Rallying was best back in the early part of the decade with Colin McRae, tommi makinen, Richard and marcus etc. Now it's just loeb winning all the time and the Mitsubishis Subarus and peugeots were epic. Rip colin and Richard.
A nice compilation, but imo you should've put Marcus Grönholm doing the champagne-thing in the end.. not Tommi. It was Marcus that became the world rally champion that year. :) It was also the year where he took his first WRC-victory.

I think your going to start to see it come back over the next few years. Now you have a few Big X Games names showing up in pro drive cars. So all the kids that use to watch their favorite riders on the x games are now watching a sellout version of rally with the same people. So I think its breeding a new generation of rally lovers and will give manufacturers a reason to build cars and parts for it.

Ok, a WRC car has VERY LITTLE in common with its road-going relative, so regardless of the body style the car can only become better unless the regulations state otherwise, and even still, improvements in technology will translate into developing a more competitive machine...so no it was not the perfect car, now thats not to say that i dont think that particular car is absolutely magnificent..
so good seeing the 22b, the evo and the 206 again. hope the s2000 class will create a wrc more similar to the 90's. and not some bullshit rally where u got 3 drivers figthing for a title....
yes , and lets hope they get to use more torque and power then the irc has , cuz i know the irc cars are fast , but ppl complain about todays wrc cars for driving to clean (looks boring compared to previous years) and irc cars drive even cleaner cuz they have huge amounts of grip vs small amount of power , i really hope theyre gonna change that !
You can hardly blame Loeb for being better than the rest. It's a great shame Subaru failed to built a good car for the last 2 years, otherwise Solberg would be a competitor for Hirvonen and Loeb, and Atkinson would have beaten Sordo and maybe Latvala, Duval etc.

when you roll over, you dont want the roof caving in and crushing you down so the push up on the roof. it also keeps to stable and glue to the seat.

I'm not sure, but I think that most of the money comes from the tv-stations. not spectators who happens to live nearby racetrack.
And there is stil something like 50-100 cars racing in every WRCrally weekend. There is different classes off course. But every car goes fast.

You can hardly blame Loeb for being better than the rest. It's a great shame Subaru failed to built a good car for the last 2 years, otherwise Solberg would be a competitor for Hirvonen and Loeb, and Atkinson would have beaten Sordo and maybe Latvala, Duval etc.

It's World Rally Championship (sungular not plural).
And a car in this competition is a WRC = World Rally Car. Yes, they actually short it this way.
But refering to the competion itself it's "World Rally Championship", as mentioned before :P
