I post this comment with tears in my eyes, The scenes from the last episode of " Banner of the Stars " Them hugging one another and such, this anime was as much a love story as a Story of Space Warfare, and the clash of cultures, I feel privlledged to have re-discovered both series as well as others like this. Yes they are. Crest of the Stars (Seikai no Monshou) is the first series and Banner of the Stars (Seikai no Senki) is the second.

Banner of the Stars has in fact 3 parts: 13 episode + 10 episode + 2 final episodes

It simply ends. The author stopped writing. Maybe the war just wasnt important to the characters of the story.

Banner of the stars is the most confusing anime ever it's too complicated for me.

2 sides human earthling ( jinto ) vs engineer race ( Lafiel ) earth lost, Prince Jinto has his power taken away and is a Royalty guest to Lafiel's side. He is also the mediator between her ppl and the earth Rebels.

First, I love the video of Jinto and Lafiel, I think they're one of the underrated couples in anime and they are one of my favorite couples. Second, I believe Bandai should license Banner of the Stars III, any fan of the series like myself would love to add this OVA to my DVD collection.

Has anyone read the 4th novel in the Banner series yet? I didn't have a chance to pick it up. To be honest, despite its length, the anime version of Banner of the Stars 3 did a better job than the novel. Hopefully, the 4th novel is a vast improvement over its direct predecessor.
