  • I fucking love this, and your car you inspire me mad mike. i wanna import a 4 rotor from new zealand and drift the fuck out of it like you some day

  • kcd trollin all my comments lol and he's over 40.. so sad

  • Best sounding car in the world

  • what do u do for a living.....look up old youtube posts and try to correct peoples grammar????and who cares what u do for a living, do u jus randomly bring it up so u have a sense of self-worth in this world or what. Im pretty sure u have alot of lifes in ur hand considering ur probably jacking off and nuttin in ur hands all day bitch.

  • my rx7, that i haven't got seeing as im only 17 n living in the UK, but my rx7 WILL sound like this well, if you look up "1bad20b", basically they took that car from my brain because that is exactly what my rx7 looks and is like. trust me :D

  • @funnyblackmans He lives here in Orlando by me. That car is nasty in a good way.

I wish that when I was in the UK I could have brought my FD. The wife was 20 at the time and group 20 insurance was ridiculously expensive. So it rotted here for a year :'(

  • Fuckin bad ass!

  • I'm pretty sure the engine code is not 26B, because that was the 787B Le Mans engine designation. I know the new 767B engine (remake of the 787B that fits to race regulations) is classed as a 13J, even though it still produces the necessary 2.6L displacement.

  • orgasmic sound.....rotary 4 life

  • Ur sayin mike whiddets rx7 weighs 1600kg=3527lbs...a stock fd3s is 1282kg=2830lbs.....how is it even possible that they added 318kg=693lbs. They don't add 700lbs worth of weight to drift cars, they strip weight u fuckin idiot. Even if he did tell u that which he didn't, he prolly did it cuz he figured ur a dumbfuck that would go off and repeat any and everything he told u...which u r. So u need ta step ur fuckin game up and read a fuckin book

  • @webosr20

They put in a role cage, and i doubt the 4 rotor is very light.

Dont you hate ppl that think they no everything...

    Dum ass...

  • i wonder how much hp that thing does.

  • @dnfko i think it was 513hp i think from what i cam remember..might be i little bit more..but not much...

  • hes not called mad mike for nothing...

    NZ repn

  • u mad?

all i said was he isnt skilled enough to control angle with throttle

  • every pro drifter rips the e-brake at one point to A. prolong the drift or B. add more angle. So shut the fuck up

  • @webosr20 youre cute, wanna have lunch? and you can tel me all about how you know everything?

  • @webosr20 Do you even have a car or do you drive xbox?

  • hes got a light weight car with a LOT of horsepower

yet isnt skilled enough to keep angle with throttle control *hence the ripped the e brake*

oh and dogboxes are for pussies

  • @dsmanster wow you must be a pro huh?

  • @dsmanster Lets see your drifting Video then eh

  • @dsmanster haha..such a funny cunt...an retarded.....this video hes not got a dogbox until HKS gave him one.as he still has to use the clutch for the gears....an the e brake is for when the little short of th corner an makes them slide till the corner then he nails it...learn before you write....an the car still weighs 1600kgs too...

  • so ur sayin that a car that comes around 1200kg stock has somehow added 400kg from bein gutted and by replacing alot of panels with fiberglass and carbon fiber...........hmmmm it seems ta me that u need ta learn before u write as well

  • @webosr20 ..haha..you my friend is clueless..i no it weighs that much coz he told me himself noob..i think you should stick to watch barney an friends...

  • @webosr20 seems to me you need to learn some proper grammer

  • @ericmies824 umm its spelled "grammar" not "grammer" dumbass. Before u try to call somebody out, please use ur spell check buddy

  • @weborb20 so sorry i misspelled one word what do you do for a living sit on here and wait for people to post? you must have a jolly ol' life. i'd love to see you do my job 6 lives are in my hands at all times so come deal with some stress and see if you know everything like your putting off

  • i wish he'd hold his foot down! let her growl mikey, let her growl!

  • And azteek1 he's made the Asian drift finals so get farked

  • All u mad mike haters out there get fucked he has one of the best cars in the world of drift and drives it pinpoint whilst being Nz gangsta, all I hear is jealousy from probably a bunch of fukwit Honda drivers, if u dnt like then dnt watch d1nz

  • good but i don't think he would last in the asain tournament

  • how much Hp and Tq ?

  • how much hp is it?

  • @jim13387 just over 500 at the tyres.

  • @mrwinslowjenkins what tyres man? Hes got none left! :P haha

  • fukn legit hes an awsome drifter but gaz is better

  • i love that 4 rotor sound man!!! and if you guys think its not good sounding, fuk u!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • coolest car but bad driver.

  • sounds like an fomula 1 car :D how many rpm? 12000?

  • That is the tuffest sounding car I have ever heard, I keep on looking for the F1 coming up behind him!!!

  • us kiwis know how its done :)

  • This is some insane drifting. Wow, im not sure whats better, the rifting or the 26b. Im going to lean towards the 26b, which made that shit looks... amazing

  • that is an amazing sound!!!

unreal.... i love it and i'm a V8 owner but there's something about that noise that is just spine tingling... top car :)

  • 4 ROTOR BEAST

  • that fuckin beast sounds like an f1 car!

  • @solecaliburr

    Its formula drift.

  • the best you tube vid ive seen of mad mike wicked clip

  • aha yea fuckin bad mad mike the shit nz rips it up

  • this guy is pretty sav!

  • BADDDD DUDE!!!

  • inzane dude =)

  • The only thing that sucks with it is the parts. Every single part has to be custom. If your pockets are leg length deep then you're good to go.

  • @FourSidedPiston talking about the 26b? its made from two 13b's in most cases or a 12a like the scoot car, but with the madbul they used their own housings, prob cause buying them new from mazdaspeed is expensive. the only REALLY tough obstacle is finding someone to make that e-shaft lol. But overall its awesomeness is in its simplicity imo.

  • @WZW1982 ahhh just take your good ol tig wielder and weld two eshafts together and your good to go xD LOL

  • @FourSidedPiston you can buy a 600hp 4 rotor motor from the company in NZ who made his for 38k i think it is..

  • @FourSidedPiston well, mike's pockets don't have to be leg length, Red Bull's pockets do:D

  • @FourSidedPiston red bulls pockets are leg lenght deep hahahaha =)

  • @FourSidedPiston actually mazda still sells rotary parts. I think the internals need to be custom made or used from another rotary though.

  • @JD0x0 the run of the mill rx8 has a rotary obviously not exact same as this but parts are easy

  • @FourSidedPiston not every part. You can get alot of the parts from mazda and other rotary suppliers. The 26B is basicly 2 13B engines so parts arent too hard to come by.

  • that is the sex.....the sound is amazing and he can DRIVE!

  • im still rollin on the 13b was gonna get a 3 rotor after seeing this i want a sponser LOL awsome frickin car man props to everyone involved you guys rock i have a few vids of my single turbo

  • @coco56k this is a 4 rotor

  • quad rotor. its custom

  • course it sounds like F1, its a rotary.

  • sound f1 O_o!!

  • sounds and looks like a violent machine

  • WICKED

  • ooohtht sounds soooo nice

  • sounds like a straight up F1 car

  • that sounds fuckin crazy

  • loved seeing this car go sideways when i went to the redbull drifting in long beach last year.

  • damn epic :) love it!!! but why the compression lock up entry??

  • What's wrong with shift lock?

  • just didnt see the point thats all. but i guess it might be slightly quicker

  • Impressive driving

  • I reckon that this thing would be somewhere close to the 30k mark, its built with HKS parts. Those aint cheap, granted he gets them at a discount cos they sponsor him, but still. those sequential gearbox alone is something like USD20000. And in FURSTY that T51R costs about USD4000. So yeah, shit aint cheap for rotary's, or in cars in general for that matter.

  • thats a 26b na motor bud no turbo..

  • lol he said in FURSTY has the t51r and fursty is the rx8 now so i guess he already knows the rx7 aka MADBULL is a N/A 26b u didnt read it properly bro lol..

  • @sweetaction69 "In FURSTY that T51R costs about 4000USD alone." Didnt say that madbul was turbo...

  • @SkillzorZ021 lol its non turbo, na 26b look at his other videos and look at the itb's

  • @sweetaction69 Read what I said fuckwit. I know that MADBUL his quadrotor built by PPRE is non turbo. His other car, FURSTY, his RX8, is a 3rotor TURBO with a T51R. Are you fuckin retarded?

  • MY FAVORITE CAR

  • don't forget it's custom 4 rotor instead of a 3, i'm fairly sure they welded 2 2rotors with custom eccentric shafts or whatever shaft it's called centric? uhuh nice though.

  • nah its from mazdas 4 rortor le mans cars

    fucking epic 700bhp

  • Most people get 'em from Pineapple Racing. But the 787B had the 4-rotor, and indeed it was epic! haha Not to mention that the 4-rotor engine with only 11lbs of boost was making 900bhp! And with 32lbs of boost it made 1600bhp! haha Now that's just insane! haha

  • love the engine sound! sounds like an F1 car :)

  • i was thinking the exact same thing lol

  • apex to apex. hes good

  • hands down sickest drift car in the world

  • correction!. Sickest CAR in the world

  • amen to that brother.

  • to build a decent n/a 20 b it be close 25 30 grand . as for the quad rotor well it would cost some serious dough

  • Decent N/A 20B? Have you ever driven a stock 20B? They go a shitload better standard than a worked 13B or 12A. A way more torquey feeling engine than a 13B.

$25k for a 20B! What a joke. Mild port, induction/exhaust and maybe a turbo upgrade will do anyone.

  • lol lol dude im not sayin a 20b is not a good motor . and its a fact they do have more torque that a 12a ,13b but thats to be expected by having an extra rotor .

Dude its 10k from rotary power for just the motor . By the time you rebuild it 6 to 8 k , then a cpu upgrade 1 k then tunig then labour it all adds up plus porting fabrication work . ive had a 13 b j port and how it went hard but cost me a fuck load to build

  • Hahaha, you can get running 20B's for like 3k with ecu, harness, tranny and all, straight up bolt in. Why would you spend 10k on it at that place and spend another 6 to rebuild, it doesn't cost 6 grand to port 3 housings.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah man maybe 25-30k for a custome built 26b 4-rotor but not a 20b. I agree on you with that one. And yes my buddy has a 20b p-port in his FC and it hauls ass. I love the high revs of a Rotary. Where should i go to get my 3-rotor 20b built and ported. I dont know many shops in cali that would do it.

  • wow. you havent looked into this that much have you?

  • You can pick up a prebuilt, race ready TURBO 20b long block with ALL the works making over 900hp for that price. No way in hell would N/A cost that much. I would dare say you could manage a custom 26b N/A for around 12 to 16k. I think the eccentric shaft cost around 6k to have it made, that leaves 10 for internals, itb, porting and slot work you could dream of. now the R26B is a different story.

  • haha u got no idea mate

  • I'd very much doubt a Naturally Aspirated rotary engine would cost anything near the $25k mark unless you were plating the engine from 24 carot gold 8-).

Rotary engines are simple and can be easily "modded" for more power, especially N/A ones. We were actually looking at doing a similiar thing with our circuit RX7 10 years ago, then they ended up changing the local classes. Back then, the whole fabrication costs, including 4x new housings from Mazda was under $10k with a month offabrication

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, thats how the transmission shifts... no wonder, i thought you had to be god-like to shift that fast

  • What you mean??

  • I didn't know race cars stickshift was just up and down. I thought they still used the ones that go up side, down side, ect

  • Nah.. I don't think so, if they are, I doubt they will need the clutch.

  • nope there sequential so the drivers can react faster and focus more on driving.

  • Yeah just a sequencial transmission. Sorry if i spelled it wrong. Its easier in drifting cause all you gotta do is remember what gear your in and thats it.

  • OMG i came all over myself

  • this a n.z built rota. repping it hard mike good stuff.

  • Just the sound of that motor made me crap my pants man. Its almost a disgrace to have that engine in a drift car, but and at least he's putting it to use considering they are banned now. Now also being a rally fan, how about a group b, 4 rotar awd. Might not be the best for torque, but how much torque was the s1 putting out, it couldn't of been huge, i know they were riding the boost everywhere unlike today. any way, that would've been sick huu?!

  • its not a race engine from the 787, its custom made for him. so all you need is money, and you could have one too, but this is not an engine from any of the mazda endurance racers

  • I heard this motor was in a cost of near 25k cause of all the custom made parts. Well the way they built this one cause it has an upwards of 600hp.

  • Did the 787b get banned from the racing league?? I know this isnt the 787b, its custom made for him. It just reminds me so much of the 787b 4-Rotor that they ran in the race cars.

  • banned? banned from what?

  • awd was invented in the 80ties by audi , before that they always used rwd cars , in big lines they did exactly the same as drifters do now , they oversteered the cars in corners , what does it matter if it s faster , overall its exactly the same , go watch a video here on youtube about late 70ties/early 80ties wrc , you will see them doing the exact same thing drifters do , just faster , and without the smoke !

  • creationofsociety

yes I did miss your point slightly!!

I was refering to the comments you made

about it being almost the same as each other (drifting being no easier than wrc)

using your inalogy of the sport would mean there is no difference between go-cart racing & formular 1!!!!

I'm sorry if I seem like a smart arse just

    trying to attack you.

but if you have spent as much time as I have in various motor sports you would know where I'm coming from.

    no hard feelings hey!!!!!!

  • creationofsociety

on a lighter note you might be suprised to know that the first awd car with a combustion engine was a spyker built

in 1903 (not audi) amc (american motor company) was one of the fisrt commercial cars in awd before audi

  • is that tip tronic cuse it looks like it keeps going into nutral after he changes

  • unknowen47

no its not a tip tronic

    its a sequencial gear box

    just like a motorbike

up & down through the gears

    cost shit loads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • remember john britton

  • i wish some rally drivers would compete in d1 or whatever for a while just for fun , they basicly do the same thing as drifters , just with awd cars , wich (yes i know) makes it a powerslide instead of a drift , but that doesnt mean it s any easier , and i m very sure they have the skills to do it well , like colin mcrea , i would have loved to see him give it a shot if he was still around !

  • uhh, in America formula d (basically D1) here, rhys millian, tanner foust, and Samuel Hubinette are all drivers that currently compete or competed in the past as rally drivers. So just watch them?

  • yes but you cant compare wrc drivers to american rally drivers or wherever theyre all from , wrc drivers are the best in the business , thats why i would love to see some big names drifting !

  • Rally is not drifting, two different beasts

  • wow , dont comment if you dont even read what i typed , i never said rallying is drifting , it cant be , cuz drifting isnt based on setting good times , and rallying is , i said the way rally drivers take certain corners , has the same basics as drifters do , wich makes me believe they would be very good at it , they havent used computirised cars all the time you know , watch earlier wrc from early 80ties late 70ties , rwd cars , drifting every corner !

  • creationofsociety

sorry buddy but drifting is nothing like rallying

and no there is no simarlarities

    drifting is at low speed!!!!!!!!!!!!

ralling is at high speed (nerves of steel)

before you get on your high horse I'm a drift racer myself

it takes talent but rallying takes nerves of steel(best in the world drivers)

  • you completely missed my point , i never said it s the same , i said i would like to see a rally driver out of the wrc , drifting in a drift spec car , you can say what you want , but it does have simarlarities , rallying is based on oversteering a awd , drifting oversteerting a rwd car , whoo lots of difference , not , plus , rwd cars are also used in rallying , the old fords ? the old opels ? exactly , it does have simarlarities !

  • actually it is very different.

the driving characteristics of an awd vs a rwd are very noticeable.

drifting an awd car is a lot harder and feels totally different.

countersteering to correct the oversteering is apparent and of course similar.

  • since when was drifting ever at low speed?!

if you are a driver racer and you drift at low speed....

then obviously you are a drifter.

if you watch professionals, they have entry speeds of over 100mph depending on the corner.

if you watch rallying, they enter at the highest speed they can for that corner, difference is, rallying is a race, drifting is all showmanship.

  • typo...

    "you are NOT a drifter"

  • Hubinette's never rallied. Driven a rally car, maybe. That's it.

  • He races, not rallies.

  • LOL, are you a fuckin' retard?

you can't compare the weak ass RX-8 Renesis motor with 12A,13b,20b or 26b Rotarys ... they are totally different Beasts.

  • The renesis is technically a 13B too... (13B-MSP) if any of those is completely different, it would be the 12a. Most of the parts on all of the 'b' engines can be swapped with little to no effort. The only unswappable parts are really the eccentric shafts on the 2/3/4 rotor engines (of course) and the housings and plates from a GSL-SE and RX-8. However, there are some parts that should be swapped together (rotors and counterweights, eccentric shafts and stat gears... etc)

  • finally someone who knows that RX-8 is weak... you also left out the R26B thats RX-7 Spirit FTW!!!

  • Anybody know how much power his 4 rotor puts out? and is it a R26B or a replica build or just a homemade 4 rotor build with extra housings?

  • (continued) my last reply was aimed at Wellytopjohnny, btw. I love rotary engines. It to bad that one doesn't see them more then you would see the now.

Anyway : i have a VW golf now, because i had to choose between two expensive hobbies : cars and motorcycles.

    I chosen the latter.

Not because of the rotary-engine, which some people say is unreliable or whatever. I still have a complete (extra) Rotary engine sittin' in my living room to honor the RX7.

    Just my view of things.

    Greetz

  • I've driven a RX7 for about 4 yrs. it had almost 188.000miles on it, original engine.

Yes, a rotary does use a bit more fuel, but they are very reliable, especially if taken care of, like ANY car.

However : Billions are invested in the Otto(piston)engine, and companies would throw that aside and focus on the rotary-engine. In short : its all about the money, nothing more. Even Mazda has a majority of piston engines. Its like digging a hole for yourself . Holding on the status-quo.

  • AccAkut1987 has the Best part of the debate right here. Only one company has tried to advance the rotary. it's a bad-assed motor. If only one company made piston engines, I doubt they would be as advanced today. Wellytopjohny is fuckin retarded. You lose every automotive argument you engage in. Give it up man, cars aren't your thing.

  • Comment removed

  • wankels are a great type of motor, and one has to remember how "young" it still is. We have more than 100 years of development in the standart piston engine, by all big companies, and how many still work on the wankel? Only Mazda. But have a look in the aviation wankel.

  • yes,but I dont see you coming up with your own engine.while they may have low torque and bad fuel economy, theyre ingeniously designed none the less.what can i ask is your favorite engine?

  • Mazda own the rights of the rotary engine. They make alot of power for their size. And why are they crap?

  • i live in the south east of the UK where petrol is at its most expensive. i pay for it because i love cars.

i'm not denying that rotaries need a bit more TLC than your average four-pot, but they are a phenomenal performance engine. a well built, well looked after rotary will last 80k miles even if well driven before the tips give out.

anyone stupid enough to turn their car off cold is probably can't figure out how to start a flooded engine. it's a five minute job.

  • ever owned a rotary powered car? no? i thought not.

Wankel engines are used extensively in aviation because they are small and can produce ridiculous amounts of power, especially when blown. i've beaten cars that cost 10 times more than my FD and until you've enjoyed a 3rd-4th gear pull at WOT you'll never understand how awesome rotaries are.

  • Ha ha you get on about my spelling, yet your grammar is crap. Aren't you an accident repair someshit? I guess you build engines too. If thats the case you should know a thing or two about the success of rotary engines, but you don't. Showing your lack of, common, motor enthusias knowledge. You can't get all of your facts from topgear. At least you ACT like you know something.

  • no torque he says , rotory engines are one of the most powerfull engines , its hard to tune , thats the thing !

  • Why does a 4 rotor sound so much better than a 3 rotor?? Such a racey sound to it. Damn shame it's next to impossible to get your hands on one.

  • if i'm not mistaken quad rotors rev up to 15k, correct me if i'm wrong!

  • muzixlover

    no thats incorrect

my old 2 rotor 12a J port reved upto 14k

its a combination of a well built engine aswell as awesomely balanced

  • i hope hes there at the d1 at anahiem this year

  • DIRTTTTT... it has to much power... nha lol its crip

  • so nice hahaha

  • i love nz

  • este cabron es una verga no mamen mamensela pinches gringos

Can't wait to see it again !!

  • I wouldnt if i was driftin a 26b!!!!!!!!

  • epic, they make it look easy

  • That sounds like a F1 car

  • i was at stil vodka taupo n ths new motor fukn rox

  • oh god he has a 4 rotor now MMMMM. its too awsome.

  • And its coming up your way mid November 2008, Long Beach.

  • Car sounds awesome in real life. Looked good. Even great balls out, running though the barriers. Way to stay in it.

  • i dont really like drifting but the 4 rotor is such a beautiful thing im tempted to go see it.

  • omg.. with a fucking 4 rotor.. Ahh i just creamed my pants =D

  • Gotta love rotors!!
