  • T_T UN CLASICO

  • ...IS THERE ANYONE INSIDE?

  • i always thought it sad you dont know me like that O.o

  • It's definitely saying "I am your monster."

  • The voice is saying "Is there anyone outside?" It's garbled due to technical limitations -_-

  • it's saying "the granola and stuff"

  • ojala mueras ya WAHAHA

  • what are they saying?

  • i always thought this kind of sounded like the bass solo to fleetwood mac's "the chain"

  • Sounds like it says " I dont want to be locked up"... Maybe?

  • I think the voice says, "death to tyrants." Its a tribute to john wilkes booth.

  • @rgiblin6 WTF does this have to do with john wilkes booth?

  • ZAMN featuring Nigel Thornberry. :D

  • @mason3750 You sr, are WIN! It DOES sound like him.

  • @KvalhduraYR yah typo lol

  • The voice says: Is there any outside?

I find it a bit disturbing though.

  • @TVsmasher66 I don't see how though. When i first heard this i always thought "Did you hear what i said". Don't care if it doesn't make any sense. Thats what i always hear. I also can't hear outside because it sounds like "Said" not "Side".

  • @RDMonkey2 I don't care either, bu it's officail from, an "interview"

  • "Did you hear what i said?"

I can never listen to this song without hearing that for as long as i live.

  • lol Sounds like its saying "Om-nom-nom!"

  • doesnt this song wanna make you save random babies, cheerleaders, fat ppl in the pool,.....

  • this game needs a reboot

In closing:God I miss this game so much I feel like a fucking idiot for selling my NES

  • omg i used to have this game on sega genesis

  • the zombie is saying ghum da ghum da means roll me a joint

  • It doesn't sound like "Is there anyone outside?" at all, why do people think this is what it supposedly said? Also, don't you think, given zombies are usually trying to get INSIDE that "Is there anyone inside?" would make a lot more sense? (I always thought it was just grumbly moaning though)

  • @Endelite Because the developer said thats what it was I believe.

  • @Endelite They think that because they're RIGHT. The person (Joe McDermott) who composed the music for this game confirmed that he was the one who was saying the phrase

  • Sounds like the LOTR theme.

  • The marching sounds are the Nazi Zombies training for their Call of Duty appearance 15 years later.

  • "Is there anyone outside?" If it was just a zombie moan I think I'd have been happier, that's made this even creepier.

  • All of these songs are VERY CREEPY!!!!!

  • This is the best one. I would always trap a zombie walking downwards, pretending he was making that odd chanting.

  • @Robin1890ful for fuc sake. but he's wrong lol its "is there anyone outside"

  • Comment removed

  • "Is there anyone outside?"

So after all these years, that's what he said... Mind blown.

  • This is the song that has been stuck in my head all these years!!!

  • @Philitron128 It's been stuck in my head for a long time too.

  • IS THERE ANYONE OUTSIDE,FOR THE PPL WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND THE VOICE

  • "Technical Limitations" is a lame excuse considering in Super Metroid you can very clearly hear "The last Metroid is in captivity. The galaxy is at peace." There was no limitation there. Why in this song?

Regardless............. I love this game. :D

  • @Erekai The SNES sound chip has a very small amount of memory to work with. The audio playback code, the song/SFX data, and instrument samples all have to be crammed into it.

When that speech is played in Super Metroid, nothing else is happening.

  • Catchy tunes, great levels, all the monsters you can think of.....DAMN ZAMN is a true classic!!!!

    This song the best one.

  • actually, Nrognrogthow sounds like HPlovecraft stuff :p

  • Nrognrogthow

  • to me, I always thought they say ''Is there anyone going out?''.

  • uh hu lum la lie south

  • I don't care if it's wrong, the only thing I'll ever hear is "cucamonga-monga".

  • I always thought it was "we are only ourselves."

  • i remenber this game, i arried lv 52 alone omfg those times T_T! so happy, this game was the opening for Resident Evil ^^

  • Is There Anyone Outside??? Well, About 10 People, Some Dogs And About 50 Zombies!!!

  • 1:00

  • *performs teh death dance*

  • Best video game ever. They should make a version for PS3, et al, but keep it side scroll and just update the graphics a bit. Great music, great game play, great atmosphere. Just a great game.

    Thanks for the upload.

  • Shoot it man. SHOOT IT IN THE HEAD!

  • "Is there anyone outside?" D:

  • this song has ALWAYS creeped me out. i thought it was only cuz i was really little when i started playing this game, but listening to it now, it STILL creeps me out.

  • Wow, "Is there anyone outside?" That is scary. Everyone else is asleep right now, and my door is shut. Maybe someone IS outside... Oh well, I have an axe.

  • SO CREEPY

  • I always thought the voice in there was a zombie eating brainz...

  • @Thaddman45

Yeah, I still like to think of it as a zombie going, "Monmonmon" while he's eating.

  • i actully thought the voice said {i,m talking to myself} o_o

  • my sister thought the zombies were saying "make me breakfast"

  • huh i thought that was some random gargling noise, not someone talking lol

  • IS THERE ANYONE OUTSIDE

  • Starting from :54 it sounds like the music from The Hitchhiker and 80s thriller series

  • LOL..what the he11 is he mumbling?!

  • @phildisma it kinda sounds like "I'm locked out"

  • i learnt this on bass it took me like few weeks to get it perfect :D i was well chuffed :)

  • "Go home turn your lights out"

  • "Is there anyone outside?"

  • awesome bass on this track.

    slappin da bass mon

  • @jayfreshprime actually its just a telecaster, its just once it was put on the game which was only 8 bit sound, it sounded like this. all of the parts on these songs are real instruments, nothing's midi

  • This song used to scare the shit out of me

  • same, the level still does

  • A nom a nom a nom lol XD

  • zombie mumbling freaked the shit out of me and my buddies

  • @FLYINHAWAIIAN37

    I hate you.

  • @SuprSokrSuicide

    thank you

  • the part at 0:44 sounds like a song that Ive heard before, anyone know who by any chance? I wanna say Fleetwood mac but I could be wrong.

  • @GaryGolems

some parts of this songs remind me the Lord of the Rings soundtrack...

    anyway nice track =)

  • reminds me of the chain

  • Comment removed

  • "Omg I'm Locked Out" XD

  • i thought i was just someone moaning like zombie noise like that but hes saying is there any one outside

  • it's a zombie moaning ffs people

  • @feh2 its actually someone saying is there anyone outside- its just so 8bit lolz

  • @TheFugiapple12

THIS WAS A YEAR AGO. >:(

  • I always thought it was just a zombie making chewing sounds rather than it trying to say something...

  • he's saying "I want some, I want some"

  • Well a user who commented on my upload of this says Joe McDermott claims it says "Is there anyone outside"

    Great tune!

  • "How Long Have I been Out"

"How Long Have A been Knocked Out"

  • "this is wrong im fucked up"

  • "It's a romulan cow" is my guess.

  • its "hey mom were locked out"

  • is there anyone out there?

  • sounds like its saying " i dont wanna go"

  • sound like its saying "i want that"

  • What? No, I can't give you a ride.

There's no room in my car!

  • A ZOMBIES DROWNING! SAVE HIM!

  • 0:52 this part scared the fuck out of me!

  • it's worse and loud at 0:56

  • sounds like it's saying "the granola and stuff"

  • It's just zombie garble.

  • "you can love me like that"

  • Joe McDermott did the music for this game.

  • hahah nice brother

  • For the longest time, well should I say for 16 yrs. my older bro and I thought he was saying "amuna ra shant" and come to figure out he's sayin "is there anyone outside". . . lol thats funny. . .

  • thanks dude!!!! ive been looking for the music from this game for so long!!!

  • crap, is true, this song sounds like mr. crowley

  • For those wondering what he's saying: I actually emailed Joe McDermott (the composer of this song), and he told me the voice clip in this song is him saying, "Is there anyone outside?". It's almost unintelligible due to technical limitations.

  • Just a quick update. The Fat Man (the producer of the song) recently added that Joe has forgotten why he chose to say that line, and that their "tiny-at-the-time friend Chris Boas" provided the "Uh-oh!" in the "Titanic Toddler" song.

    (I love hearing creator commentary.)

  • where can you hear the commentary?

  • Ask one of the people who worked on Zombies Ate My Neighbors for their thoughts. If they answer you, there's your commentary! That's what I meant. Sorry for the confusion.

  • rly? that's kinda strange cuz nintendo's wario's woods for the snes had some voice acting in it and it can be heard very clearly.............

  • Yeah, but, keep in mind, the voice clip in this song was slowed down to make it deep and creepy, thus reducing the quality even more. The "Uh-Oh!" from "Titanic Toddler" can be heard pretty clearly.

  • i'd rather think of it as a zombie just growling instead of "is there anyone outside?"

  • IMO, it sounds too....clean to be zombie growling. I always just thought it was a civilian mumbling.

  • @ClevelandRock Thanks for sharing that with us. :] I always thought the voice clip was creepy, but for some reason that makes it seem even more scary.

  • @ClevelandRock well lets just say its a zombie talking, because i sounds way cooler. "why does it sound like that?" "technical problems" "oh" OR "why does it sound like that?" "zombies are trying to get you." "DAMN"

  • @ClevelandRock -- The SNES was quite capable of clear speech. More like the sample was made to sound like zombie-like mumbling. Or Joe McDermott had rubbish sound recording equipment.

  • @ClevelandRock lol, wow. i can actually hear that now that i know what to listen for. i've always heard 'it's the evening of the undead', for obvious reasons.

  • @ClevelandRock I always thought it said "'cause I want my life back"

  • @ClevelandRock Ask him if the LOTR theme has ripped him off?

  • i remember me n my older brotha used to play this game n he would get upset cuz i would always die

  • hey i gotta remix of this song i made on my mysapce page search for super zombie zin i also got a fable remix and a mario underwater

  • Best song in the game, and it doessound like rap if you listen to underground rap and not commercial bullshit.

  • lol i remember i played this game when i have 13 years old

  • Sounds like Mr.Crowley by Ozzy. xD

  • im 17 years old and this song scares the SHIT out of me!!!

awesome game though! it should come out for the virtual console

  • Zombie Rap yo

  • rap? wtf is wrong with you

how is this even a rap

  • what verses roflol

  • when the zombie goes rrarararaarararaa

  • i dont call that a verse you know o.o

  • huh whatever the song is cool period

  • that it is :D

  • hey im playing it now!!! awesome!!!!!

  • I don't think what the Zombie is saying is words. He's just mumbling to the beat of this amazing music. Gosh, I miss this game!

  • does anyone have sheet music for this stuff? i wanna do metal covers of all the zombie tunes

  • dude, that would be cool as hell. This would make an awesome metal song.

  • nah, imagine "Day of the Chainsaw," level 3 I believe, the hedge maze music. the beginning riff would be so heavy. all ZAMN music would be pretty sick in a metal cover though.

  • sounds like

    "is there anyone out there"

  • 'We better warn ourselves?

    We better arm ourselves?

    Whats is that voice saying?

  • he just says ''mawaqua'' thats it

  • lol

  • it says "is there anyone else help"

  • i just want to find the tabs

and play it on my bass

when i was a kid i thought it said

    ''company and the scouts''

    lolz

  • this music used to freak the crap out of me as a kid but yet i loved it. i remember the levels it was on, the 3rd level and the later beach level with the fish people. I always thought the voice in the song was saynig "the columbia cartell" or something like that. oh well, maybe im just weird

  • this is the best song

  • it sounds like its saying you don't know me like that lol

  • lol dude that's perfect. *zombie moan* 'you don't know me like that...' *zombie moan*

  • Dont look at me like that.... Dont look at me like that....

its from one of those old zombie movies where the chick didnt know the guy was a zombie, and he was looking at her "Brraaaaiiiinnsssss",

and she was like: Dont look at me like that....

  • So its really an early rap song!

  • good one

  • oh my god, there are zombies at the beach

  • Lol.

Well matter what the zombie is saying we can all agree that the music is awesome!

  • there should be a like doom metal cover of this

  • ggygyyggo

  • Is this song composed of zombie moans and grunts and an army of zombies stomping? Because it's awesome.

  • this songs awesome its simple lol not very creepy i must say well to those who aren't easily creeped out but i think if someone could do a cover of this song that would be awesome lol i could imagen a new edition of this video game it would be fun as hell man someone should really do a remake of it lol oh well pipe dreams sad to say well thanks for upload N good job!

  • What does that voice say? It sounds like "there's a woman in my car"...

  • sorry but I lol'ed so hard at that, on a serious point it does sound like that

  • It does, doesn't it? So until we find a better answer, let's say they DO sing that! :)

  • lol

  • lol! I think it's just sposed to be some random growling and zombie moaning

  • noooooooooooooooo duuuude

everybody knows it says, "Nah rung ah ruhh puhhh"

  • noooooooo duuuuude

everybody knows it says, "Nah rung ahhh ruhh puhhh"

  • I always thought it was just a zombie chewing on flesh...

  • It's just zombies growling, but when I was a kid I thought it was somebody drowning. =/
