Pewaukee is basically the *sshole of Wisconsin...That is where Scott "idiot" Walker is from for christ sake. What a mistake to hold a listening session for people who want one way conversations!
These people don't understand what the constitution was about, nor do most of the people who have made comments, with the exception of a few. Go back to your post-revolutionary history reading, understand the circumstance of a fledgling nation now 'independent' with almost nil support from England, and think about commerce, international trade, WAR DEBTS, and the promises to pay its soldiers, no standardization of weights, measures, or money, et al. Government = economy (fools)
Feingold, Feinstein, Boxer, Harman, Waxman, Schumer, Wexler, Schakowsky, Kohl, and ALL the other JEW GOONS MUST BE THROWN OUT OF CONGRESS and America has a chance at survival. And that includes the Jew Bernanke and the Federal Reserve.
EVERYONE here is missing the point. YES its a power grab. but what those guys want is a power grab for good will. u wanna know why? because the corrupt guys in power ALREADY have power grab, but only for THEMSELVES. it hurts to see good senator get grilled like this because of people, intead of doing primary information research, they go watch secondary information in the media, which is bought and paid for.
Wow what a bunch of crap those people don't even understand what they are talking about, how is covering 30 million more americans and lowering the deficit while saving people money and stopping insurance companies from cutting you off whenever they want?
"how is covering 30 million more americans and lowering the deficit while saving people money" I am consistently amazed that those opposed to health care "don't even understand".
You have to want it very badly to be willing to shut your brain off to the reality that you don't save money and lower the deficit by covering 30 million more people with tax payer dollars.
Art. 1 Sec. 8. ??? does NOT clearly give this power to Congress. Regulate as in make more consistent NOT as in fully manage/take over. If I take a reading (your reading) of this clause that accommodates any of the current reform proposals, then there is NO part of the American economy that should not be completely run by the federal government. Am I wrong? Or do you really believe the framers were advocating this kind of government intervention in the economy?
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and "general Welfare" of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
That's how argunments of the constitutionality of the health care bill are bogus.

There's the enumerated power for you. Contrary to what anti-Obamaites might believe, the Constitution did not start with the Bill of Rights.
I do admire Feingold's independent thought, however his voting record belies his consistently partisan position. As to the Harvard law degree... it hasn't helped our President understand the Constitution very well either. The beauty of our Constitution is that even the "ignorant people" are able to discern that it was written to protect us from the kind blatant power grabs that we are currently witnessing.
Feingold LIES when he claims he can "document" that "90 % of people who turn out to these listening sessions, support major healthcare reform", because at NONE of these listening sessions has he ever taken a count, a survey, or a vote regarding who is for, and who is against. Feingold made up his claim out of thin air, because Russ Feingold is a LIAR! Russ Feingold IGNORES his constituents! I used to vote for Feingold, but not any more!
Russ does not give about the people until 4 weeks before his election, then he forgets about them again. It is time Feingold gets replaced. The guy is a phony.
A major house cleaning is coming to Washington. My fear thou, is that after all the campaign promises, (lies) are made and the elections are done, the replacements will be as bad or worst than thugs, and criminals who were booted out. Just thinking out loud.
I respected him for voting NO on the first run of the P-Act, and now I am disgusted. He knows damn well that the Supreme court is just a shell of what the Constitution created. They shill the criminal line today. If any part of that bill is constitution questionable, than you don't vote for it. WTF. Congress, and the pres(exec orders) pull this shit all the time now. Pass and see isn't good enough anymore.
He can get the f*ck out with the rest of ALL OF EM IN 2010!

what a bunch of ignorant people. Here's Russ Feingold, a Harvard law graduate, a great independent thinker in the Senate.
Constitutional? How is this bill not constitutional?

enumerated powers...that's how.

Be more specific? The commerce clause clearly gives the Congress this power.

Maybe you should vote to increase our national debt yet again along with that asshole Herb Kohl.
Why don't you stop making an ass out of yourself and stop embarassing Wisconsin.
