Beautiful, i just bought a ambilobe male myself, 3 months and he is such a joy. (Im a first time owner :3) I was curious about color changing possibly conserning mood. At random points (and its become more frequent) His blacks become VERY vibrant and he turns mainly green than his usualy red and oranges. I notice this mainly before bed and at random times during the day, do you think this is a mood or temp color change? What is your opinion on this?

It is a common miscomseption that chameleons change color due to camoflauge. They actually change color to display temperature changes, mood, territorial displays and other things like hunger or thirst which fall under mood. This video here (if your read the description) is the male displaying his territorial colors or "firing up" as alot of chameleon owners call it. This color change is to display who is bigger and brighter amongst a territorial dispute.

Apart from this really horrible music, it is the ONLY video, where a chameleon really changes colour and this in a credible way. Most of the people just *think* their chameleon would change colour. Most of these videos titled "my chameleon changes colour" are just hoaxes. I almost started thinking: "This is an urban myth"... until I saw this video. Thanks for posting it.
