@knewace ....if ever really... and applied to current issues as a cause for retribution for any real or imagined religious persecution or other 'cause' deemed worthy of violence, and there are not many violent extremist Hindus, that I know of, if any at all (ex: debate over 'hindu terrorists') So it seems, for now at least, that Hinduism is far too peaceful for ban of anti-Hindu propaganda! which is a good thing.

People don't realize the questions they ask about Jesus are the same questions the Pharsees asked him. Pick up a bible and read it for yourself! Read the transcripts of his trials. Read the transcripts of the people who didn't believe in him but later confessed to the court. I'm so sick and tired of hearing the "jesus was a common name" argument. This was already addressed in the movie. Sure, yeshua, miryam, etc were common names, but the statistics pointed out that the probability of their being a Jesus son of Joseph AND a Jospeh AND a Mary Magdalene AND everyone else that was mentioned was 30,000:1
I am not yet fully convinced that the tomb of Jesus was found, but I have yet to hear a GOOD refutation made against.

Yeah. They don't gloss over the fact that Jesus, Joseph, etc were common names.. they address it more than once. Just because it's a common name does not disprove the movie.
I too am not fully convinced that's the actual tomb but there's also nothing to convince that it is not. Only time will tell!

The problem with that statement is that its too fundamentalistic. What about the people who have never heard of Jesus? There could be many reasons for this. Like if they were born into some tribal society in some un-chartered land. I believe God is just and merciful. If you dont know him, dont worry, he will be just. But if you had the opportunity to know him and love him. Lucky you. He will be merciful. Pity those who have had the opportunity to know him, but "Harden(ed) their heart(s)".

There were thousands of Crucifixions at the time when Jesus was killed. Impaling people was common because it instilled the fear and the rulers desired obedience from the people. There were riots happening and the Romans needed to do something to calm it down. I will get my book that is entitled Jewish History and repost more on this subject. It's worth a debate.

2) The Bible was written by men thousands of years ago. It was not written by God. It's a collection of religious stories that appealed to the people of the time. These stories are not complete fiction but put blind faith into the words of a document that was written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek and then was recopied and rewritten over hundreds and hundreds of years and then finally 'officially' translated to English in 1604 is far too close-minded.
