agreed, when working as a freelance artist it also helps where you are located and its better when you get close to your clients so they will want to work with you again, hopefully :)
That was a really good video man. Although making it as an artist is scary, this is what I need since it's also exciting. Right now I'm trying to get my name out there too, by having a deviant art, a blog, imagine animation profile and a youtube account do speed painting. Tricky thingis I'm not sure who I can go to outside the web to show case my talent. Interesting vid though.
@Batmunkh515 Look at my 'How I Draw Dragon Ball' video. It basically shows exactly how I do it. I can make a specific tutorial video for it as well soon. but for now that can at least point you in the right direction
@Batmunkh515 Pencil lightly, go over your pencils with either pigment liner pens such as microns, staedtlers, brush pens, or even ultra fine sharpies if you want. Learn how to do varying line weights, shadowing, and different inking techniques. deviantArt has some really useful stuff. After you do all that, erase the pencils underneath. It takes a lot of practice to get your style down for inking. But keep at it, no matter how hard it may seem.
It's a scary thing out there for artists. Especially freelancing. It's entirely possible, but it depends on how much you network and how dedicated you can be (as you stated). It can either help to create your own side projects to help get your name out there (if you become a creator, you can try to market your product) and there's a ton of different other ways to get into the industry of art as a whole.
@RyusKrew Well said. People have to really stress that there are SOOO many ways to get your name out now. The bigger your name, usually, the bigger bucks you can charge for your work. (I'll add more into this discussion once I get a nap X_X ZZZzzzzzZZZ) Thanks for the comment RyusKrew
@datboidrew Haha, tired out eh? Must be the new job :P But anyway, the pros (I refer to them as that because they're more or less the veterans of the industry) such as Jim Lee get paid a lot more than some run of the mill western superhero style artist, so it's up to them to either become known, or try to make something original that makes them stand out from the rest of the crowd. That's what I'm going for, anyway.
y did u stop making videos?

Who are some of your art influences?

I have problems with coloring scanned drawings because they always have those
speckles on them.
This happens with even the cleanest paper scanned.
Do you know any solutions to this?
