It's made for no money but I still dream about it all the time. I wonder mostly about Sal. There's something really eerie and yet lovely about the different scenes around Tokyo when they interview different people and slowly this picture develops and you're kind of half aware but not really and then it HITS you. It's a bit like SHORT CUTS that way, when your man hits the girl with the rock.
I mean when Battle Royale was released or Dolls was released or even Zatoichi some of them came close to breaking Japanese box office records and remember Spirited Away won the Oscar didn't it? I think it did? But Fudge is just unknown and weird.
I REALLY hope everyone realizes that the interviews are falsely translated from Japanese into English. The people in this movie weren't originally talking about ANYTHING related to what's going on in this movie.
Cool story, but a little bit odd :). I think some parts is true and some not. It do actually exist a type of a dwarf wich is very little and looks like a doll, wich pretty much explains what these people were. I dont understand the bankrobbery part, dont understand how small people could carry that out. And I dont understand the pictures and footage they took of them that shows up empty, I think that is just a fake part made from enthusiastic myth fans.
@SorchaSan haha. Right. As a person who knows quite a bit of Japanese, I can tell you that what the interviewees are saying and what the English translation says is vastly different.
Absolutely no idea how you could make the connection between this & Inland Empire. Maybe the fact that they both use video cameras? other than that, I see zero similarities. That comment on Amazon is what made me watch this though. Good flick.
Lol that African dude and that French dude fucking hate each other don't they...

It's actually not weird at all. It's a mockumentary. He faked the translations. Still, the story was cool and he did a good job with the film.
