I'm sure Robert Houdin and son have enjoyed this! Well done! I used to do a simpler version with my son, also when he was about 8. We'd just do numbers that the audience would write down on a tablet facing the audience (but not my son). They grow up toooo fast so I don't do that one any more.
Thanks for the question. As hard as it is to believe, this act has absolutely no stooges, set ups, or pre-arrangements with anyone. We do this all the time everywhere we go... on stage and on the streets. They started this routine when they were only 4.
