks.

  • @Dmsquare100 harry potter

  • ok i need to ask one question and plz answer.....how did you do the light of the lightning be reflected on objects like on the ground or on you bodies???? plz answer i need the info

  • @rex800510 well in this one there are a few things

    1. the light on the ground was done with 2 solid layers. a blue and a pink. made them ovals and then lowered the opacity. over the past year and a half, I have learned how to do it the right way. Obviously this was the wrong way, but the idea is that it helps the effect.

2: i was fortunate enough to have the lighting on my body be there already. THAT light is actually special effects, not visual. remember, this was shot in the daylight, a 1PM

  • que hpta tan cortico

  • @Turuturiales ?????????????

  • Woud've been cooler if it had sound

  • @SolidStrifer yeah the problem with me doing should is I don't know how to make the sound sound good. I know if i would have put sound, ti would have made the video look more cheesy than it is already. I'm working on it though.

  • lol that's awesome. Pretty good, congrats!

  • @Zaro7 Thanks man. my skills have improved since then.

  • tutorial pleaseeee.....

  • @ricky2737 I'lll think about it.

  • Lightning in the beginning moved too slow. Still pretty good effect.

  • @Leadman1989 yeah, I know, but the slowness wasn't my main point of the effect. But thanks. I'll be sure to make it realistic next time.

  • MUST GET TUTORIAL. it looks so realistic and shaded properly. everytime i do it, the effect looks cartoonish

  • @kungfool69 I'll think about it. what makes the difference is the environmental lighting and the optical flares on the finger tips.

  • I dont know why it took you so long. Advanced lightning , some light and simple particles.

  • @DarthNihilus95 Yes, but I also had to do and try different things until I liked it the way it is. I also had to hand track my fingers for the optical flares. I put 3 on each hand and each one was hand done with each frame. This was also shot during the day time, so I made it night, and there are some other factors. If I did this now, it would take me way less time and it would probably look better.

  • LEGIT! That looks good, the reflection of the lightning looked good (glow)

  • @Sauriouz Thanks again. This one was one of my first videos. THIS one I took more time on. although i know some things I could do better now. Again no sound because i'm not good at it.

  • @Dmsquare100 keep it up man! i bet you are tons better now! and i understand about the sound thing, it's really hard for me to do sound design, especially since i don't have the things to work with. We have to work with what we've got!

  • see THIS is the effect I intended to do in my Rift video. great job!

  • @wrenthereaper Thanks man.

  • if u had adder motion tiles on video it will not be raw i think coz in while video u have used twitch plugin from videocopilot but u didn notice in both side corner watch it once more in both side corner i will notice wht u forget to do ?

  • @tailaday uhm, i kinda see what ou are saying but your english is very broken and it is hard to understand. I'll see what I can do. I'm working on a short lightsaber and lighting video right now.

  • @Dmsquare100 u r rgt my english is broken sorry for tht .......but if u check ur video once u will see differance in both side of you corner coz of camera shaking .........chek on 0.07 sec u will see differance

  • @tailaday Alrighty then I will check that out. Thank you for that observation. :) New video coming out soonish. be sure to check it out. :)

  • its seems like as raw .........

  • @tailaday What do you mean sir/madame?

  • Nicely done! I love it!

  • Nice! Did you do it with Particular?

  • @ExplosiveFilms2007 the sparks falling was from particular. most of the other stuff was straight from After Effects.

  • @Dmsquare100 kk but isn't Particular quite expensive?

  • @ExplosiveFilms2007 just a little, but it is quite worth it.

  • I approve.

  • HARRY POTTER!!!!! haha.

    very nice jedi whore ^_^

  • very nice. what program did u use for the effects?
