  • So so so helpful! Thanks a ton!

  • I love it.

  • thanks! You sound like you can be a great teacher.

  • Don't worry about your videos being "too long"!! It's all very interesting and useful!! Not the slightest bit boring!! Thanks so much!!

  • Thanks this has given me more insight in the piano!

  • When exactly do you use a dominant 13? It's sound is very different from a plain dominant chord and just can not substitute a dominant normally it doesn't sound right. And when do you use a maj13 chord? What would be a good voicing for the major 13 chord? Chord progression examples? I'm learning alot from copying people's jazzy chords by ear and I'd appreciate some info on these two chords because I can't find it elsewhere. You know a major 13 chord is a major scale all notes played at once lol

  • Thanks so much man. Really, thanks! I would have quit playing 6 times by now if it weren't for you and all the other selfless people out there sharing.

  • You're great mate. really nice easy to understand, I wish you were my piano teacher dude! ;-)

  • Whoops - last comment intended to be @Felix2036!

  • Cmaj9#11 Sounds also very Nice:D

  • Thanx man!!!!! exactly wut i needed!!!!!

  • I like your totally unpretietious teaching style - good man!

  • minor 7/9th's FTW!!!!

  • Great video!

  • not to be picky man, but you're changing the quality of the chord. to add depth to a chord without changing the quality, try spacing out the chords into different voicings [and to not make it an inversion keep the bass note]. say fifths in the left hand and the third and the 8ve in the right. just a suggestion man.

  • Exactly. also: when to use and when NOT TO USE major 7 chords (with or without an added 9 or 13). E.g.: when you have the tonic in the melody, you CANNOT use Maj7. Well, you CAN, but it will sound horrible. In these cases one should stick simply to a major triad, or Maj6 as an option. This is important extra info, but sadly missing from your tutorial. For the rest: good work mate.
