Ok so Im kind of a noob to all of this.... My friend gave me her psp1001 fat on ofw 3.90 now I do not have a pandora battery or magic mem stick however I see there is a tutorial to upgrade to upgrade to ofw 5.03 then get it on cfw 5.00M33 if I get it there will I be able to downgrade with this method without the pandora batt and what is the advantages of this fw bc I have a psp 3000 on 5.03 Prom and works great any input would be great to achieve the best cfw thanks :P

No, it doesn't. it only works if you already have a CFW. i have a tutorial on how to get CFW, go check it out.

I have a psp 1001 with ofw 3.52, and I also have a psp 3001 with ofw 5.03 gen c (full). I was just wondering what I could do to put cfw on my psp 1001 without a pandora battery, or maybe just a reversible soft mod of the battery if it's the only way. Don't really know where to get the info from, and doing the hard mod to the battery is simply not an option. Thanks for your reply.

No PSP's are unhackable anymore, if you have a PSP 3000, than you just need to use a program called ChickHen.

No, Like I tell you in the video, This ONLY works for PSP's that are running CFW already.

So, to install CFW, you have to have P- Battery right? So to make a P-Battery you have to cut that thing right? But when you cut that wire, what happens to the PSP? It's all black. Nothing happens to the PSP, It's only the battery that won't let it boot up.

If you make the MMS than your PSP should boot up normally with the Pandora battery.

Take out the battery and plug your PSP into the charger to turn it on.

Brick is when your PSP installs something wrong and/or halfway, and it causes the PSP to malfunction.

I agree. Downgrading to 1.50 is kinda useless unless you have the proper patches for it. But If you do have the right patches for it then it is better for running homebrew apps.
