  • stopping doing that choppy editing shit it makes you look so unprofessional its embarrassing and annoying to follow

  • @ryno9292 That's funny because my prof said this looked too professional and needed to look more organic, more rough. Also have you considered maybe I was trying to be annoying?

  • I watched the whole thing and have to say 5 star work. Your channel should allow you over 15 minutes of play time, you should upload this work in it's entirety and keep the other videos up. Excuse my language but you have balls of steel doing this project while attending the UofO.

  • @MrMaDelirious I know. Even more because it was shot at 2-4 am on campus. I didn't get a showing probably because my instructor was afraid of being fired. However I am told that the dept of international students show it each term.

  • In the words of the late, great, Justin Colonna...

    "Whoo-Hoo, Cornelius Doggus Doggaramuss".

    Well Done.

  • Good to see some of the little known history that the UO marketeers do not highlight. You clearly did lots of homework to put this together. My homework has focused mainly on the sports spending "arms-race" launched mainly by Frohnmayer and Phil Knight. I posted six videos here at Utube about that ongoing problem. To watch them use the Utube search with keywords:nike university of oregon.

  • M,

    time to call me

  • If it is truly intentional to be choppy then I am sorry to say I just don't prefer your experiment in challenging the media- it comes across as out of focus and shoddily cut to me. so, I stand by my statement.

but it wasn't really meant to be inflammatory, I just didn't understand your motives for this.

your teacher didn't even watch it? why not?

  • Thanks. It is hard to get used to an experimental video even for me after all the years of art school. I still don't jump up and down when given the chance to see a local festival. It is hard to watch, and hard to listen. However a new idea is what keeps the art world going.

I spent an extra 8 months on this project post-graduation. I later found I was passed. Thus all that work for something never to be seen. Thank goodness 4 utube or it would have been a waste.

  • dude this is so choppy- are you making a mockumentary or are you serious?? I mean c'mon you chopped yourself saying "the"....

    BFA?

I give you a thumbs up for the research but you need to either re shoot or re edit.

  • BFA: Bachelor of Fine ARTS. This is an experimental movie fist and foremost. This was not made through the Journalism and electronic communications school.

This project features what is called "jump-cuts" which in effect shows the process and removes the viewer into a more objective frame of mind.

There are a series of notions of what media should be. I seek to challenge the status quo to create new directions of media that don't conform to such preconceived notions.

  • How did this project come about?

  • The short answer is this is my year-long Bachelor of Fine Arts project. (in reality it took over 18 months to produce.

The long answer is that I was making a pseudo-hype documentary about the believed haunting of Gerlinger Hall. Upon research I found that the KKK helped finance the construction of the building. 6 mo. into the project I had to regroup and pretty much start over with a new idea.

  • Seriously: When you have a large population that is a mixture of different cultures and backrounds, there is going to be unavoidilbe friction.

Not so Seriously: HAHAH, more fodder for the OSU UO rivlary

  • That's funny you mention sports. It was illegal to be black and out after 8. When a Star player from the Ducks was pulled over for driving while black with a few ball player friends they spent the night in jail. UO people were convinced this was a set up by Corvallis police as against the ducks. Shortly there later the law was repealed.

  • why do u talk like william shatner?

  • Firstly that had better not be a remark Cap. James T. Kirk. He spoke very differently for some of his other shows. Shatner had to read off cue cards because often the script was being written during production.

This is full what is called jump-cuts. This is because it is an experimental video first and for most, and documentary secondly. The goal was to make a documentary in an experimental way.

  • During Paul Olum's presidency, all instructors received a letter encouraging them to give single parents leeway in turning in their course work & assignments, and in attending exams... I was very touched by that.

  • Really? That is amazing.

  • ClaymoreII, one last thing about the research. It wasn't easy. a whole shelf is missing from the knight library on the subject. All materials on the shelf were simply gone. I found it clear that the history of the U of O has been covered up by someone.

  • ClaymoreII, I want to add that once while delivering to the Administration a co-worker told me about how she felt mistreated due to her skin color. When an administrator walked in I begged her to speak up. She spoke only to not mention the instructors name for fear of failure. I found that to be very educational.

  • I enjoyed your project (I watched all episodes). I went to U of O and hated every minute-- but that's beside the point. I liked the rhythm of your narrative cuts, but I was especially impressed with the depth of your research. Good job.

  • After a slue of very rude comments I had to switch to comments pending approval. What people don't understand is that a BFA is a Bachelor of Fine Art's project. This is first and foremost experimental and secondly a documentary. With exception to the featured, all work was exclusively created by me.

  • hoo,

I am deeply opposed to the idea of diversity. The more one desects the more they destroy. I am actually making the point that the UO are a bunch of liers and hipocrites. I guess in retrospect, also that diversity is bogus.

  • "I am deeply opposed to the idea of diversity."

-Are you being sarcastic, or do you truly mean that?

Diversity is not true if the predominate population is largely one race. If a minority can be easily identified, and a majority easily identified as well, then it is not diversity at all.. only "forced" socialization. The "diversity" in UO is agreeably bogus in this respect. HOWEVER Diversity itself is not, University of Hawaii is a prime example of True Diversity.

  • I don't approve of "races" on display. (if you will) it seems to me that in effort to show respect for various subcultures people are automatically lumped into a homogeneous group. i.e "Asian" "Africa" "Native" "European" yet the above a collection of thousands of SEPARATE groups. So the whole prims of Diversity is a waste. People should be respected for the content of their character as opposed to the color of their skin. Race is from the idea that people come from a breed like a horse race.

  • I graduated from the U of O, and wheras they certainly aren't as eutopic as they say they are, no institution ever represents themselves they way they truly are. I agree with most of what you had to say, and it is very true that Oregon has very shady bits in it's past, but I don't think it's fair to say that the whole university is bad because of some elements. So good on ya for tellin' it like it is. I just hope this doesn't discourage people from giveing the U of O a try.

  • I'm not anti-U of O at all. It currently goes to great lengths to be an instution of international merit. I simply am making the point that such has not always been the case. As late as the 1960's a black woman was denied privelage to live in the dorms. Quite contary to what is currently on display at knight libary.

  • NO, I totally understand. And I see what you are saying, and you went about it in a very tasteful manner. You didn't say anything false, just un-flattering. ^_^ And sometimes someone just has to step up and say the un-flattering so it's out there for people to see, so they can form their own opinions. Bravo for being Devil's Advocate (totally not said in a way to be mean, sorry. ^_^)

  • Bud, you don't know what the hell you're writing about. This is what is called an experimental video. When you learn what that means look me up. BTW watch the whole video before writing comments.

  • nice audio edit.

  • Really? I had a sound guy tell me he thought it was unprofessional. Basically what I did was talk slow then cut out all the lag times between words. Thus the words are clear but fast.

  • Well, i am no professional ;) , ofcourse the picture suffers a bit being jumpy.

I really do like the flow you managed to cut the speech into.

  • KKK is bad news if you really want to fight for Justice and know why immigration is gone crazy world wide beware of the satanic KKK animals or the black panthers who are satanic also

KKK was set up by Albert Pike a satanist NWO freak

(google Albert Pike 3 world wars date 1870)

    Know your enemy !

  • What bugs me about the KKK and the Black Panthers is that they have done a lot of service for the poor. Thus for one in either group it is eazy to be confused as to who are the good guys.

  • Consider that all KKK members submit total controll to the "Grand Dragon". Who is the serpent in the book of Genisis? other ranks are Cyclops and Wizard. both magical and mistical even evil charactors.

  • BUREYEANNE

    THANK YOU SOOO MUCH

    VERY PROFFESIONAL!

    UNBIASED!

    OBJECTIVE!

    NEWSWORTHY!

and most of all INTERESTING !

  • This video isn't anti-Ku Klux Klan, anti Freemason, or even anti-Univeristy of Oregon. I am simply making the statement that the University of Oregon has rewritten it's history to sound like it was founded on free discourse. When in reality it was founded on the ideals of PRIVATE thought and PRIVATE discourse.

  • There's a lot I cut for time. For example Deady Hall rests on an Kalupia grave site.

  • well still thanx

    I am antifree mason myself!

and I think your documentary was good & unbiased

u just mentioned the facts & the history

and thats what people need to know

    Peace

  • I did a quick google search for "Kalupia" but it didn't retrieve anything but your video. What more information do you have on this?

  • It's a bit funny. I've seen that spelled a half dozen ways. I've seen it with two aa's and starting with a "c" so maybe you don't it correct. anyway my sitations are listed in the credits on tour 8. Off hand I'd say microfilm of Daily Emrald and Register-Gaurd were good sources.

  • Universities teach whatever the Intelligencia want us to know. Look into knowledge in most conspiracy theories, paranormal phenomena, creationism, ufos, spiritualism, they rubbish these fields of thought...dismiss them as being fantasy. What is happening is their own ignorance brimming to the top being gatekeepers of knowledge keeping us safe from the 'crackpots' who might have some truth.

  • It is fitting that in the university system everyone dons black robes symbloizing darkness. Ethics don't exist in this universe of acidemics. For example in two of my UO art classes drinking was used as part of an "Art statement".

  • Sweet so the drunker we get the more deep and artistic we become; like Jim Morrison. I want chicks to shoot up heroin on my grave.

  • I drank mostly Mt. Dew for this video. However the sceens where I host the video I had drank about a 64 oz of Barqs Root Beer. I probably look a bit loopie because I shot the nights sceens from 1 am to 5:30 am after a long hard day.

  • Double fist some 2 liters for me chief! Diabetes city here we come! WOOT!

  • It's funny after a year this is the one comment I think about all the time.

  • One world order university. No more countries anymore here we pride ourselves at being a genuine globalist indoctrination center. Making peoples brains into globes of antinationality.

  • There is certainly a lot of pride in the University system. The moral reason of the day is relative to the wind. These series of videos try to uncover the fallicy that the University has always been a haven for all thought and culture. The truth is better explained in part 2-3.

  • Can't Be bothered with the rest of the boring tour if my tour guide is so lame in his presentation as the low light laughing-stock at the end of the piece.

  • Law law land, I went out of my way to use low lighting. I was very intentional. This isn't a documentary. It is an experimental video with documentary elements. I thought that was clear from the many jumpcuts.

  • very odd cuts at the end there .. might be good to dub over to shorten the number ...

  • The cuts are odd I agree. I wasn trying to make more of an experimental fusion. There are "art movies" and there are "documentaries". I feel these barriors are silly. So I shot for a mix of the two generas.

  • You'll learn how to be liberal and white! We even imported some brown people to make you more diverse looking. Here at UO you will be able to say, "Hey! I know brown, black, and all kinds of people!"

  • The U of O is very guilty of being the thought police for the area. I suggest you see part two. You will find that most of the buildings on campus are named after KKK leaders.

  • Dude that is so rad just what I expected from a college in good iol Oregon. Just imagine how rad Oregon was before a bunch of anuses came there and pooed out the cuty of Portland; man that thing is still steaming.

  • It's kind of funney there were so few in Eugene that were not like minded there really wasn't much for the KKK to do.

  • My point is that if the UO was so serious about diverse cultures then why is it that all but prehaps a select few buildings are name after exclusionists, racists, and downright leaders of the KKK?

  • Because they still get fat stacks of cash from rich parents who pay the crazy ass dollar to put their shitspawn through mindwash school.
