  • need change oil XD

  • whered u get that car (nissan silvia ks s13 91)?

  • why dont you use el capiten, there is more smoke and a damn big corner and a good kansai drift corner

  • which button is the nitrous button?

  • what i meant was why did u go right before doing ur drift at 2:17?

  • Well entering I turned right for a feint but the car understeered bad mid corner and I made it go wide. Sometimes hitting the E brake can fix that.

  • i really didnt get it when ur turning at 2: 17 why did u go right ?

  • i give my car the most nitrous it can have and tap the nitrous buttom to break loose

  • hey dude did you use a wheel to drift or did you use a controler. and which one would be easyier to use

  • For my vids I use a wheel. I learned with the logitech dual force pro. I can drift with a controler fine. I recomend the wheel I use but some people find the controler easier.

  • you need 2 strt driftin in sum serios whips!!show us sum of your rides in ur vidz...

  • i can drift almost as u without ur drift vids i drifted before i saw ur drifting but when i saw ur drift vids i improved a little more i did this before i didnt watch ur vid i just used hand brake and brake and with a FR car i think there RWD cars y r they called FR in any racing games???

  • FR means front engine rear wheel drive compared to MR mid engine rear wheel drive both are RWD. AWD isnt the same type of classifcation it would be FA or MA if it exists a RA, lol. I hope that answers your question. FF is front engine front wheel drive. Why it makes sense they are difficult to drift.

  • it answers part of my question but y do ever game call it FR instead of RWD

  • Thats just it. Its so you know the difference between FR, MR and RR. All of them are RWD and all handle very differently in racing.

  • yea is true for me the mr handel a lil better than a fr cus the engien in in the midel and i dont like to do drift in rr

  • I can't find the video that you mentioned at the end (Part Two: Show Drifting, Grand Prix Courses). Can you help me find it? I tried to find it in Related Videos, and I didn't find it there

  • I was removed from myspace for the song used in it. I don't have the software to edit it. Hopefully I will have time soon after my move back to NJ to make new videos.

  • Dude after i seen your video i got a question at 5m 04s changing the balast weigth of the car helps the weight transference or is better just remove to stage 3 the weight of the car, because i have this kind of problem after drifting 2 or 3 corners at the exit the car simply stop P:Awsome video:)

  • what about if I use the handbrake?

  • Cam me say whats the good seting for Mazda Rx-7 gt-s limited edition?

  • is it possible to drift the supra rz?

  • u help a lot....ive been playin gt4 for iono how long and i did not kno how to drift. and now i looked this up cuz i got bak on gt4 after a long while cuz driftin on forza 2 got borin and wanted to learn..im usin the madcat mc2 wheel and im gettin a hang of driftin...im usin a 91 GT-S Skyline..with stock hp

  • Thats awsome drifting, whats the best settings to drift with?

  • look at his first video

  • Dam...!!!!your good you hella help me put, thank u

  • i still dont understand how to hold. like on bigger wider turns i cant hold the drift all the way to the end.

  • if you cant hold the drift for too long you r counter stearing to hard or to soft. you need to counter stear around the middle.

  • Correct, but don't forget there is a balance of the throttle as well. To much power and you won't have enough traction to push the car and have to rely on entry speed. To much traction and you will understeer or grip the road when you are counter steering and that usualy causes an accident.

  • this series of vids are great! really helped me with drifting nd setting up the car thank alot

  • hey drift king!! u r awesome. i have a mustang gt with 425hp and sport flywheel adn carbon driveshaft. is this a good car and how do i set it up.

  • i am more used to drift with 4wd driven cars than rwd driven cars

  • gran turismo 1 and 2 were the best for drifting on

  • 5/5

    =D

  • thnx but i use the handbrake and not the normal ones

  • back agin bish. one thing. the more u counter steer the closer to inside??? THATS BULLSHIT. thats like saying the less horsepower u have the faster you go. thats probably cause u feitn it..some cars have better control than others. tell me. whats so fun about swinging the wrong way then "drifting". oh wow maybe u slid across the corner but u had to do a stupid ass motion in order to do so.

  • You don't sound like you drift for fun. I don't know how you drift in GT4, but my methods were learned from the Keiichi Tsuchiya's Drift Bible. You will find the same form of drifting in Japanese street racing and Initial D. At least with my help I've opened the world of drifting to hundreds of viewers.

  • uhm thats in real life... in this game you dont have to do such stuff... u teach followers of you but yet ur just another follower.

  • Hence the name Drift Pirate. Sorry for showing couple of the real ways to drift, if I had known there'd be couple of teen agers that didn't like my help I wouldn't have bothered posting it (this is here just in case you don't get my sarcasm).

  • YO dude, will a different wing affect the drifting of the car cuase i got a silvia k's S13 '88 with 417 hp?

  • A wing is bad for drifting in GT4, even with high horsepower.

  • hehe ur good man... u knw ive been trying to drift with ma frend long time ago i watched alot of videos... anyhow all i did is went and bought cars and went to the driving aids

made them all zeros and the understeer 20 and the cars drift aloooot but i need practice :D

  • can you drift with a faster car like with a skyline completely tune up including hp

  • Are u using steering wheel? im using driving force ex. Its more realistic but maybe little harder to steer quickly. Any experiences?

  • song from the game f-zero x

    what thats song name 3:00

your cool now i can drift pefecktly with cammaro ss :D

  • THIS IS THE FUCKING BEST DRIFT TUTORIAL EVER!!!!!!!!!!

btw a really good way to make money is to buy a mazda RX7 or a mitsubishi lancer EVO then go to japanese event then race the "Japan championship" u will win a Nissan 350z Race car then do "All Japan GT championships" with the nissan race car but tune it first! OR sell it for 318,000 cr.

THX FOR THE GREAT DRIFT TUTORIAL!!!!

  • o i see it nwo

  • ur silvia has no wing rite?

  • no it dont u cant drift with winged cars

(u can but its 500% harder)

  • yes u can. he didnt get the wing from gt auto where u can control the downforce.

  • hey, i remeber that song in this vid, one of em is from f zero! and ssb melee

  • yah, but can you drift with a stock car,you know like the stock silvia its hard I tried to follow it but it doesnt work

  • no not my s2000 my 350z.

    how shall i tune it???

  • how shall i tune my s2000?

  • is a honda s2000 a good driftcar??

  • It is a good drift car but its a hard one to set up for drifting.

  • I ALLWAYS GET THAT TOO MUCH WEIGHT SHIFT.

;[ It fucks up everything and take ages to get the car to the right speed it sucks.

  • OK...now F Zero music fits in WAYYY too well. Oh well thanx for the training vids. Theyre good for starters like me.

  • thanks for the help :) you help alote..

  • pffff this suck´s i am king of king

plis chek my technic on my drift style

i am from chile Y TU NO PUEDES CON MIGO .

  • Hey man I checked out your stuff and that is pretty good. I wouldn't say your king but definetly good. These are lessons for starters and aren't my best drifting. I give you much credit for having a complete lap videos. School will be over soon and when it is I will have time and you can challenge me and we will see who is king.

  • Lame... Dont be a drift wanna be. Any course can support a drifter. And you DONT have to feint drift. Looks ugly. S13 aint the only car that can drift. All cars got their own style SO EVEN THough u can drift an s13 u cant drift them all. Dont teach powersliding... And your oil light is on for some reason. People DONT turn to lessons on YOutube to help you drift. Just practice yourself. You'll find yourself better than these guys who make these things.

  • Seriously dude you are taking this much the wrong way. I have had almost 1000 comments from people who were so happy to have found these videos and not to mention many of them posted exellent drift vids and sent me thank you messeges. I made this to give people something to get the hang of it and most people form there own style from it. Its not easy to learn without a few pointers man.

  • If you think it's lame. You really don't need to comment. You should keep things positive. It's true not everyone knows right off the bat how to drift. I'm barely starting out in grid and any pointers would be a big help. Thanks for the videos...

  • damn man, nice lesson..THX..

  • This helped a lot.. especially the bumper view with live commentary.

  • what kind of tires do you use?

  • Good tutorial, very precise and I like how you address common mistakes we make when we first start out.

I found it very helpful. I still havea long ways to go but I found myself improving significantly following your tips.

If you can, make more vids!!! :D

  • Very nice drifting, I've been doing track setups (see my videos if you're in for a challenge), but recently have been working on drifting. O and btw, ur oil light is on. LoL.

  • So I've been told. *laughs*

  • hey buddy just wanted to say great vid and helpful info but just one question, and im not sure if u already mensioned this, but what were ur suspention settings?

  • Which is beter??? FD's??? FR's??? or FC's???

  • FD and FC are RX-7s. FR is a drivetrain. Better at what?

  • good movie!

PLEASE, WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE 1st SONG???

  • "Whats happenin" I think its by D4L

  • thx!

i liked the song cause it has bass, it's great to blow subwoofers, but it's not what im gonna do, i only like it

  • Personaly I'm not a hip hop guy or most rap for that matter. But I liked this one and my room mate didn't think I'd post it.

  • cool..I like rap musics

  • thank you for the vid it really helped me u da best!!!

  • I've watched all your vids and I can say that I've learned a lot. but I can't make a good setting on an FD for drift.. well. I can drift at it but not like how you drift. Can you help me out? I'd be very happy. Thanks a lot

  • Thats cause FDs are more like a race car so it makes it harder to make a good drift set up but it is a great drift car once tuned right. Do you use a controler, whats your perfered style of drifting and where do you drift? I can make you a base set up to work with.

  • I use dual shock. I drift mostly on special stage route 5, seattle circuit and trial mountain. I use the E-brake to drift and not the weight shifting method. I wanna do the style on how you drift. Thanks

  • I've got a set up for you but it still needs some work. I'll send you a messege with it tomorrow I should be finished with it by then. Trust me, you won't need the e brake with this car, FD's tend to oversteer alot since they are basicaly a big miata with an engine that has 3 moving parts.

  • wow.! thanks!

  • thanks:) well im using Nissan Skyline Sedan, but with that city course, ill hit the walls at the begin, but ill put a vid later and ill show u then how i drift in that city:)

  • u actually use e-brake or only feint, brake, counter? because i always use e-brake when im going in a corner, it will slips the back of your car and just counter, i think thats the easiest way but u drift good man:P im gonna learn much from your vids!:P

  • Thats the reason why I frown on the e-brake. You need to work on your "entry", for me fienting was the easiest and still perfer it cause its a fun way to start a drift. Try to only use the e-brake if you get in a pinch or just fustrated and want to work on countersteering. You realy don't need it, I rarely use mine. Best of luck to you and keep it up. If you get stuck just messege me.

  • Pff good job man:) im learing GT4 drift, but cant do it like u so im watching all your vids to learn it better:P so its actually steer on the wrong way, brakes and steer in the corner and then countersteer?

  • Dont discriminate other vids dumbass and fix ur grammer. You dont know shit.

  • Discriminate against other vids... you know what, never mind I'm just wasting my time.

  • Man this guy is gay. I mean he can drift alright but he's teaching sucks dick. Dumbass wats with the city course and s13? Learn the DIFFERENCE BETWEEN POWER SLIDE AND DRIFT MORON!

  • Unlike you I have a life and in what little time spare time I had I made these videos and answer questions. And you are going to talk all that shit against the hundreds of comments saying how I've helped so much and the succesfull students of mine. Tell me I'd realy like to know what the difference between powerslide and drift I'm sure you'll entertain the veiwers.

  • my favorite kind of drifts are clutch kick drifts

  • Just so you know in gt4 your clutch is when the gear number is grey and from my own experience clutch kicking can't be done unless you have the $250 racing wheel that has a clutch pedal.

  • Not saying clutch kick drift isn't cool but alot of people mistake it in GT4. Most people have never drove a 5 speed and don't understand how different it is.

  • teh g25 count?

  • Not sure yet, I want to get one though, its freagin expensive.

  • where do u live??, i can got mine for 200 and my friend got his for 100 O.o brand new sealed

  • what.. pounds euros dollars????

if its 100 dollars den tell me where yah m8 got it from cause i also wnt 1 desprety xD

  • nope in canadian dollars ^^ 100 - 200 xD

  • how much is dat in euros xD???

  • hmm i know its gunna be rely low in euros cuz americain dollar is worth more than canadian dollars and like $1 EU = $2 US around so ya :)

  • that race was imposible i could never finish it. i think i go down to like 5 hover jets left and that was my best

  • Well me and my freind were breaking eachothers records and it got realy intense like almost heart attack intense. I set the final record 1 minute and 45 seconds. Thats 1 car every 3.5 seconds.

  • yeah and on super nintendo and gamecube

  • On the 64 version do you remeber the death race mode where you had to sideswipe 29 other hover jet cars and the record was who could do it the fastest.

  • do u use the handbreak at all??

also i love the F-ZERO soundtrack

  • The only time I use handbrake is when I drift race and get into a bad understeer situation from usualy tire wear. So I use the e-brake in emergencys, lol. Using the e brake generaly makes a slower and less talented drift but can save you from hitting stuff.

  • Oh and the F-Zero song is actualy a cover by a band called the minibosses. Have you played F-Zero X for N64?

  • nice drifting that will be the best drift if u kept it in the tunnel...:0 it makes the game so much fun to have a drift car...10/10

  • It really does change the game and even after playing forza 2 for a week on my brothers 360 I still think theres just no racing game as good as GT3 and GT4.

  • Thanks alot for the upload, its generous ppl like u that make life a little easier!!!

  • i can do better than that you just need to put a bit of understeer on to make it swing a bit more thats what i do if the car dosn't stay in a drift

  • Keep in mind I wanted mistakes in my tutorials so I can show people a natural run.

  • ok sorry

  • no prob

  • starting cars : The best starting car would be some of the used fr type cars but nothing to powerful cause then the car will just spin uncontrolably.

you should get something that doesn't have hard suspension cause its easier to control a bounsier car like a RX7 gt-limeted or a Toyota corola levin gt- apex.

  • is it any bodykit customization in GT5?

  • Doubt it, the kind of people who make GT games don't belive in that stuff otherwise they'd just make a game called Show Car. I'm not a fan of body kits my self since for the money spent on one I could have a turbo.

  • isnt that the megaman song?

  • Before GT 2 I didn't know crap about cars.

  • lol thanx dude.. helped me heaps :P i can sorta drift now in my 85' rx7 GT limited :D

  • great video tutorial on how to drift in GT4.

  • 0 ASM Understeer, 0 ASM Oversteer and 0 Traction Control, 130 Weight Ballast and -20 Weight Distribution and it drifts as good as yours, so you only need to spend a bit of money on it to make it drift.

I'll play it some more tomorrow and get a Fully Customizable Gearbox and LSD though so i can up the acceleration, but when GT5 comes out, if it's online we'll have to drift :D

  • That doesn't sound to bad but I think its a little weird to use a ballast on a s13 though. I see it making sence, I've only ever used balasts for cars with wierd weight distribution.

  • Quite good video.

I have GT4 and i got a PS3 a couple of months ago and haven't got the Memory Card Adaptor yet so i just played GT4 and started off again earlier, and i got a S13 K's and i used to drift on my PS2 save but i had a S14 on that fuly done up for drifting, but i tried seeing what i could do for little money and all i got for it was a Large Racing Intercooler and Stage 2 Turbo, no LSD, no new brakes, no new tyres, just Sports S2 tyres front and back,

  • WATS THE NMAE OF THE SONG?

  • Man nice vid but you guys wont belive that i dont drift much with rwd but with 4wd... ive got a subaru wrx with 560hp with sport medium tires where i have to rip the e-brake hard to let it go and then get traction with the tires by controlling the throttle... and yes i have e logitech pro steering wheel

  • 4wd drive drifting is plenty real, if it works in rally why not on a road. I just don't like it enough to get good enough to teach it. I think everyone should try more than what I teach and what I teach is a matter of suggestions, not to be the only ways to learn or drift.

  • by the way kaizokukame thankyou for breaking it down to the stages and techniques for drifting it has helped very much

  • Glad it helped. I'm realy amazed at how many people have responded to my vids. One of these days I'm going to have to make more.

  • the settings are shown in lesson 1 but he said you can set the setting any way you want to suit your style

  • heya. tnx for this vid, it really helps me. ^^, can you give me the settings of the car?????

  • it's ok for Newbies but if you want to be like a pro then do dynamic drifting with an s13 or maybe a rx7. Drifting is fun on gt4

  • Good lesson for newbie GT4 drifters. I think for near-stock cars like that, N1 tires were where I started. As I tweaked the suspension, I went as far as N3 for drifting. S2-S3 for 500+hp race cars. brake Balance is also important, but if you practice without it, you may find that it takes some getting used to when switching between those cars with and without brake balancers.

  • Good comment. I made the videos based off of how I learned to start drifting, while it may not work for everyone it has practice set ups.

There are so many ways to learn to drift I just showed the best ones I know. I'd realy like to make some advanced videos, if I can ever get some new software.

  • haha he needs an oil change

  • i have to admit it looks cool but its not the fastes way rounnd a track you wauld need a good line and a well distrabuted car. but still looks cool

  • The trick is knowing where to drift because in some places it can help you ver take or gain you some time. My drift runs are on par with my grip runs when using street or sport tires.

  • can you use the E-brake or just the normal brake?

  • I use the normal brakes. I brake moderatly first to slow down to the right speed then I hit the brakes hard to lunge the car foward and cause a weight shift. Also known as braking drift. E-brake is easy since all you do is hit it when you want to drift. I still say E-brake is a bad habit since it prevents you from learning the other kinds of drifting.

  • whoa.. i do skyline runs in gt3 in ss route 5 all the time.. or that stage your in, so fun... and normally you can just try and enter that sharp u corner at 30 miles with a trueno.. since the ae86 just weightshifts.. but thats in gt3 so dont get me wrong... but yeah nice job.. i cant even do that in gt4 haha xD

  • how do you guys make money on GT. it took me for ever to save for my prized holden commodore (aussie pride) and i have spent heaps on it. Im stuck coz i dont know how to make any more money as my car is shit compared to what i race against

  • There is a rally race I think its coute de almalde or somthin where its paved city road its 2 laps and 2 races for 5000 a peice. The prize is a toyota rally ar worth over 200000. 2 races 4 laps on a track that never gets boring and an easy oppenent.

  • Thanks, I gotta try this!

  • I prefer the RX-7 and some real good brakes, I love braking drifts, especially when they're combined with a power-over.

  • Good vid, but for beginners, I'd recommend the IS with comfort tires on Trial Mountain, forward. The car responds well to feint-ing.

  • what duz speed care's in drifting guys!

  • Dude, I enjoy your videos

I have to say my personal favorite style is a combination of Inirtia and Power Over

  • Thats how I roll, lol.

  • Have you tuned you car or is it stock?

  • The previous vid shows the training setup for learning to fight understeer.

  • Hey I'm extremely nooby at drifting, so I need to know. How do you countersteer with a controller or a driver PRO wheel? Do you tap the control stick, blam it to one direction, or do you roll it? lol I'm so noob.

  • It depends on how much you need to countersteer, with a controler alot of people tap it and some people hold it and feather it. With a wheel the key is to find the spot quick and then balance it.

  • for controler is quite hard n it should b the same on findin that sweet spot n holdin it..but since theres so little time n so sensitive its quite hard..

  • yup some can do it by finding the sweet spot but its alot easier with 900 degrees (wheel) of play compared to 90 degrees (stick).

  • I got a toyota Ae86 in that game. The same one from intial d the movie and it drifts like a cloud. and that is my first drift car. And if you have one of those toyotas plz dnt tune them

  • Don't tune them? Mine is pretty awsome after it was tuned.

  • no wat i meant is dont tune the engine wen ur a begginer

  • I like light mods for beginers but the most important part is matching the tires to the power.

  • ive got a 900hp viper drft car nd a 800hp amuse carbon wat tires should i use

  • damn thats alot of power for driftin, I won't have time to find out till monday but my guess is that you would need sport softs and possibly racing hard.

  • thanks man. nd u thk thts a lot of power. my audi r8 race car produces 1059 hp nd thts not for drifting.

oh yeah and i got a 800hp saleen s7 that can go up to 280mph (i swear 2 god it can)

  • the esprit goes faster, lotus kicks arse royaly, lol.

  • thats nothing my supra dose 290mph and ma audi r8 dose over 300mph

  • dont care cz i just reached 350 on my toyota gt one

  • hey, is there a certain way the car needs to be tuned, like the engine ratio and stuff? and are there certain tires need to be used?

  • Its all relative, I find that in drifting its essential to ballance tire to power. If you have more grip than power you'll end up haveing a hard time entering and keeping the car in drift. If you have too much power like the people who have 400hp and economy tires, sure entering is real easy but you have no control, you can't countersteer because the front is slipping and you can't feather the throttle because giving it a nudge makes you do a 180.

  • I find when you go from closed throttle to wide open throttle your tires should lose it for a moment and come back thats the way I balance my set ups.

  • hey, may i ask u a quick question?? Do I need a Steering Wheel Controller to Drift? or can i do it with the regular controller?

  • I do it with both and what you see here applys to both. I perfer the wheel and trust me if you can get one, get one. Logitech makes the best one, infact its the only one worth getting realy.

  • O, thx, i was thinking about getting one, but i am not going to be around my home over the summer, so i think i will get it after this summer.

  • Btw I found its easier to show drift with the controller and its easier to do initial d style with the wheel.

  • O, i can drift now, but my drift is slow, and sometime my drift ended in mid-corner... is a 260ish HP Amuse S2000 street version too slow for it, or i did something wrong... Thank you btw.
