the zx 10 is the fastest 1000 out there no bike can beat it doesn't matter what bike you put up to it yea the power to weight ration is a huge thing because i can keep up with a zx14 on my 6 but the top to litter bikes out there are Kawasaki and Suzuki not trashy ass Yamaha or Honda

any of you retards ever think about the riders?? a lot of times, it's the rider, not the bike, that wins the race. i've seen people get beat on 1000cc bikes racing against 600cc... the rider makes a HUGE difference. all makes and models are fantastic bikes, they're all fast, but can the rider control and harness that power is the real question.

These bike are road racers. Straight line drag racing takes little skill. All this talk of HP no account for gear ratio. My 06 ZX10 gets 105 out of first. Great for road course racing not drag. I'm not the type to tell others how to enjoy their bike. If you like drag racing have at it but to judge the quality of a supersport liter bike on straight line drag isn't enough. Hypersports maybe. ive owned both of these bikes... the 10r is quite a bit more powerful... but the r1 is a much better track bike.. i consistently ran about 2 seconds faster on the 06 r1 than i did on my kawi... good race guys !

That doesnt prove anyything @lukjr07, it could be difference in weight, style, and shifting, so whats really gonna prove it is 2 runs on each bike down a 1/4 mile same rider on both, then thats proving something.

Agree bro. U r totally right but I gotta say bud, I owned an 02 R6, 03 CBR600-RR, an 04 R1 and now I got an 05 ZX10-R. And I will never go back to any of my previous bikes. To 'ME', ZX10-R is by far the best when it comes to power (handling, R1). This thing is just amazing in torque and power overall. Now, I dnt know about the new ones tho cuz I have not drive them yet (I hate the looks on the new Ka), but comparing an 04-05 R1 vs 05 Zx10-R, Kawa is the best hands down. I know bcz I've had both.

@lukjr07 95% of the people cant neither use the full potential of a zx10r nor a r1 or any other 1000ccm superbike. i ve been riding for 3 years on the track and i can tell an experienced rider is with a 600ccm even faster so ask yourself why they ride with 800ccm in the motogp.
