Do'nt worry, i never will be able and not interest in performing like you (i have my way) but is a good exercise and you are very generous putting your videos on you tube: grazie mille! Vorrei vederti dal vivo. . . lisa
I like your act, but I would like to suggest that if you don't want anyone to copy your tricks then just don't put it on youtube. or just put a video clip of it where no one can see how are you wrapping yourself. Because if anyone would like to copy they wont ask you for permission, and there is a possibility that you may not even find out about it.
Thank you my chola sister :) Every time I come across this video it just goes to remind me and give me hope that at any given moment, at least ONE of us is doing something right (: My phone died a horrible death in Toronto over Pride 2010 (lol), so text me when you can. We have LOTS to catch up on. After all was said and done, my life is kinda fancy right now :) I love you. B
I can't watch this video enough. I come back to it time after time for inspiration and beauty. So innovative, it brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for your artistic expression and for dancing!!!
After being in the aerial dance world for 13 years, this fabric dance is probably the most inventive and creative work I've seen. congratulations!!! loved your flexed feet, too!
Wow, Joseph. Yes, I'm amazed at how fast you prepare for your moves, it really seems you know those silks inside out, and the confidence really shows in your performance. Your strength and dexterity are really impressive. Funny though, my teacher always goes on with me about keeping a strong toe point in my transitions but yours are often flexed; kind of fits your style though. A very original act, very motivational! *sigh* One day...
I'm an aerialist too, from Peru, and since I do this, and I do it well, I apreciate very much the most difficult aspects in his performance... Have you ever noticed that Joseph tends to do a showlder tortion every time he can? It looks totally simple, AND IT'S NOT!!! IT'S AWFUL, IT HURTS!!! Of course, after several hours of hard training, you can mannage to do it, but the way he uses this tool is the way only masters can do it. Fabulous. Was it an impro?
The music is unusual, but I like it: I think it fits the pieces. But the clapping was very distracting. I wish there was only clapping at the end, at most.
I have seen the first two drops before, but the last one I've not seen. I do agree that part of the act looked familiar, fro some cirque show, but it was beautiful. Good job.
I totally agree. That was just an amazing performance. Its like watching modern dance on tissu. And I realy loved the music. I had never seen most of those moves and those drops were spectacular
I have seen the first drop before, but I would hardly say it's "popular among aerial silk classes." It was undeniable original, and the artist shows a comfort with the silks that is rarely seen.
i love it...idol!!!one of your fan from philipines =)

I din t like he s away of performing !
And with this music it looks like we are watchin a funeral!I think thats the worst problem between aerialist the always choose a strange song!
And accualy the most original fall it s that fall from the end at 5.15 mim.
The fall from the begining it s very popular among aerial silk classes!
The fall from 3.20 mim you can see on the La nouba act with 4 girls !
Buy anyway, its just a coment!
Best regards!

I would be very interested to see the class which has its students doing that first drop.
Its a higly original, beautifully choreographed and executed routine.
