  • 009 sound system we meat again

  • I wish

  • love watched the progress of the face.

  • I can make a sphere. . . : D

  • Awesome job man looks awesome

    1) I am a sculptor with no real background in 3D modeling. I've been dabbling with digital sculpting in Zbrush and some minor modeling in other programs. I'm trying to learn as I go.

Amen and i follow u :D gonna be a long way

    grtz lip

  • Nice Vid!

If you search great free textures google for: textureblog

  • Thumbs up if you hate 009 Sound system!!!

  • Buy Zbrush Character Creation: Advanced Sculpting Techniques by Scott Spencer. Its about 35 dollars, and includes video tutorials and walkthroughs. Haven't seen your latest work, but if you're still into Zbrush, it's a great buy. Has made me at least three times better than I was two months ago.

  • Dude this is great. Don't think that because you're 33 you can't catch up. It's never too late to go back, especially if you already have a passion and a talent for it. 33 is exactly when I went back to school. You have to remember, a lot of the kids that go in at 18-19 years old are just getting into it and haven't really done much on their own. You seem like you're actually already AHEAD of the curve. Do it man.

  • Do you have to be a very good artist to model? I think yes, but on the other hand so many people can model so amazing stuff that im doubting every one of them is a genius sculptur.

  • I love SL and I love building in it, but I think I lack the natural talent that's required to make sculpts like you do here. :(

  • Is there a tool you can use to subtract actual parts of the mesh? Like for example, deleting the part that is connecting the head to the horn on the sides? So that the horn stands alone, and is only connected on the top of the head. Just curious !

  • very nice men

  • Hello, I like your stuff, I want to put together a small team and get a small demo of this game idea i have made. i would really like your help, im goin to keep searching for ppl and really try to get this made..because i think its amazing and will change the history of gaming plz watch this...../watch?v=SF22hwvAPdI

anyone out there that knows ANYTHING about making games plz contact me so i get a small team going, thanks

  • is this on comp?

  • Too young to afford Zbrush :(

  • DAMN THAT AN INTERESTING TURD YOU MODELED!

  • how the hell did u make this in 3 hours?! Xd

  • IS THIS A PROGRAM? IF SO WHATS THE NAME OF IT AND WHERE DO I GET IT?

  • @jiac1125 Read the title...it cleary says "ZBrush"...how could you not have seen it?

  • Great job!

Btw, it looks to me that in order to make a real life like human head, you need to know a bit about human and especially facial anatomy. Am I right?

  • man, great job great video great art =D

    congrats xD

  • wonder how god design all 6billion humans that every of them has different looks.. n all the humans before us.. n trillions of animals that ever live on the earth..

  • nice work man

  • i think mudboy is acctually better.

  • Just one question, why did you go from evil bureaucrat to almost cuddly monkeyface?

  • I NEED ZBRUSH!

  • Wow, it's nice. Please watch my Zbrush video and leave some constructive criticism! :D

  • the first thing you need to do it;s change the red default material

  • please answer, do u need a drawing tablet for zbrush?

  • @Killthreath : While you don't need a tablet for Zbrush (or any other program for that matter) having one does make things immensly easier. As art tools go, the digital tablet has become an essential piece of kit for digital artists of all kinds. If you're in the market for one and can't afford a new one, look around for a used one online. I've had mine for four years now and its still working great. Just remember, in the end its only a tool - the art is up to you. Good luck!

  • @mreckswhyzee

DigiPro makes decent ones for a modest price of $20-30 new, if you can't afford high end ones.

  • how would u like want to put it on a another software like unity 3d to make a game or somethin i havin problems wit dat , yo!!!!

  • is this free can i make a pre.character in like wires? can I put colours in it?

  • i would leave him the short flat nose he's got around 2:24, unless you wanted to make him less humanly- looking...

  • Awesome man!

  • whats the best brush to use when adding in features? just the standard but with high intensity?

  • Fucking Sexy Art

  • funny

  • Great job man, I worked at a major game developer using 3ds max and zbrush for character modeling. This is some really good work!

  • Great job man, I worked at a major game developer working with ZBrush and 3dsmax. You really do nice work here.

  • Amazing!

    Ignore the hare man!

  • congratulations loads of respect to you =) you inspired me to make a demo reel in 3d s max soon ill post a video =) thank you

  • sorry it looks lame

  • MUY HUMANO

  • We could use ur skil in our game dev team tell me if u wanna join or if anyone else wants to join

  • demon warrior ... or goat with herpes ... thinkabout it ;)

  • Nice work. It's looking good.

  • What a great talent you have (and a great piece of software LOL!) You certainly can't just do this by typing in GOOGLE。COM

  • Comment removed

  • @brianconnollylol The symmetry functions of Zbrush are some of the most useful tools available. You are able to easily work symmetrically across all three axis, as well as radially.

  • @brianconnollylol

yes but it kills you if you use it hehehe

  • great work

  • So epic its sexy... I like the symmetry anyway.

  • i am used to blender and i thought zbrush was difficult to use, kudos to you mate that's some real talent you have don't waste it now lol :P

  • i need you model

  • Looks like my boss..

  • 1:30 Sorta looks like Willem Defoe lol.

  • dude, awesome. where do you get the software for that?

  • Well done. No one should be hatin', they can keep on drinkin their hatorade while you continue to do great work. I loved watching the progression from humanoid to scary skull-faced demon.

  • This kind of work calls "Game Design", Am I right?

  • nice man... the way it looks the last few seconds, his head looks like it would need a bigger/muscular body... than again it's 3 yrs old so i don't know what you've done with it :p

  • in the begining it lookes like a un-used gum :P

  • It looks like Stalin

  • you did a great job nice demon do you know if Zbrush is better than Blender i have blender currently and i am trying to make some gaming models but alot of youtube videos use Zbrush

    Great video again

  • so you do the basic shape in some other 3d program then import it and work on the details etc in zbrush?

  • thats the type of shit you put on horror movies

  • how can you make such things?/ and how do you know to find all those working material xD its awesome! xD

  • wow i love the way you change the face structure awsome stuff

  • I particularly liked the work you did on the torso

  • it could be more demonic if u gave it a less humanlike expression, ok its got no nose but maybe like no, mouth or an oersized one, 3 eyes, add facial stuff lose facial stuff

  • да так себе уродец-то получился ... ниче выдающегося

  • holy cow thats some epic shit dude! amazing work :D

  • amazing job

  • All it really needs now is ferocious teeth sticking out of his mouth

  • wow impressive

  • Wow thats really good! Keep it coming! :)

  • that was constructive...

  • @mreckswhyzee what did you expect? this is youtube... Anyways: Great sculpting! :)

  • @mreckswhyzee Please make characters for video games...

  • @xXlYlacXx and ur a douche

  • @xXlYlacXx Why not explain what you don't like about instead of bashing their art?

  • @xXlYlacXx ur lame

  • @xXlYlacXx u are a little poo cock fucker sparrow shit

  • @xXlYlacXx Your just mad cus you cant do any of that.

  • @mollatal ye becouse zbrush is sooo hard to work with you just point n click! -.-

  • @xXlYlacXx may b u would be seeing urself in mirror...

  • how come each side loos like other?

  • Are you referring to the symmetry of the piece? It was just a test of the software and not meant to be fully realized piece. I made it on the spot with no pre-design and utilized the program's symmetry feature to speed along the process.

  • Symmetry?

  • I'm a 3Ds Max user, but Zbrush looks cool too.

  • @keijimashta use both!

  • but he is really awesome xD

  • wtf your noob

  • well it is nice but what you can do with models from Zbrush ? you can't use them in game industry / moding ...it just have too much polys

  • This is what normal mapping and decimation master(poly reduction). you can also redraw the topology for the base mesh.

Most games now actually used zbrush in the development of the high rez versions of game models for texture and normal map generation.

It is also fast enough to mash out models it is used for concept work a lot now also.

Keep in mind as you work with zbrush you work with multiple subdivision levels. the low poly version of every model is still there.

  • @Saturnclass Yeah you can and it is being done. You can export a low subdivision and export a normal map texture. It's what they are doing in the game industry.

  • You can put these into the gam oblivion

  • U Being A Sculptor Is really Gonna Help You , So Go For It , Dont Stop And Keep Up The Great Job :D:D

  • i need these programs but they r too spendy can anyone send me links to keygens or anything please!

  • RICARDO FORT.. !

  • excellent, thanks for sharing!

  • THANKS MATE NICE WORK.

  • nice music, but the art you show us here is more worth than the music! Amazing :)

  • sick dude!

  • That is truly Awesome man..i have that same program but the bad thing is I'm having trouble figuring out how to even get started..or i lose track of where the option is to do something on it :( well 5/5 and favorite for you bro..great job :D

  • great job ! love the warrior you made.

  • is zbrush for free?

  • no xD

  • can you make the same with Cinema 4D?

  • I guess not. ZBrush is a exreme Hi poly sculpting tool. The only program that I remember and that compares to this one is Autodesk Mudbox.

  • Blender has a really nice sculpting tool similar to zbrush, although it doesn't have all its features. Blender its free.

  • Yeah it does. But Zbrush can handle the hit much better. I saw some projects with 2,3 million of polygons, and Zbrush didn't even wink. It has a nice support for this level of detail.

  • Start looks alot like the Dark Wanderer before transforming into Diablo. :D

Btw. Where can i buy Zbrush?

  • google zbrush and i think it cost like 1k

  • @Wilber719 its only like 600 pounds but it might be one thousand dollers im not shure

  • 600 pounds = about $1200 dollars American...fail -_-

  • Amazing =]

  • Go for the 3D modeling dude. With this kind of talent, you'd be a fool not to pursue a career in the gaming industry. This is excellent! I am in school for game design and I have yet to see anything this amazing!

  • I agree, I havn't seen anyone else in my school produce this quality of work. However, too many people model demons. Although, I wouldn't exactly use this in my portfolio, he certainly has the skill to be a professional modeler.

  • can anyone please tell me how where can i get zbrush

  • Buy it

  • pretty nice but i gotta ask : I realize details are important but arent you going overboard?

  • good one

  • Nice! I love ZBrush!

  • SPIKES OF DOOM!!!

  • Awesome!

  • right lol, ive only had zbrush for a few hours but ive alredi learned alot and done alot of kwl models, belive it or not :P but my comp crashed before and zbrush was closed but luckily i saved my model just before it crashed, so i re opend it, opend my model document, and it wont let me edit it, i cant go into eddit mode coz it simpley wont let me and i cant even rotate around it, any help?

  • Dude, I wouldn't diss your work. I'm on here because I have no idea how to use technology!

I'm looking into digital work. I can do a sculpture in real life, but I have no idea what to do with digital work. A friend recommended that I get ZBrush (he actually got me into sculpting in the first place at my college as a teacher).

Don't worry about it if someone craps on your stuff, because they're just trying to get all of that crap that there storing in their head. ^_^

  • reminds me of oblivion :D

  • I got it to work for lunix 9.04 plus i can get yall the program for free (ZBrush 3) check out my vid

  • Post a link to prove it then:)

  • Can you actually use these models for games? Or are they way too big?:P

  • Way too big in they're current state. What they usually do is use a smaller less complex model and 'render down' all the complex geometary into something called a normal map, also a bump map for the really fine details. That way you can have a low-poly model that works well in games and looks (almost) as good as the high resolution model. Loads of next gen games use Zbrush or similar in making they're models.

  • MudBox... I tried the 2k9 version and (personally) find it to be way more userfriendly than zBrush, but maybe thats because I learnt to model in 3d with a 3d package like Maya first.. So maybe for me it takes to much time getiing used to zBrush.

  • zBrush takes a while to get your head around I think. The way it behaves is different from standard 3d apps. I actually tried mudbox when deciding which to buy, and found it to be a little confusing and extremely heavy on CPU resources. But then I'm no expert at 3D apps, and started out with sculpey clay. And then theres price....

  • Well for guys like me, the price doesnt matter, not that im rich, but you know... Recources xD Plus that indeed! If you have not too fast of a PC youre better of with zBrush. But mudbox 2009 is way more economical than the previous mudboxes *(also autodesk did a great job optimizing the program since they bought it)* and it can handle millions of polys on a medium end pc... So its really preference now. The user interfaces and intergration: (what they both do GREATLY!) base your choice on that.

  • hmm....HEAVELY retarted or jaleous? wich one are you reallyii09?

  • i'd like to see you try

  • dude thats awesome :P

  • Does this software animates too?

  • No this is stricktly for high detail level modeling.

  • wow you went through so many itterations, but the final product looked great!

  • he looked better with normal nose :D nice job

  • amazing x)))

  • STFU about his ego if i could do a 3rd of what he does mine would go through the roof so stop getting jealous of his talent that u dot have

also great job i would give my right arm for the skills youve shown hear please make some tutorials

  • And why is that usefull to post here?

  • because of his internet-ego.

  • I guess so, thanks for clarifying his massive ego :D

  • Are we talking bout me ego here?

  • Nope, that sanitoeter dude

  • This was done on a 6 year old Pentium 4 Toshiba laptop with 1 gig of ram and a 32 meg video card.

  • Damn, I wish I looked like that when I was angry.

  • That rocks.

  • Awesome. One of the most real looking CGI pieces I have ever seen.

And you are just learning - I think the world will tremble in awe when you are in the prime of modelling!

An idea. Hhhmmm. You good at any dinosaurs?

  • nice sculpt, pity you didnt have time to finish him completely.

  • Comment removed

  • so?

  • how do you make...For example if you put a muscle a right shoulder..there will appear on on left automaticly?

  • press x, that will put the mirror mode on, everything you do in one side of the mesh will be made also in the other side

  • symetry on - switch

  • is this hard?

  • its kind of interesting how you change your concept midway, like how you got rid of the chin spike and constantly altered the nose.

  • Dang this is amazing. Have you tried to texture it?

  • Nevermind, I saw it in your Deviantart gallery. Nice work!

  • Hi i'm new in modeling but have tried a little with 3ds max. I saw some sculptures created with 3ds max and zbrush and I was wondering: Isn't Zbrush much better for modeling than 3ds max. I mean in 3ds max I'm extruding and moving polygons and you (and all other with Zbrush) are just using a brush technique (Which looks much more effective.) In 3ds max it takes lot of work to make a hard edge look good. Like I said, i'm new to 3d.

    Btw, nice work.

  • Okay, the overall effect of ZBrush is to make your low poly models look better through Hi-Res texture projection. You create your low poly mode in 3DS Max/Mayal, take it to zBrush and detail it however you want. You then take that into 3ds max (provided it doesn't crash) and project the high-res texture onto the low poly model so that it LOOKS like it's higher poly than it actually is ^^

  • As DJStry mentioned, Zbrush is often just one piece in the pipeline. Most modeling is still done in programs like Max and Maya with detail work done in either Zbrush or MudBox. You can do all of the modeling in Zbrush but anything that will be animated must be retolopogised and reworked for use in the animation program. a common workflow is to create your base meshand UVs in Max/Maya then import to Zbrush for detailing and creation of high detail UV and displacement maps and texture painting.

  • awesome because works like this i downloaded z brush today,i hope someday im as good as you

  • really good

  • awesome man

how much time did it take to do this design?

  • This was a free-form sculpt over a four hour period. There was no planning or design stage.

  • COOL;]

  • dat shit is 600$!!!!!!!!!
