would the intake pipe going into the ocean get better water pressure from being shorter so that it is close to the in-out motion of the tidal force? peace :)
I think different set ups would have different outcomes but talking about pressure I would say that the dept of the pipes would be what would make the difference in it. The level of the water inside the pipe always varies (up & down) as the swell goes over its mouth, but the pressure of this water ´´column`` will depend of the dept where those pipes are laid, in reality, its mouth.(...)
(...) What really makes this variation in water level inside the pipe is not the force of the swell rushing into it but the motion of the swells going gently over the mouth of the pipe (although deep) creating a variation between the distance of the pipe mouth and the surface of the ocean. Its the principal of the communicating vessels. But nothing like experimenting with the real thing to be really sure. Salute!
>>> About your question: no, I dont know sites per saying! When I want to see something about this subject I go to youtube and type ´green power`, ´ocean power`, ´wind power` and I end up getting many different videos of this huge environmental and human issue. Salute!
>>> (Wells turbines turns always in the same direction even as the air flow changes its direction but its efficiency is very poor due to design limitations. I read that some Wells turbines have a starter motor to start going.). This ´´power station `` had been damaged in a storm but I think I read somewhere they are doing something about it. In the case of my drawing air is not flowing freely thru the turbine like in the Wells turbine, it is compressed into the pipe.>>>
Thank you! I do think this is a very simple, easy maintenance system and everything critical stays away from the havocs of the ocean. Ive seen very many different ideas on youtube and even on TV about how to harvest power from the ocean but not something simple like this yet! But to be fair, there is a very small power station (it seems that way) built on the rocks somewhere on the coast of Portugal (youtube: Azores Wave Power on Pico) that uses the swell motion and a Wells turbine >>>
Thanks! Yeah, it would be cool if it was animated! I have some other videos (ocean power) that I tried to do frame by frame to give a better idea of the movement of waves and air flow, but what can one do of sophistication with Microsoft Paint :) I was looking the price of an AutoCad software and it is too much for me to even think about learning how to play inventor with that. So I put my simple ideas on YouTube the way I can, if someone can decipher and have any use for, go ahead. Salute!
Interesting, I have seen similar design, I wish this was animated to give the viewers or potential investors an idea of whole cycle. Just a suggestion.

Well done! such simplicity, do you have any sites you can recommend for similar shore power systems??? cheers Dylan
