The last thing I am going to say is that you are failing yourself as a citizen if you only vote for a party depending on their spectrum. When you do that you effectively remove the competitive nature, and create an environment that takes away the need for the party to be run both efficiently and effectively. Politics should be treated like a business, not like a game. You can have retards leading either party, dont forget that.
This guy is retarded. "ZOMG! OBAMA IS SPENDING MONIES!!!"
Take almost every figure you have here and add them, and you get about 5 weeks in iraq (which republicants who criticize government spending ussually tend to ignore). Hell, even the big 60 billion medicare figure you mentioned comes up less than iraq, and could be fixed by (lol) more government. Many of your figures can also be used against republicans, as they stretch over their terms (ie: class costs)
@CesarManiaX "Efficient" and "government" are incompatible. Government governs best which governs least. That's because government by it's very natures, cannot do things cheaply, efficiently, or effectively as the private sector. There are a very few enumerated powers in the Constitution which government can and should do. Beyond that, it has proven time and again to fail miserably.
Correction, the words "democracy" and "efficient" is incompatible. This is mostly due to the fact people keep arguing instead of acting (though to be honest, I consider it a good tradeoff for the security)
"Government governs best which governs least."
This is what always baffles me about tards such as yourself. You take a look at government and see roads being built, clean water, and safe food.... and you hate it.
That always get me. Far right wing nuts are always paranoid about the government trying to take their freedom, and get angry when the government tries to take over by telling companies they cant put lead in our paint or mercury into our toys... but then they go and support an act which gives the government legal right to spy on anyone at any time and imprison them without a warrant.
@boonw How many people have been wrongly and innocently imprisoned or spied on? Anyone can go to court if they have been treated wrongly thru the Patriot Act. The ACLU is ready and waiting to sue. How many? None in 8 years of the Patriot Act?
From how many citizens does the govt take money for politicians to spend on self-serving unconstitutional projects? EVERY citizen. The govt tells us what kind of toilet and lightbulb to use AND is indebting each of us for generations to come.
"How many people have been wrongly and innocently imprisoned or spied on?"
I am canadian, so they dont go into depth unless there is a canadian stuck in there. This was actually the case for one canadian who got accused of killing an american with a hand grenade (he was later confirmed to be nowhere near the site in question at the time of the event, and had to put up with waterboarding). In addition another canadian citizen was wrongly deported to syria without notification.
"Anyone can go to court if they have been treated wrongly thru the Patriot Act."
Well you can now, originally the patriot act pretty much said that the government can deprive you of basic rights without a warrant. Those two guys I mentioned didnt even get to contact either their family members or the canadian authorities.
Now however, they do have to get warrant.... due to revisions done to the act by Obama.
You cant look the other way for your preferred party.
"From how many citizens does the govt take money for politicians to spend on self-serving unconstitutional projects?"
You know what, the stupidity of this argument is astounding. You want to live in a good country, you NEED to pay taxes. Roads, clean water, and services cost money, they are not free. If you dont like having to chip in for the costs to keep the country moving, you can move to Somalia.
Everything has a cost, quit bitching that you need to chip in your share.
"is indebting each of us for generations to come"
I find it funny you say this, because the party which has created the defeceit as it is now.... was the conservatives. When bush was in power, he cut taxes in high prosperity and spent borrowed money instead.
If you criticize a the liberals for increasing the defeceit, you are a HYPOCRITE unless you criticize the conservatives for creating the majority.
@ensignbay You have erroneously claimed that Obama has raised taxes. I have challenged you to name one. When? Where? A single tax. You remain silent. Again. You have been proven wrong. Again. Doesn't this bother you in the slightest? It should. Being on the wrong side of fact and reality (again) is how you Conservatives (a person who is reluctant to accept changes and new ideas) continue to fail. Again.
"PARTY LEADERSHIP (BOTH PARTIES), GEORGE SOROS, NWO LEADERS, THE UNITED NATIONS AND THE FEDERAL UNBRIDLED GOVERNMENT THINK THAT BIG GOVERNMENT IS COOL"
There is no denying that Obama is a complete tool... so was Bush and Clinton and Daddy Bush....... but lets give credit where credit is due, shall we?
@hobatu GDP includes gov't spending. That means the kleptocrats can just spend the GDP up as far as they like. High taxes and spending raise GDP. But every individual subject to that government is poorer for it. So, evidently, GDP does NOT measure wealth so long as gov't spending is included.
So long as health care is limited, it must be rationed; however, I'd rather have the market decide who gets it, not the tyrants you worship. They'll ration it to their supporters and away from dissidents.
@hobatu You are really wrong. Gov't is a personification of violence itself. Every law is backed with the threat of force, and the use of legislation to solve problems is itself violent. Gov'ts have turf wars (known as wars), give monopolies (corp. welfare), commit genocide (Godwin's law), and enslave their populace. So long as I have to pay a mafia to spend my money in ways I dislike, I consider myself a whatever% slave to them. Gov't is unacceptable; it is the enemy of liberty.
@hobatu Fallacy 1: thinking Republicans support small gov't. It's a talking point, but not in their agenda whatsoever. Do not straw man me using Repub rhetoric.
Fallacy 2: gov't frees markets? WHAT?! Gov'ts hold the tyrannical powers of legislation and violence backing the laws; a free market is one with no violence impeding voluntary trade. That means no drug war, no price fixing, no "consumer protection," absolutely nothing but the power of voluntary contract. This can't exist with government.
@hobatu You are wrong again. The EU is directing Greece to downsize it's govt in order to get fiscally back on track. You are so wrong that the Greek govt runs healthcare better than our system. How many medical advances are coming from socialized medicine? Not as many as from our country. Our private insurance system is so much better than big govt systems. See the evidence in the info section of my "Just take a pill" video.
"You are so wrong that the Greek govt runs healthcare better than our system"
In greece, if you cannot afford the medication, they will amputate your limb because its cheaper. In the US, if you cant affort the medication, and cant afford the surgery, they will leave you to rot.
The US has one of the worse healthcare systems in the world. I find it hilarious that they spend billions in iraq, yet are afraid of updating their healthcare system.(more americans die from health than ter)
@hobatu Everything point you are making about the evils of private industry are actually the problems of govt. You've got it all completely backwards. You are misinformed and blinded.
Govt bureaucracies ALWAYS operate inefficiently. They waste money. There is no competition to improve service, efficiency, and quality. And every country's big govt programs are becoming too costly to handle. The EU is telling Greece to private healthcare and other industries to save money.
@hobatu No, in the U.S. we get treated. In countries like France, Canada, Britain, the govt refuses treatment & doctors meet their quotas & take vacation. Each country with big govt healthcare, for example, is struggling with the unsustainability of such large programs.
Also, life expectancy depends on how you are pulling the data. The U.S. has better infant mortality rates than Europe. We have better cancer survival rates than you all. And the US beats Europe on key econ indicators.
@hobatu The Human Development Index makes assumptions that are just not true. It assumes, for ex., that a low gap between the richest & poorest is more important than overall economic health of a nation. This is pro-socialist crap.
On key economic indicators, the U.S. beats Europe. We have greater prosperity & greater opportunity, even the poorest among us. BTW, socialized medicine always results in rationing and is always unsustainable. Notice the EU is telling Greece to privatize.
"socialized medicine always results in rationing and is always unsustainable"
I live in canada, and I can tell you, socialised healthcare is VERY sustainable. If you are poor in the US, a simple health problem can be a deathsentence. In canada, you pop in, get assesed, get scheduled for surgery, get out, and then start working and paying taxes again.
America pays more for healthcare than anywhere else in the world, and they dont have much to show for it.
@hobatu LIMITED govt ensures there is an equal playing field (no stealing, murder, etc), but beyond the very basic constitutionally limited power, govt begins to limit freedom. Protecting vs limiting freedom IS limited govt vs. unconstitutional, big govt.
Truth: Your local city govt has more power over you than the largest corporation. No corp can compell you to do anything, yet your local zoning board can.
Name 1 socialized/quasi socialized country whose economy is better than ours.
"Name 1 socialized/quasi socialized country whose economy is better than ours."
First off, this is a nonsensical argument for two reasons. For one, can you name a socialist country that has not been run by a dictator? Two, do you not know that the US has tons of socialist activities? Roads: socialis, water treatment: socialis, schools: socialist, army: socialist, police: socialist, NASA: socialist.
The us also spends billions on socialist agencies who act as quality control.
@boonw Excuse me, but you don't see Americans flooding over into Canada for medical treatment, but you do see Canadians coming to the U.S. Socialized medicine, and yes this includes Canada, leads to poorer care, longer wait times, treatments that the government refuses to provide, higher cancer mortality rates.
Canada in recent years had to cut back on the size of government because socialism is not sustainable. The result: as your govt size has decreased, your economy's growth has increased.
"Canada, leads to poorer care, longer wait times, treatments"
Actually, it took me less than 5 hours going into the door, get a diagnostic, and then into surgery. They prioritize. Its much better than letting people die because they cant afford the medical care.
"treatments that the government refuses to provide, higher cancer mortality rates"
Do you have evidence that either of these are true?
"Canada in recent years had to cut back on the size of government"
No, not really, in fact, over the past few years the conservative government has been trying to gain as much power as possible, even holding an illegal election, and suspending parliment to do so. Personally, I dont blame them though, the 3 main parties in canada have just been bickering, and try to stop whatever the other one wants to do. This is a problem with democracy, not socialism. (cont)
cont: the only place that the government has really cut back in recent years is in our enviornmental standards for oil production. This is mostly to try and encourage development in the tar sands.
"The result: as your govt size has decreased, your economy's growth has increased"
No, it hasnt. It really hasnt made a significant change in size. You cant really say the economy is growing though, its declining in some places and booming in others, mostly due to shifting comodity prices
@ensignbay Limbagg, Beck, Castro, Stalin, ensignbay, Republican Tea Party, Palin, Paladino or "Crazy Carl", CHINA, all the rest. America is freedom. The shining city on the Hill as Mr. Reagan said. America is a nation that never gives up as President Obama has said. We are a great nation. The Marxist views of the Republican Tea Party will never work. All of you are miserable. If you don't like it here then go to China.
@hobatu What on earth are you even talking about? You don't "construct" freedom. You impede it, you squelch it. Freedom is the natural order of things. Government doesn't "give" freedom, it either protects it or kills it. The U.S. Constitution outlines how govt protects freedom. Beyond the limited powers delegated govt in the Constitution, govt limits freedom and harms economies.
@hobatu "share with the government"?! Do you call it sharing when someone takes a cut out of you paycheck before it even reaches you? Do you call it sharing when a third party sticks their nose in your transactions, demanding that you pay it a percentage? Is it sharing when you have to pay a percentage of you home's value on a regular basis at the threat of "sharing" your house if you don't? I suggest that you re-evaluate your definition of "sharing," because mine requires it to be VOLUNTARY.
Germany was the most highly-mechanized nation in the world up till their defeat in 1945. Hitler, ironically, was funded by the same elitists who've groomed the Kenyan Obama.
Manufacturing the poor? What on earth are you talking about? Anyone can do anything in this country. There is no caste system. Hardships don't = impossible. People with nothing pull themselves up to economic stability everyday.
Just look at the evidence around you. Our fed govt has spent BILLIONS of $ helping the poor in the past 40 years, and guess what? There are still poor people. It's not for lack of govt programs.
Get out of the mindset that helping people = govt entitlements.
You are assuming that the only way to help people is thru federal govt entitlement programs.
I'm saying that federal govt entitlement programs are massively wasteful & harm the economy.
Yes, we MUST help the poor. NO, we should not do it thru govt programs. Look at the evidence around you: We've spent BILLIONS of $ in the War on Poverty in 40 years. What has happened is generations of people dependent on the govt and no less poverty.
Helping people is good, but not with entitlement programs.
The Constitution limited the federal govt to specific powers which keep us safe under the rule of law. Read the Constitution. It is for these limited powers we pay taxes, for things as the military & a national currency.
The founding fathers knew that govt cannot provide entitlement programs without stripping one citizen of their property to redistribute to another. This does not honor individual rights.
GOVT SPENDING robs our children, not letting families keep more of their own money.
(1) Tax cutting is not the govt spending. Tax cutting is letting those that earn money keep more of it. Is your income the govt's or yours? Our hard-earned $ is not the govt's money for the taking.
(2) Your medicare figures are wrong. Medicare spending has increased every year and will con't to increase every year.
The govt loses MILLIONS of $ a year in fraud and mismanagement (over paying for medicines & medical supplies). Why should I pay more in taxes to an incompetent govt.?
No, government spending leads to huge deficits. Again, cutting taxes has always lead to increased tax revenue.
If people are looking for free handouts, then they want government entitlement programs. If people want to earn a living, then they are looking for a job.
I agree that we should NOT be bailing out companies. What we need to do is limit government so business can thrive which leads to high employment.
(1) Taking money through taxes from businesses leads to unemployment and higher costing goods and services.
(2) Tax cuts have ALWAYS lead to MORE money flowing in to the gov. through taxes because when taxes are low, companies have more money to invest, to hire employees, to expand, and to cut the price of goods and services. More people become employed.
The economy was MUCH worse when Reagan took office than it is now. He cut taxes and ushered in a booming economy.
This video focuses on the little wastes too much. 2 million for toy arrow manufacturers seems expensive on a personal level, sure... but compare it to:
00,145,200 million: War on Terror expenditures
00,260,000 million: The interest on the National Debt
00,408,000 million: Medicare payments
00,515,400 million: The Department of Defense
00,644,000 million: Social Security payments
03,100,000 million: 2009 budget, not counting supplementals
Think of it as Constitutional spending vs. Unconstitutional spending. Whatever one thinks of the War of Terror, it falls under national defense and is Constitutional. All other spending by the federal government, including Social Security, is unconstitutional.
The point of the video is that government by its very nature will massively waste taxpayer funds. The constitution limits gov to specific powers. Beyond that, we get screwed.
@ensignbay You're wrong on the war on terror; it isn't constitutional. A constitutional war begins with a declaration of war. In a war declaration, the enemy must be identified and so must the objectives. That is, the war can be won. Without a declaration, it is doomed to be an endless war, forever threatening liberty and property of American citizens. The war on terror is not only undeclared, but undeclarable. All wars currently taking place are unconstitutional.
@xaajjaax So, you are saying that the Constitution prohibits the United States from fighting radical Islamic terrorism? That is absolutely a ludicrous position to take.
@ensignbay Is it, now? When the Constitution was written, the boogeyman they feared wasn't in the middle east; it was their very creation. Think about it: can 'radical Islamic terrorists' limit my freedom of speech, outlaw gun ownership, or search my house? These actions are being undertaken or planned by the US gov't, using terrorism as a rationale. One should be wary of his very own government before any other enemy; the one exception to this rule is when a foreign government invades.
@xaajjaax You wrote that it is only Constitutional for the U.S. to fight a "war that can be won" and you say that the War on Terror cannot be won. That's ludicrous.
Yes, we must carefully make sure the govt stays within it's constitutional bounds. One of those legitimate roles, though, is to protect us from foreign threats.
Remember 9/11? Remember the bomber over Detroit, the Fort Hood shooter, the constaint threats of death to America from the middle east?
@ensignbay The WoT is unwinnable for a very simple reason: it's undeclared. In a declaration of war, a government is expected to name its enemies and write out objectives for its victory. Once those objectives are met, the war ends with a victory for one side. An undeclared war has no objectives. It's a prolonged occupation. Like Vietnam, the WoT can only be lost. Either the US prolongs the occupation, damaging the economy, or calls it quits and loses face. Is saving face worth poverty?
@xaajjaax Your assumptions are wrong. We lost Vietnam b/c of lack of political will. You are also wrong about the formal Declaration of War. Your thinking of country vs country. Our new enemy is an ideology which we fight through sheer will, overwhelming power and commitment.
Yes, we have strategy and goals which can be met. All I can say is: I'm glad you're not the Commander in Chief.
@ensignbay Lack of political will to continue the occupation? What would constitute victory in Vietnam? Extermination of the Vietnamese people?
Country v country is the very definition of war. Acts by the sole world superpower to exterminate an ideology isn't called war; it's called massacre.
I'm glad I'm not the CoC -- I have too much decency to send young boys to die overseas over petty political quarrels. 9/11 and the like are products of interventionist foreign policy. It's called blowback.
@xaajjaax Well, now you've gone off the reservation. You and I will forever disagree b/c I don't see killing terrorists who blow themselves up to kill innocent men, women, and children as "extermination." You seem to see the U.S. as I see Bin Laden.
We can never find common ground in that case. If you think the U.S. is wrong to fight against radical islamic terrorism, and if you don't see that it was Communists who exterminated millions in Vietnam, not the US, then we are on different planets.
@ensignbay Communists routinely executed dissidents and insubordinates; does that excuse Americans burning villages in Vietnam? The irony is that if the US had never occupied Vietnam, the communists would be correctly seen by the people as the greatest threat to their liberty.
What is wrong with the US is how much it has come to resemble the USSR. Will it be worth it when war bankrupts the US? Do you still consider this a free country? Has a politician ever fought in a war he brought about?
@xaajjaax You are equating a few bad deed by rogue soldiers as the same as an entire Communist nations' way of governing.
Your sense of proportion is bizarrely off. You see unprovoked aggression in the US's behavior, where I see the US being attacked repeatedly by radical Islamists over 2 decades and the US rightly defending herself (and in doing so, liberating 25 million Iraqis from a murderous dictator).
@ensignbay They weren't rogue soldiers, they were ordered. I doubt any soldiers fragged their CO because he *wasn't* letting them kill civilians.
I wasn't aware proportion was relevant here; aggression is unacceptable regardless of magnitude. Retaliation is another matter, but the US is not retaliating. What has been suffered here is blowback from occupying the middle east for decades.
What about when the US did the opposite, like deposing Iran's democratic government in favor of a king?
@xaajjaax Like I said, you see the U.S. as morally equivalent to Communist China, as Communist Russia, as Saddam Hussein. Someday I hope you'll see the US as she is, a beacon for freedom, a country who has sacrificed thousands of her own to free other countries from tyranny.
I also hope that you see our enemies for who THEY are: Radical Islamists as those who hate and want to kill us and can't be reasoned out of their thirst for the blood of infidels.
"Someday I hope you'll see the US as she is, a beacon for freedom, a country who has sacrificed thousands of her own to free other countries from tyranny."
You do know that many dictatorships existed and still exist soley due to the united states right? You wonder why things are so shit in africa? Well, the united states went into the congo, gave a general (Mobutu) tons of guns and helped him perform a coup. He ended up spending most the countries GDP on himself.
"US being attacked repeatedly by radical Islamists over 2 decades and the US rightly defending herself"
I find this baffling.Pissed off muslims, mostly from saudi arabia kill a few thousand americans, and the response they come up with is to invade a country that had nothing to do with it, killing about a million civillians in the process. There is no way a sane person can claim that they are fighting terrorists, and then proceed to bomb more people than than the terrorists could have dreamed of
"If you think the U.S. is wrong to fight against radical islamic terrorism"
This is the problem, you come up with a noble task, and then fuck it up by trying to get rid of it in a poorly thought out way that causes way more damage and death than the terrorists ever could. There is a reason most the world thinks america is becoming stupider by the day, and its because people like you never stop to think "hold on, are we doing things right?"
"it was Communists who exterminated millions in Vietnam"
Now, this is where it becomes hillarious. The communists NEVER exterminated millions in vietnam, you are thinking of Cambodia, which the US decided not to get involved with.
On another amusing topic, did you know that south vietnam was ruled by a nasty dictator who was only in power by american support? There was a reason the vietcong saw communism as a good thing: it was the less shitty of the two options.
America lost because they didnt have the support of the local populace. Most of vietnam already saw the US as trouble for keeping the dictatorship in power, how do you think they were going to respond when they showed up with guns and started to blow shit up?
Imagine it from their angle. Replace vietnam with america, france with russia, and then america with china.
"you say that the War on Terror cannot be won. That's ludicrous."
There is a reason the war on terrorism cant be won, and the reason why is because the entire stradegy makes no sense. The reason that terrorists can exist in the first place is because they have support from people in their home country. Now, you show up and start blowing shit up. The worst way to fight terrorism is to make sure the only americans that these people see are ones with guns that cause trouble.
He still has a valid point though. Obama and McCain aside, our government is way too big and continues to grow. I look out my window and see the Communism and Fascism in the air. It's sad.
good video. the federal, state and local governments were awash in cash, bloated with tax dollars for many years. now they're broke? give me a break. stop wasting our money. stop robbing citizens. stop raising taxes. stop creating more taxes. fed, state, local taxes, property taxes, school tax, cap gains tax, payroll tax, death tax, gas tax, cigarette tax, cable tax, sales tax on and on. stop the madness! what's sick is people want uncle sam to control more of our lives in more ways.
I lived through the time before Reagan began the effort to reform big government as Democrats had been in power for decades. It's just hard to sum up in a few words how bad it was for the majority of people outside the democrat leftist special interests and racially and sexual preferred majority (white women and minorities.) If you made any money, you were were tagged as "rich" and union bosses had us driving a limited market of lemons. House interest rates were 17%. There was no way out.
Many of the first few commenters are the verbal equivalent of the non-cool goofs in the video who manage to miss the entire point and go off on a tangent. Must be Obama voters, who believe a) they should get something for nothing like the sorry excuses for politicians we now have on both sides of the aisle and b) think a country can be run like that indefinitely. Sure, right into the ground!
Keep letting mediocre minds in government make your decisions, end up with a low standard of living.
wtf? Why did you bring the holocaust into this? That's really stupid. I mean REALLY dumb. If the holocaust did happen, why make up so much emotional hysteria and BAN FREEDOM OF SPEECH for the people who want to investigate it? Why are eminent professors, scientists, historians being jailed up for showing evidence to the contrary about the holocaust? Why, if the holocaust is SO TRUE AND UNDENIABLE, do they have to JAIL people and silence them for saying this isn't so?
the Israeli 9/11 connection is just too obvious to pass up, yet people like you just can't stand it when we prove it, it just goes totally against your entrenched world view of "Islamofascist Arab terrorist suicide bombers who hate Jews!!!"
the track record clearly shows that Israel has done false flag terrorist attacks even against the US Army, aka USS Liberty, and has attacked US diplomatic facilities aka Lavon Affair while trying to make it "look" like it was done by Arabs, same old story
A conspiracy as big as you are claiming, if as obvious and true as you say, would not be a conspiracy, but acknowledged fact. But it's not. So only a few nutty people like yourself indulge in such nuttiness.
By the way, do you also deny the Holocaust happened?
Umm yeah, like the USS Liberty and Lavon Affair were initially accepted as "conspiracy nut theories" but are now accepted as fact? WHO does the 'acknowledging' in the first place? The ones in control? How convenient. This is why people like you always pluck their eyes out, they stupidly think that consensus means Truth, that a lot of people need to agree on something for it to be True, which is ludicrous. You probably have never even HEARD of the Lavon Affair or the USS Liberty, look it up
same old smears in order to bury the ugly and wretched Truth. As for "anti-semitism" the Talmud itself espouses homicidal bigotry towards non-Jews, gentiles, and Christians, but you never hear about that. Why do Christian Zionists support Israel when they know full well what Orthodox Jews truly think about Jesus and Christianity?
Lavon Affair, USS Liberty, were real Israeli false-flag terrorist attacks against the US, why is it so hard to admit that? and the Israeli-9/11 connection is proven
don't forget Israel did 9/11 as well, there's plenty of evidence for that, just too much damning evidence of foreknowledge, and those Israeli spies "following" the terrorists, and those dancing Israelis with the explosives in the van at George Washington Bridge, and the Odigo firm getting a warning 2 hours prior so they can evacuate their office which was right close to WTC, etc... FBI even said there's no link to Osama, just too obvious that Israel did it, like USS Liberty, Lavon Affair
military the coolest are you kidding? Like doing illegal and immoral wars like in Afghanistan and Iraq? Honestly what are you talking about? the military's the coolest like how it lets Israel continuously spy on the US and send military secrets back to Israel? Or how it lets Israel attack the USS Liberty?
Agreed. I think if people really knew how their government irrespective of party rapes them every single day, the people could save the country. Depending on very rich congress members to fix problems is like depending on a bunch of monkies to make u breakfast!
great upload and while media parasites like Chris Crocker have millions of views on their channel videos, the important issues are swept aside on a popula that craves constant apathy by its government and they don't even know it!
American people already know how crappy their Congress is, that's why they keep voting them in!!! Honestly, the American people have some sort of "self-destruct" gene that willfully makes them consciously vote for the most corrupt people. Americans just love nothing more but to completely annihilate their entire country. I mean just give facts to Americans about how crappy their congress is, it'll just fly by their head, they won't care, they'll keep voting them in
That's false the government actually does a very good job of running things. And it would do even better without all the republicans in office trying to constantly undermine the will of the people.
The day Obama gets elected is the day Thomas Jefferson rolls over in his grave...The government has the Midas Touch everything they touch turns to shit...Protection, Justice, and Basic Matainence is all I ask of the Government.
This is why there is such a great gap between the poor and rich NOT because the rich worked harder to get where they are but because of this leach known as the federal reserve. I just feel I should let people know this because your video is giving the wrong impression that the goverment owes people nothing, when in fact it has been stealing from them for years and it owes them alot.
Americans pay higher taxes than the French or Canadians. The only difference is that unlike other governments ours gives nothing back in return. Don't you think it's time that changed?
The last thing I am going to say is that you are failing yourself as a citizen if you only vote for a party depending on their spectrum. This was actually the case for one canadian who got accused of killing an american with a hand grenade (he was later confirmed to be nowhere near the site in question at the time of the event, and had to put up with waterboarding). In addition another canadian citizen was wrongly deported to syria without notification.

Well you can now, originally the patriot act pretty much said that the government can deprive you of basic rights without a warrant. Those two guys I mentioned didnt even get to contact either their family members or the canadian authorities.
Now however, they do have to get warrant.... due to revisions done to the act by Obama.

You know what, the stupidity of this argument is astounding. You want to live in a good country, you NEED to pay taxes. Roads, clean water, and services cost money, they are not free. If you dont like having to chip in for the costs to keep the country moving, you can move to Somalia.

They'll ration it to their supporters and away from dissidents.
xaajjaax 1 year ago
@hobatu You are really wrong. Gov't is a personification of violence itself. Every law is backed with the threat of force, and the use of legislation to solve problems is itself violent. Gov'ts have turf wars (known as wars), give monopolies (corp. welfare), commit genocide (Godwin's law), and enslave their populace. So long as I have to pay a mafia to spend my money in ways I dislike, I consider myself a whatever% slave to them. Gov't is unacceptable; it is the enemy of liberty.
xaajjaax 1 year ago

The US has one of the worse healthcare systems in the world. I find it hilarious that they spend billions in iraq, yet are afraid of updating their healthcare system.(more americans die from health than ter)
boonw 1 year ago
@hobatu Everything point you are making about the evils of private industry are actually the problems of govt. You've got it all completely backwards. You are misinformed and blinded.
Govt bureaucracies ALWAYS operate inefficiently. They waste money. There is no competition to improve service, efficiency, and quality. And every country's big govt programs are becoming too costly to handle. The EU is telling Greece to private healthcare and other industries to save money.
ensignbay 1 year ago
@hobatu No, in the U.S. we get treated. In countries like France, Canada, Britain, the govt refuses treatment & doctors meet their quotas & take vacation. Each country with big govt healthcare, for example, is struggling with the unsustainability of such large programs.
Also, life expectancy depends on how you are pulling the data. The U.S. has better infant mortality rates than Europe. We have better cancer survival rates than you all. And the US beats Europe on key econ indicators.
ensignbay 1 year ago

Get out of the mindset that helping people = govt entitlements.
ensignbay 2 years ago
You are assuming that the only way to help people is thru federal govt entitlement programs.
I'm saying that federal govt entitlement programs are massively wasteful & harm the economy.
Yes, we MUST help the poor. NO, we should not do it thru govt programs. Look at the evidence around you: We've spent BILLIONS of $ in the War on Poverty in 40 years. What has happened is generations of people dependent on the govt and no less poverty.
Helping people is good, but not with entitlement programs.
ensignbay 2 years ago
The Constitution limited the federal govt to specific powers which keep us safe under the rule of law. Read the Constitution. It is for these limited powers we pay taxes, for things as the military & a national currency.
The founding fathers knew that govt cannot provide entitlement programs without stripping one citizen of their property to redistribute to another. This does not honor individual rights.
GOVT SPENDING robs our children, not letting families keep more of their own money.
ensignbay 2 years ago
(1) Tax cutting is not the govt spending. Tax cutting is letting those that earn money keep more of it. Is your income the govt's or yours? Our hard-earned $ is not the govt's money for the taking.
(2) Your medicare figures are wrong. Medicare spending has increased every year and will con't to increase every year.
The govt loses MILLIONS of $ a year in fraud and mismanagement (over paying for medicines & medical supplies). Why should I pay more in taxes to an incompetent govt.?
ensignbay 2 years ago
No, government spending leads to huge deficits. Again, cutting taxes has always lead to increased tax revenue.
If people are looking for free handouts, then they want government entitlement programs. If people want to earn a living, then they are looking for a job.
I agree that we should NOT be bailing out companies. What we need to do is limit government so business can thrive which leads to high employment.
Trickle down economics works. It creates jobs.
ensignbay 2 years ago

11,305,000 million: The National Debt in total.
SuperSmashDolls 2 years ago
Think of it as Constitutional spending vs. Unconstitutional spending. Whatever one thinks of the War of Terror, it falls under national defense and is Constitutional. All other spending by the federal government, including Social Security, is unconstitutional.
The point of the video is that government by its very nature will massively waste taxpayer funds. The constitution limits gov to specific powers. Beyond that, we get screwed.
ensignbay 2 years ago
@ensignbay You're wrong on the war on terror; it isn't constitutional. A constitutional war begins with a declaration of war. In a war declaration, the enemy must be identified and so must the objectives. That is, the war can be won. Without a declaration, it is doomed to be an endless war, forever threatening liberty and property of American citizens. The war on terror is not only undeclared, but undeclarable. All wars currently taking place are unconstitutional.
xaajjaax 1 year ago
@xaajjaax So, you are saying that the Constitution prohibits the United States from fighting radical Islamic terrorism? That is absolutely a ludicrous position to take.
ensignbay 1 year ago
@ensignbay Is it, now? When the Constitution was written, the boogeyman they feared wasn't in the middle east; it was their very creation. Think about it: can 'radical Islamic terrorists' limit my freedom of speech, outlaw gun ownership, or search my house? These actions are being undertaken or planned by the US gov't, using terrorism as a rationale. One should be wary of his very own government before any other enemy; the one exception to this rule is when a foreign government invades.
xaajjaax 1 year ago
@xaajjaax You wrote that it is only Constitutional for the U.S. to fight a "war that can be won" and you say that the War on Terror cannot be won. That's ludicrous.
Yes, we must carefully make sure the govt stays within it's constitutional bounds. One of those legitimate roles, though, is to protect us from foreign threats.
Remember 9/11? Remember the bomber over Detroit, the Fort Hood shooter, the constaint threats of death to America from the middle east?
ensignbay 1 year ago
@ensignbay The WoT is unwinnable for a very simple reason: it's undeclared. In a declaration of war, a government is expected to name its enemies and write out objectives for its victory. Once those objectives are met, the war ends with a victory for one side. An undeclared war has no objectives. It's a prolonged occupation. Like Vietnam, the WoT can only be lost. Either the US prolongs the occupation, damaging the economy, or calls it quits and loses face. Is saving face worth poverty?
xaajjaax 1 year ago
@xaajjaax Your assumptions are wrong. We lost Vietnam b/c of lack of political will. You are also wrong about the formal Declaration of War. Your thinking of country vs country. Our new enemy is an ideology which we fight through sheer will, overwhelming power and commitment.
Yes, we have strategy and goals which can be met. All I can say is: I'm glad you're not the Commander in Chief.
ensignbay 1 year ago
@ensignbay Lack of political will to continue the occupation? What would constitute victory in Vietnam? Extermination of the Vietnamese people?
Country v country is the very definition of war. Acts by the sole world superpower to exterminate an ideology isn't called war; it's called massacre.
I'm glad I'm not the CoC -- I have too much decency to send young boys to die overseas over petty political quarrels. 9/11 and the like are products of interventionist foreign policy. It's called blowback.
xaajjaax 1 year ago
@xaajjaax Well, now you've gone off the reservation. You and I will forever disagree b/c I don't see killing terrorists who blow themselves up to kill innocent men, women, and children as "extermination." You seem to see the U.S. as I see Bin Laden.
We can never find common ground in that case. If you think the U.S. is wrong to fight against radical islamic terrorism, and if you don't see that it was Communists who exterminated millions in Vietnam, not the US, then we are on different planets.
ensignbay 1 year ago
@ensignbay Communists routinely executed dissidents and insubordinates; does that excuse Americans burning villages in Vietnam? The irony is that if the US had never occupied Vietnam, the communists would be correctly seen by the people as the greatest threat to their liberty.
What is wrong with the US is how much it has come to resemble the USSR. Will it be worth it when war bankrupts the US? Do you still consider this a free country? Has a politician ever fought in a war he brought about?
xaajjaax 1 year ago
@xaajjaax You are equating a few bad deed by rogue soldiers as the same as an entire Communist nations' way of governing.
Your sense of proportion is bizarrely off. You see unprovoked aggression in the US's behavior, where I see the US being attacked repeatedly by radical Islamists over 2 decades and the US rightly defending herself (and in doing so, liberating 25 million Iraqis from a murderous dictator).
ensignbay 1 year ago
@ensignbay They weren't rogue soldiers, they were ordered. I doubt any soldiers fragged their CO because he *wasn't* letting them kill civilians.
I wasn't aware proportion was relevant here; aggression is unacceptable regardless of magnitude. Retaliation is another matter, but the US is not retaliating. What has been suffered here is blowback from occupying the middle east for decades.
What about when the US did the opposite, like deposing Iran's democratic government in favor of a king?
xaajjaax 1 year ago
@xaajjaax Like I said, you see the U.S. as morally equivalent to Communist China, as Communist Russia, as Saddam Hussein. Someday I hope you'll see the US as she is, a beacon for freedom, a country who has sacrificed thousands of her own to free other countries from tyranny.
I also hope that you see our enemies for who THEY are: Radical Islamists as those who hate and want to kill us and can't be reasoned out of their thirst for the blood of infidels.
