I remember this video. I also remember "playing lifeboat" values clarification exercise in my psychology class in high school. I think it taught us more about ourselves than about life, what we valued and what we dismissed way too easily and dispassionately. I'm not sure it was useful for anything other than possibly a federal study of what 15 year olds (or younger, like the ones in this video) thought was important in life.

There was a "game" in the 80's that was used in some classrooms to "teach" children how to be selective about who were the most productive in society (i.e. ranking the masses). The song is satire...showing that the "game" was just indoctrination of children, "teaching" them that the most productive were the most perfect.

I think, instead of the government handing out cash to anyone who's unemployed, the welfare system should revolve around helping people get jobs. "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will feed for a lifetime."

I think its highly unjust to take money from people who do work and give it to people who don't - that's why we don't have feudalism anymore. As a civilized world, we should help the poor, but that shouldn't include every bum too lazy to get a job.
