hahahaha Mary Tyler Moore, typically the straight woman in this series, finally gets the opportunity to spread her comical wings! :P she was actually a very funny actress, in my opinion--more so as Mary Richards in her own show the following decade, but I know that she learned from this cast right here!-the best :-)
