I have hair similar to the young lady in this video and my mom has even finer curllier hair, it doesn't make our hair any better or easier style

How long does that hairstyle last?

it lasted quite a while ...I just got tired of it quick and ended up washing it out in a bout a week or so

yes she was gentle and I am not sure of the comb type... I am pretty sure she used small teeth on the comb in order to smooth out the hair better

not sure ... i think it was just a regular setting lotion... she liked afirm products I believe...

Your hair is so pretty! It makes me so sad that I didn't stick with my relaxed hair. I am currently trying to transition again. This time I want to do it for at least a year. I figure it will help me to better handle styling my hair. I had the hardest time parting and styling my natural hair.

Thanks so much.... yeah I understand exactly how you feel...I gave myself a similar time to be natural.... or an aggreed upon date that I would not relax before that date... but anyhow... it is hard... we jusst don't see any natural styles as much as we do relaxed and weaves so thus we just don't know what to do with what comes natural... so I had to keep myself brain wash by watching some utube vids which hightlighted the beauty of natural hair... and I can pretty much say that I am sold now..

I live in Winston and I cant fina a single natural stylist (not that Ive been to a salon since the day b4 superbowl '07 when I was relaxed lol). SUcks I might end up makin the hour-hour 1/2 drive down there just to get my hair done...the things we do for beauty!

Love that style. I'm just rockin the 2 strand twist and twist outs right now. My hair is 4 inches long (BC'd 8 months ago). Can;t wait until I can do something else style wise. What did she use to set your rods?

Now is the perfect time for u to straw set.... with ur length... but she used a setting lotion... I am not really sure about which one specifically.... but I will say that I only wore it for a few days ... I got the itch to play in my hair... but i got a style for u that I wish someone had told me about back in the day... cornrow ur hair back like ludacris did but have the part where u want to where u would wear it w/o the braid in and put the braids in while the hair is damp and with product

cont.... then when the braids are dry take them down (next morning)... while u are braiding the hair in cornrows try to keep the hair detangled ... I bet u will like this style... I have found that I love it... probably more than the doublestrand twist and u know I love them.... be good....

If u leave in ur condishioner (like a good thick one like panteen relaxed & natural of infusium) itll make it easier to detangle (i dnt even need a brush or comb anymore) and itll make ur style last...HTH

Oh yeah... if you get to know me... u will see that not much will stay constant... I like this style ... but I haven't found a style yet that I like better than my 2 strand twist and now maybe the wash and go... but naaahhhhh girl... I slept in a scarf that was tight fitting on the forhead and the side areas (close to my ears) just to hold the style in place but not so tight in the back area.... It worked out pretty well... thanks for the hair compliment ;-)
