Obermann is quite right in just about everything he says here. But, a two party system is an insult to the notion of true democracy. It's the absolute minimum number of parties that a system requires to call itself democratic. Plus, it seems that for quite some time, America has actually been under the rule of a one party system that merely pretends that the people have a choice in who leads them. Nowadays, an American can either vote for Very Bad or Even Worse.

In addition, you may think you have freedom of speech, access to information - but only what you are allowed to know about by 'the ones in charge' . Look at it this way: Iraq and Iran have been at war for years. Iran has a nuclear program. Weapons grade or no, do you think Iran's nemesis Iraq will sit by and watch as Iran developed a nuclear program? If Iran got nukes, and saddam was in power, he would have to build WMDs to protect Iraq. That conflict would destabilize the region and threaten the rest of the world, whether you want to admit that or not. Olberman has his "battery plugged in backwards." Chamberlin was an appeaser, which is exactly what Olberman is promoting. He "knows that Iraq is not a threat to the world," despite past invasions of neighbors and all sorts of evidence that can suggest otherwise. Iraq had no army left after Desert Storm, they posed no threat. They never found the supposed Chemical and Nuclear weapons which was the main reason for going there.
