Why do people try to compare this ride with other rides that are extremely different. If you compared KingDa Ka with this, it wouldn't make any sense!

They are both made by different companies!

Superman The Escape was made in 1999 or something and KingDa Ka was made in 2006 or so! GOSH!

Umm...totally wrong. Intamin AG is the manufacturer of Superman: The Escape (Six Flags Magic Mountain) and Kingda Ka. They are both launch coasters, too, so you CAN compare. However, this was built in 1996* and Kingda Ka in 2005 (get it right), so there is quite an age difference.

*Superman: The Escape was originally intended to open in 96', but technical problems delayed it until 97'.

yes this is superman. It's called Superman the Escape, and it's at Six Flags Magic Mountain. There are other superman rides which I guess you are getting confused with.

I was almost on an accident on this ride! You know how at the back of the station there are openings for the track to continue through with curtains over them? Well, I was on the ride and we came down from the spike and we were rushing through the station and I thought we were going too fast. Well, next thing I know, we're behind the station and the train stops really quickly. I'm so happy there are emergency breaks on this ride! We were 10 feet from a barrier and in the back of the car.

cgr10717: Greezed Lightnin' was NOT like this--it was much, much better. This ride looks super lame. All it does is go forward, up, and then back. Greezed Lightnin' at least had a loop. They need to get rid of this to make room for something better--a 350+ ft drop tower might not be a bad idea!

It still does and always has gone 100 mph. It has always only gone 328 feet up the 415 foot tower. Same thing with Tower of Terror in Australia. Reaches same speed and height, even though the tower is only 377 feet high.

I think SFMM and Cedar Point pretty much match each other up with the thrills. but I think that Cedar Point pwns SFMM when it comes to family attractions.

Dang, last time I went on this, we only got to like 45 mph. We didn't even hit the vertical section of the track, lol. Tons of fun. I love it when the train screams by when you stand under the track XD <3
