Yngwie J Malmsteen is a guitar God and seems like a real nice person as well. I don´t see why idiots make up stories that is unpolite, OK, maybe in the 80s he could be a bit arrogant, but not more than other rock stars. I am jealous that you have met the God. It would be so cool just to be in the same country as him. BTW: he missed his other finger when doing the horn in 8:48 :)

Cool, but is Yngwie difficult to interview? Whenever I see him interviewed it always looks to be quite an effort for the person speaking to him.

Despite the rumors you may be surprised to know that I thought Yngwie was a very cordial, professional & cool interviewee. Even off camera he autographed a lot of photos for us & just chatted. If others seem to exerting their effort - its more than likely because of his presence. He is the epitome of a 'rock star', as he should be.

haha thats cool. I know a lot of people try to say he's just arrogant because they are jealous of his playing. But even if he was was the most arrogant person in the world, he'd still be my all time fave. It's good to know he's not distant or anything in an interview though.

I usually don't respond to critics, but you don't seem to be coming from there, so here it goes. When the show was on air sometimes we would have to delay airing several months due to other content which was recorded prior (first in, first out); for this interview 6 mths could be accounted for due to the retirement which happend in June. Since that time I've been too busy to edit & get it online, as I am now working on my PhD. Hope this helps. Nonetheless, I hope you're glad its out now ;)
