@S10sittnonRVM22s easy there sunshine, the mustang in this video (the car you were asking about the flames from the exhaust), has a centrifugal supercharger on it. hence the huge hole in the bumper cover. for somebody who "knows about these cars," you should know that you can't combine power adders (ie turbos w/ nitrous, or supercharged w/ nitrous). so don't get a hissy that the car u thought was a nitrous car is not. and please tell me where i typed the vette's not turboed.

i didnt go back real far, but its nice to see a video w/o a ton of haters talking trash. i love all cars, imports and domestic. i was raised chevy but bleed ford blue and love my mustangs. 4 and 6 bangers and nice because the overhead camming allows for efficiency like the canted heads used in top fuel. when you move the intake and exhaust runners like that you can make hella great power.. which is a great reason to love the new 5.0 in the ford, DOHC v8 w/ TiVCT, hell yeah, thats the future!

Not to mention some of those "imports" have an awd system to them nowadays. @16secRicer Of course a 4 cylinder isn't going to compare with a v8 power wise, that's common sense, nhra shortened the track to 1000 ft. for top fuel dragsters and funny cars for safety reasons after Scott Kalitta died. And it might not have been an actual celica chassis but it's a toyota motor, to squeeze 6's out of that is still impressive, I'm all for v8's as stated earlier, but keep in mind top fuel dragsters are also using nitromethane.

@MrAngryRedneck because they can. Tim lynch did it and now he has the fastest 10.5 car ever. to me, that's not wasted money. t does what they designed it to do. therefore, it's a success, not a "ruined car"

@mrhazel Thats where you are wrong. tims car started as a wrecked 2008 C6 he built it into a ZR1clone. Even Tim said it would be a horrible waste to cut up a ZR1. I would just hope this is a similar situation.
