There really is something magical about being on campus in the fall to watch an SEC game. The fans, the band, the atmosphere...just gives me goosebumps thinking about it.
There are a lot of incredible bands/programs out there in collages across the US. Almost all of the SEC schools have awesome bands and traditions. Michigan and Ohio state are pretty awesome also. Teh other ut (longhorns), are pretty good as are USC and UCLA, But I have to say the A&M band has got to be tops in the tradition and Esprit of any I have seen. And Yes I am Completly biased! lol. If you dont think yours is the best. You need to go somewhere else.

Who cares about ND, give me the Big 8 entrance into the DOAK, Ga making the BULLDOG walk, Clemson and the hill. Rocky top at neyland, the wrambling reck at Ga tech, and whom can not forget War Eagle at Auburn. And whom cares about FL. gaytors.
I went to the Cal - Tennessee game out in Berkeley a couple of years ago in all my Vols gear and some Cal kid asked me "Do you wear that Orange stuff normally?"... I had to explain to him that SEC football isn't seasonal and that SEC football is the best football there is.

im in the Carolina band, and I must say, though I think tenn band is kinda boring a lot of times, they are the overall cleanest and most precise band when it comes to marching and playing fundamentals. i get tired of hearing rocky top endlessly, however...it's a good song, not a great song.

I can speak only for myself but I have no problem in hearing Rocky Top over and over when Tennessee comes to Pasadena. Rocky Top is a bluegrass song written about the hills of East Tennessee--Rocky Top. The song describes our love of the hills, the isolation of the area, and distrust of outsiders. It's a beautiful song in its bluegrass form, especially when performed by The Osborne Brothers.

Actually they ARE there strictly for the band. The football team and coaches take a different route and enter a different gate. The street you see in this video, is for the one and only Pride of the Southland Marching Band.
220 instrumentalists in pregame and in any given halftime. 192 winds. Around 240 players total. Almost none of them have scholarships. That's why LSU and UGA have such huge bands.

220 instrumentalists in pregame and in any given halftime. 192 winds. Around 240 players total. Almost none of them have scholarships. That's why LSU and UGA have such huge bands.

there are sround 350 to 450 players maybe more . My cousin plays in the band !! The drums . GO BIG ORANGE !!!

Best Band in the Land. I Love the Vols, they make me feel so proud to be from Tennessee. Rocky Top & Tennessee Waltz, I love it!
