@iLaxJunkie I've come to the conclusion that Hockey was a newfoundland adaptation of scots to play Shinty on ice, Shinty spun off of Hurling (because scots can't catch) as did Lacrosse, but both a MUCH longer time ago than Shinty being adapted into Hockey. tough to say if Shinty or Lacrosse came first as neither is specifically dated and they occurred on two separate continents, one on the closest foreign culture to Ancient Ireland's east, and one to the closest foreign culture to it's west.
