Gorgoroth, Nightwish, Graveworm, Slipknot, Rammstein, Anthrax, Korn, they are all great metal bands with awesome fucking lyrics and kickass music in general. Dani's voice had an outstanding octave range of singing/screaming. well used to. the guitarists actually MAKE their riffs and the bass in this song is incredible. My question is why has no one supplied the correct genre, despite the multiple bashings of those that have declared it to be death metal. BTW, looking at Wikipedia does not constitute as enough knowledge to declare COF "Extreme Metal," yes they are tech. extreme, but you can get much more specific than that. Their first album was black, but since then they have been doing mainly Progressive Gothic Metal with their most recent albums being much more progressive than older ones.

Cradle of Filth is epic and supernatural. It's almost like being back in medieval Europe when you listen to their songs. There's no Death Metal band that can do what COF does. In fact they get copied a lot( or how's a nice way to say it? o yeah...they 'influence' bands) by bands in that scene.COF deserves an award for their committment to Death Metal and giving it such a cool ass image and sound. They make Death Metal seem so cool,don't they? That's not easy folks....

The main character, "Dani", lovingly describes a woman, who we later find to be his wife, and states how she was raped and left to die by "five men of god." The focus of the song is on Dani's reaction to discovering the body (he doesn't take it well and cant accept her as truly being dead), and his quest for vengeance. He discovers the church key near the body, and soon snaps, locking the offenders in the church then burning it down.
