Can't compare both. A rancho is a twin tube designed shock as opposed to a Bilstein which is a mono tube desgined shocks. Rancho is a cheap shock and it only compares to a Monroe or KYB. Bilstein's I've see go well over 300,000.00 miles. Bilsteins for life!
I just put some Rancho RS9000 shocks on my 2010 Jeep Wrangler and have to say I think they are a very good shock, as good if not better than any others out there
First off let me say that the Ranchos that came on the FX4 Ford F350 are not real Ranchos(found out after i did the comparison)
To me the quicker rebound shocks are better(in this case its Bilsteins) I have bilsteins on the trucks now and they rides a lot better that the fake Ranchos!
With that said.....the real RS 9000x Ranchos are suppose to be good shocks as well.
I want to get new shocks for my 11 F350. Im looking strongly at Rancho RS 9000x, as well as dual steering stabilizer shocks.....but do not understand this test.. which is the better shock from the demonstration .. Bilstein, or rancho. Thanks Jeff
I am a Bilstein dealer & builder this only shows that the Bilstein has more gas pressure and has nothing to do with rebound valving . You should think before u post something u don't understand !!
@95mrshock how much would you charge for a set a bilsteins on a 05 f150 lariat supercab 4x4?? and since you build them, could you make them a little more forgiving? possibly different valving? i drive this ford when i go see my father which is 500 miles away. when i get out of the truck after 8 hours i feel like i should stop at the chiropractor before my destination. the cheapest i can find these shocks for my ford is about 389 shipped to my door. can you help me out?
This shows just how flawed the Bilstein reputation is. I have new Bilstein 5100's and like this one there is no rebound dampning. They ride like no shock at all.
Bilstein the way to go. I had them in my Tundra. Awesome shocks. I wish Koni would make shocks for tundra...
