Sorry for writing on english, because I don´t know german.

I live in Mexico and here, diesel cars (and SUV's) are very rare; in all the auto market there are no more than 10 models with its diesel version to buy, mostly from VW and AUDI brands. So I don´t know why BMW don´t bring here its diesels. So far from what I see in the videos, they look to be equal nice than their gas counterparts but with the these main advantages:

@Meminem They pollute less (a more important thing here in Mexico City because its air is very pollute), they consume less fuel and they don´t have the drawbacks of a typical diesel vehicle, here in Mexico: a big and unpleasant engine noise, very low acceleration and constantly spitting black and dense smoke.

1 more thing: BMW don´t bring here neither its hybrids. I simply don´t get it.

hey i have a 325i sport wagon and I drove from San Francisco down to LA once and after filling up a full tank (16 gallons), which is roughly 64 liters, I ended up getting to Santa Monica in 1 tank of gas and still had 4 gallons left in the tank..that's over 400 miles of driving, roughly 640 km. well thats not a Alphina B5. It sure dont perform like one. I raced a Alphina B5 with my porshe and there was no race. He burned my porshe. I use to cruise at 270-275km/h in my porshe and i will tell you they didnt even make it over 220km/h (at the most) When your going 240-250+, you run up on cars alot faster than this.You will know when your going that fast.AND for that to be a B5 it sure does sit in its gears a long time. And that 320d has to be modded to even keep up like that the way it did

The 330CD beats a 330CI from 80km/h. The Diesel has more torque that is fully available from 1.500Rpm (110Nm more and at less rpm as the Benzine). But the Diesel has less Horse Power (27hp less). The Diesels weight is 110kilo's heavier.

By ordinary roads you must mean "secondary roads". Not necessarily, there are highways, it's safer there.

But there is one thing you probably never heard about: speedo error. BMW's have a lot of that. If you watch a M3 video, for instance (BMW M3 0-290 km/h), you will see the difference between analog and digital speedos, and even this is optimistic. OK, they may be going faster than 200 km/h, but MAYBE 230 km/h is not far from the truth.

My brother's Ibiza 130 shows 250 km/h. Yeah, Right...
