In "fingered" mode, you have to play complete chords (like C-E-G for a C major) on the lower half for the accompaniment to kick in. I recorded my very first complete songs with this keyboard, overdubbing tracks with a dual cassette recorder. :-D
Ok i have a question i have the same piano (casio CTK-500) i got it at a yard sale for a dollar it still works perfectly but i dont know what year it was made in. do you know? id really like to find a year to get a general idea on how old it is.
@sneskegagama You still got it? Do the keys "feel" normal? If so, it is probably a broken electrical connection especially if the piano was stored in extreme temperatures for a long time. Shouldn't be a hard fix but may require soldering. If they have "gone limp" or otherwise feel like something is wrong, the actual switch part may have something wrong with it. That might be harder coz you'll have to find (or fabricate) suitable replacement parts and such.
hey, i know this is an old keyboard but how old would you say, i cant find much detail online. early 90's? older? i just bought one on ebay, 7 bucks lol..
according to the listing it is, the seller told me that she bought it for her daughter many years ago, it was used for a few weeks then she lost interested and its been stored away since then, also includes the adapter.
The pink button is Ad Lib, that means improvisation. Is to be used by people that doesn't know how to play. Then all the keys are in the tune. It is why two next keys can sound equal or just the same key changes the tune with the song, just to be tuned and you will be saved! hehe

Similar to SA 20

@supermasterPIK No it's made in Mexico, it says right on the back of this machine. Weird. Is the SA25 an older model, or newer one than this?

@ejip84 I'm guessing from the mid 90's, but it might have first started production a few years earlier than that. My parents got it around that time.
Is the one you got on ebay fully functional?
