  • I love this version

  • A small,but really epic beginning part from Mike...wonderful <3

  • Was this the official version on their Hybrid THeory album?

  • @VF5 No it wasn't :)

  • @WiccidKaye same!

  • Goddamn, I love the demo versions of every Linkin Park song I've found today

  • This version of the song is fantastic

  • Linkin Park is greater than No Doubt.

  • @exileincalcutta No Doubt lol

  • @mestrezombie

    Look up Linkin Park Underground.

  • I like this version better!!

  • Vertical limit?

  • This second mix is a classical. I have it in MP3 audio.

  • I prefer the stop the talk show rap, this one, to the more popular version somehow. This bridge gets the point across better I suppose.

  • Dnload the audio from this tune at speedyconversion doht cohm.

  • i like this intro way more than the original

  • to be fair atleast the quality is awesome cos some demos the quality is bad but this is cool

  • Mikes raps are stripped down by the record company that they are on THIS IS WHY THEY SHOULD SUPPORT THEMSELVES

  • for people who say only teenagers like LP: you are douche bag's and i hope i'm an example of your ignorance. i started listening to LP ten years ago when hybrid theory was released, i was 14. since then i've bought all of their cd's including LPU only releases. and now that i'm 24 i can definitively say that i'm five years not a teen and still thoroughly enjoy The EPICNESS that is LINKIN PARK

  • @mestrezombie

They do, they release new 'Albums' more or less every year on their Underground site. In the UK it's something like £25 a year and you get the CD a Sticker, Guitar Pic and a T Shirt. It's proper good. You see songs that no one else sees and you see how far they've come as a band.

  • This will be a good song for Naruto vs Pain!!!

  • @mestrezombie they did they are called LP undergrounds and there is 9 diffrent cds...

  • Just to let everyone know the first demo for Points of Authority theoryoflinkin posted is the real Vertical Limits, this song is actually a remix called shutup

  • Vertical Limit is not a demo, it is a Points of Authority version for a film Little Nicky

  • I love the current version much better but this one sounds pretty awesome in its self

  • the ending alone is enough to hit the like button

  • @PhantomAlxa99

agreed, much better than the original

  • I have this song on a burned CD that's pretty old. The entire CD is different from Hybrid Theory, but all the songs are the same... kind of. They're in the same order, but they have a more "indie" feel to them. Some are noticeably different by a novice fan, and others are barely noticeably different by a hardcore fan. It also has the original "My December" on it. I can not find any info on it. I got it from my old boss who had no idea where it came from. Any help?

  • @BrothersGroove

it could be the underground exclusive Hybrid Theory CD they released back in 01. only a few were every sold. The original album has a baby as an art work booklet. Really rare.

  • @squallthegriever That was kinda my guess. And unfortunately my copy is burned so it's not quite so exclusive, lol. Thanks.

  • @mestrezombie you should look up their albums linkin park underground 9 and linkin park underground 10 if you havent already, they are all demos. the other linkin park underground albums have a couple demos. sadly this version of points of authority is not on any of em

  • that is the points authority except the bridge they just change it from the first demo is really awsome

  • This is a pre-final mix. And it's not called Vertical Limit, that was a made up name.

  • I prefer this to the original. Even the slightest change in the lyrics makes it better in my opinion.

  • i rly like the bridge

  • @PhantomAlxa99

i love this song , when every one turn the back on u!!!!! just reemember

you have to think you're never wrong

  • Theres like 4 demos of this I think. The most recent released one was Oh No

  • is there a version of this song with all the mixes together to make the perfect points of authority?

  • @mestrezombie e-bay buddy

  • I grew up thinking this was the original version :/

  • @DraciaNightcat Same xD Then when I got Live In Texas, i was trying to rap along with Mike, then I was like "umm..." xD

  • @DraciaNightcat whats wrong with you?

  • @the2007king Sorry, did I offend you to the point of suicide or something?

  • @DraciaNightcat no it was a joke

  • @DraciaNightcat HOLY SHIT SO DID I!

  • @DraciaNightcat ME TOO!!!

  • This is loose compared to the real thing, but still good.

  • its not very different i dont like mikes rap here the finished version is awesome rap

  • badass song!!! :D

  • hmm i have this one and i thought this was the real one...i was surely wrong

  • I've been looking for this version for how long! Thank you!

  • This is really vertical limit

    Mine was changed.

Points was written like vertical limit

    and the opossit hahahha

  • why wasnt this one the original

they are almost exactly the same, except mikes part

  • The lyrics to this song are sicker ^.^

  • i like this one better than points of authority

  • i think this is the radio version, album version is different. ive heard this one( this beginning )on the radio...

  • dude this isnt the radio version it the older demo for points

  • ok, well then i heard this version on the radio.

  • same, i have it on my ipod, i always thought it was the right one, apparently not D=

  • prefer this 2 the other version of points of authority

  • LimeWire btw... :D

  • in what is it diferent of the final version ?

  • the lyrics

  • euh... could we get a download link??? cuz this is sick!!!

  • Where can I get this song??????????????????

  • i think this is like better because Mike raps more than just 2 verses

  • I liked the 1st demo...yet you can't argue on taste can you? anyway this 1 is good on the chorus yet i didn't like the bridge, still the demo is cool...I hope people won't be so aggresive and i hope i won't get -20 just because i said the 1st demo seemed better TO ME..........

  • hmmm...final version rocks.

    :]

  • after hearing demo 1, i was REALLY scared of how this song would be! but i'm glad that it's not such crap as demo 1, still the original is the best

  • You kiddin? Demo 1 is sick!!

  • no i don't like both demo's o.O

i only like the normal and the chrystal method remix...

  • Why did I get 6 negatives on that comment?? It's not a negative comment, I like both demos.

  • where can i get this song?

  • Mike's part in the album version was sicker then this crap. I mean it flows as if he were an actual rapper. I mean "Forfeit the game before somebody else takes you out of the fram put ya name to shame, cover up ya face, you can't run the race, the pace is too fast u just won't last". Classic shit!

  • he is an actual rapper....

  • this songs is like something like 2 seconds shorter than the original song

    i'm not sure

but i'm sure there's a little difference in playtime

  • joovn1 its called tempo

  • i looove the beginning!

  • ur bouth right it an Demo but not the first demo of points of autority ^^

  • Thats not the demo ;-)Thats the second mix

  • it's possibble i don't know

but why the voices and the sounds are different?

  • @theoryoflinkin could be where they recorded it, but the lyrics are different

  • @theoryoflinkin this version was made for film "Little Nicky"

  • @theoryoflinkin they're not... this is the Hybrid Theory version ;)

  • @theoryoflinkin There were two demos. One of them had the same lyrics as the album version and the second one (this one) changed some of the lyrics. The band decided they liked the first mix better so they re-recorded it and released it.

  • @simba703 This one's lyrics seem to me like the original intended version. Fairly brutally sincere like Mike can be when he means it... :)

  • @theoryoflinkin um just want to say that this is called shutup another remix of points of authority and that the song you've put up as Points of Authority Demo is actually Vertical Limits

  • this is a Demo dude...it was done before Hybrid when they working and re-working lyrics...

  • @xXGroviabyXx that's a demo i have the CD

  • This song is absolutly amazing, basically orgasmic, I think they should of used this then the actual P.O.A. they're using now.

  • This on their release called best off it has 27 different songs from past albums.

  • No such thing exists dude. Linkin Park has NEVER released a "best off" album..

  • I love the rhyme with "tomorrow". :)

  • i kindof like this version better

  • I've not been into Linkin park for anywhere near that long, but don't get me wrong I love them. I also think they should re-master and then release all of their demos' and older songs that have not been put onto CD's too.

  • Me too =P

  • I like the Hybrid Theory version better.

  • yea me too =]

  • You mean as underground cds or EPs?

    Is there a difference?

  • can u send this too me?

  • I believe 6 around there. 2 by Jay Gordon, 2 demos, the one on Hybrid theory, and that Crystal Method remix.

  • whats the other one you have i wanna hear

  • The bridge by Mike is different, if you don't listen carefully. It's obvious.

  • the "original" is actually points and authority

  • it's points OF authority

  • I like this song a lot.. the whole "forfeit the game/stop the talk show" part was catchy...

though, POA is good as well

  • i used to think this is was the orginal >>>

  • Ahhhhhh....for a long time, I used to think this was just a REMIX of "Points of Authority."

I used to have it downloaded, but lost it...

  • the difference is the music, the voices and the lyrics of Mike

  • this song isnt called vertical limits

  • the name of this song IS vertical limit

i know it better than you

  • look up "Leave out All the Rest" you'll find its a completely different song on the album "Minutes to Midnight".

  • what? no it isnt

  • your'e crazy? leave out all the rest it's from MTM n°3

  • ur a fagget learn ur facts kid

  • no, see, it was orginally Veritcal Limits back when they were Xero. but when they became Linkin Park, they redid some of the songs (this one was just a change of lyrics) and it became Points of Authority, and then later Pts. Of. Athrty on Reanimation

  • cool

    ich liebe dieses lied

  • Vertical Limit is best

    Points is sux!!

  • Awsome song dude
