  • the fronteer...it isn't gone

  • Gotta love "The Location Walker!"

  • The late John Barry borrowed a few notes and patterns from his James Bond score of moonraker. His musical scoring for this film couldn't even be touched by John Williams.Your work here makes it come alive again! May you make many more of these.

  • Thank you harve

  • Saw it at the Potsdam Roxy; fastest 3 hours I was ever awake. Cargill's failed command represents the pentagon. Dunbar represents us, nobody excluded.

  • Great scenery....The actual Fort Sedgewick was located in Northeast Colorado near Julesburg..it was occuppied for only a few years ...and was approximately 200 miles Northwest of Fort Hays Kansas.

  • amazing joob

  • Great little video. Nicely done and shows you what's what.

    Thanks for making and sharing.

  • I just can't belive this...went in SD to the home were Dunbar got his orders to go to fort sedgwick and the winter scene, but man you were everywere...how did you get all the information abaut the places??? You are the ONE!!!!

  • great job dude

  • Hey thanks for sharing this video, really informative, and i live in SD so its cool to see exactly where they filmed this at, espescially when SD isnt known for much :)

  • Oh, FYI, the only reason it looks like I just signed up for youtube was because I couldn't recover my old password and had to open a new account. But again what do you care, I'm making this all up.

  • @Rawk4Life, You are so right, I took credit for getting up at 4am so we can get on set my 5am. Sometimes having to drive to the civil war set off HWY 34 only to pack up and drive out past Hayes, South Dakota. To the Houck Ranch where the filmed a majority of the film, note I said Houck Ranch, only people from out of town refer it to the triple U. But, hey your right, a 40 year old man has nothing better than to spend his days taking credit for things her never did. Thats ok I know the truth.

  • OMG, I had the biggest flashbacks. I spent my graduation summer working on this film and spent a lot of hours on this set and seeing it 20 years later, wow. I haven't been back there since the filming wrapped and I went to college. The scene where you walked toward the fort and seeing all the grass back in the cliff face that I had to remove for filming was awesome. Thanks for posting this. Paul Clark, green laborer.

  • You're full of it. There is no Paul Blake mentioned anywhere in the crew for Dances with Wolves. Interesting how you signed on to Youtube just to take credit for a film you had no part in.

  • Sorry my bad, I misread the name.

  • Since I was a little kid I always watched Dances with wolves with my father. And It will always be my alltime favorite movie. I am so happy you made this, Its so interesting to see. Cause Ive been such a fan for this movie all my life. Hopefully one day I can also make this kind of trip. It would be a big dream come true. Thank you so much!
