i didn't even know about this... Not only is it great they are still going, its great that the sound this fantastic!! Pretty much all the prog bands of that era sound like stale, warmed-up leftoevers, and somehow Curved Air still sounds fresh. I like that they aren't making an concessions to "update" their sound but are keeping the aesthetic of those early records, especially the classic analog sythn sounds (not actually using a Moog, it sounds close enough for rock and roll..)
If only I'd been at that gig at the Isle of Wight last year as it's only just across the Solent from where I live. I must go and see them next time they play. It's amazing they're still going.
Back in '90 I was desperately seeking for remastered CA albums on CD - my vinyl albums were getting some crackies. And then, suddenly, I found Sonja's Acid Folk album. Sorry, but immediately it became one of my favourites. And now I hear and see Sonja do One to One. I wish there was something to download.. Brighton is quite loud and I would terribly eagerly desire to see Sonja unplugged.
Sonja has aged well...she still looks and sound good!!
