In life, it seems, men have the ultimate upper hand. Women have the stage for a short time (high school, 20s), and men have the upper hand from then on. Comparatively very few men of ANY age want a 40, 50 year old woman, regardless of how "good for her age" she may look (certainly not for long, anyway. lol.) Even a 50 year old man doesn't want a 50 year old female, generally speaking.

In this way, men do seem to have the last laugh.

Met Pattie at this convention and she was utterly charming. Quite happy to chat, appear in photos and sign books with personalised messages, not just a signature. My book will forever stay in mint condition, no grubby fingers leafing through that one !
