Well when the first PS3 came out, they play PS1 and PS2 games. With the new slim version, they took emulator for playing PS1 and PS2 games out of the console and thus you can only play PS3 games. Here some great news, Sony Playstation network, you can download PS1 and PS2 games to your hard drive with fee and you keep the game forever and all you have to do is to click in the game stuff in the console's main menu and then bingo, you can play that game.

They took the PS2 compatibility out of later PS3 machines, the launch ones are still compatible. But you could always play PS1 games on it.

I used to play Rogue Trip and the TM games all the time. Its too bad that car combat games just aren't as popular anymore. But Rogue Trip really was fantastic especially with the mix of crazy taxi in it. Too bad they never made a sequel.

Twisted metal 2 was the best one. The rest sucked imho. Black was, ehhh it was ok but it had serious problems. The cars were just too darn fast, and it was nearly impossible to avoid enemy fire, and the enemy cars would hardly ever take each other out, and just drove around waiting for you to blow them up. Can you do a retro corner on colony wars? The graphics in that game were incredible for the ps1.

I liked Rogue Trip when I was younger, I thought it was more fun then Twisted Metal 2. But playing Rogue Trip now isn't the same, especially with Twisted Metal Black and it's nicely refined controls using the analog sticks. I haven't played Head On but I would assume the controls are similar. Small Brawl, which is newer then Black, is horrible since it doesn't use the same controls as Black, making it an odd sequel to the series.
