So what do you think about the books of the bible that weren't canonized because they conflicted with political and personal views of people within the church and who made laws? There is quite a bit of the bible that was written specifically as an answer to ancient beefs between cultures and lands... the issue at the hand of protest, is cutting off the life of an unborn child. most would care less about the woman, and more about the child. what about their way of life? they never get a shot in the first place. the majority of abortions are for the irresponsible actions of a mother who couldn't respect her body. the child shouldn't suffer for bad decisions. this doesn't apply to cases of rape or forcible sex. however, bad things do happen, but innocents should never be forced to pay for it.

one truth from the bible is nothing compared to all the false prophesies. in a book with thousands of prophesies and commands, it is likely that the odd one or two will make sense, saying that the earth is 6000 years old (amoung other insane statements) is nonsense though, so following every command in the bible is still unreasonable.

sure, i'm not surprised by this (i said one or two relativistically). but my point is that of all the prophesies mentioned in the bible and all the scientific claims the book makes, very few have come true or are fact. if you are basing your reason for belief in christianity on the comments in the bible which are true, you might want to consider islam and hinduism while you're at it, they have some prophesies which came true too.

Sodomites were people from the city of Sodom... not gay people. In biblical times, there was no word for gay. What i find funny... is in the bible, it says that it's a sin to eat read meat on fridays and to drink water on thursdays. It also says that no sin is greater than another. It was appropriate for the times in which the bible was written... BY MAN...but times change and so should the people with it. Love is love... and any 'omnipotent being' that condemns gay love is not a god.

I already read that. WHat does that have to with the question " Does god exist?" My point was, god is not self evident at all. And people are not afraid of being moral, they just have a hard believing what the bible says is literally true. You shouldn't be so mean, some sincerely would be lying to themself and others if they say that they believe Balaama ass really talked. You don't have to be a jerk. You are hurting your cause. Bible states alot of thinks doesnt mean it god word. Bible states alot of things: Women were put here to serve man,
Not to eat shimp, Dont touch pig skin, dont muder, not to work on sunday. Dont allow criples, sick, blind, deaf and small people come to church because there unclean. Does that sounds like god words to u. That why god gave me brain. Just because it in book doesnt make it right. Someone who was a pastor and who turns to drugs will be a stronger rebuke then someoen who never heard Gods word and is a Homosexual. Yes I believe they should be ministered to each other differently based on Hebrews 10:26 why we need to be led by The Holy Spirit Jesus demonstrated love to sinners and was harsher on the Pharisees and Chief priests cuz they were more held accountbale based on word they knew

I agree with people seeing love of Christ thats very true. But the Lord will give strong rebukes after people have received knowledge of truth and get stronger more public. You need to consider this gay parading is them Preaching publicly also.Nothing wrong with calling out sins its ok to reprove them. But your correct depending on word also they been taught each are held accountable differntly and the Lord comes at people differntly
