Just installed the very same tach in my '91 Sub. Cost me $30, and it works, so I would say there is nothing wrong with a cheap tach...

@slickss85 well it is a pro tach and did cost alil more than 15 bucks oh and bought it just a couple years ago. i wanted to be able to see out the windshield so i didnt by a 200 dolar monster tach.. kinda pointless.. but thanks

Was that wheel hop at the begining? My '96 5.7L silverado does the same when i punch from a stop. Does good, but not like yours. Nice truck!
