I hate it when people say ipad is crap when you know that android is still behind with smoothness of the gui! The new transformer prime caught up with that though. Yes SD card is missing on ipad,and it doesn't need any dongle if you have wifi and a very cheap to buy apple tv! Airplay has limitations like only have 720p output which the transformer beats! Buy what you think is best!

They are too different to compare. If you like the static interface and walled garden, but a bigger (for now) library of quality tablet apps, the iPad 3 should be fine. If you want more out of your tablet, and loves to customize how it looks and behaves, I'd say the Prime is the one to get.

just returned mine :( wifi strength sucks gps did not work kinda miss it already but couldn't get passed the weak wifi. battery was awesome with the dock gaming was fast needs a sleeve or somethin metal scratches easily going to wait for the ATP HD

@Rayz093 Its all fixed with the ICS 4.0 update which this device will automatically get as soon as you connect to the internet. It feels just as smooth as, if not smoother than iOS at this point. Its simple to use, hardware accelerated, customization to the moon and back. They really did fix a lot in 4.0 I was surprised really.
