The good old days ... spent like a bazillion hours on this! And just started it on DSOBox since I never finished it due to Amiga bugs :/ It is as charming as ever.
i dont know how many month i spend on that game. I travelled round lyramion many times, just to see if i can find anything interesting! At least I must've spend almost a Year of my life in front of Amberstar. RPGs were much better when graphics didn't matter as much as today!

Best oldschool rpg game i ever played. The Sound is the best i ever heared in a rpg. Got a real perfect atmosphere for that time. even today i had real good time with this game on amiga... . My brother cleared the tower of the Blackwizards without knowing the password at lvl 3, even today i dont know how he did it, respect.
thats a f***in great game, but i had problems with PC version. i managed to complete one on winuae emulator (amiga version).
it looks like amiga version has bug because my characters were only parying hits when not attacking monsters and that was making me die easly. i was forced to use dirt tactic (initiative bug) on some battles because i couldnt survive fighting 16 skeletons in tomb of riddles for example ;)
also amiga version has worser music (the melodies are same but with worser sounds)

I think you are mixing something up there...
Concerning the parrying, back then I always thought that to be normal. I dunno. Its crucial to have a strong Warrior and a Healer/White Mage in your party then its no problem.
I had another bug in the Amiga version. Sometimes I somehow managed to break the inventory interface by messing with torches or ammunition.
I think it concerned DROPPING part of a stack. Suddenly you ended up having unlimited (**) number of that particular item resulting in a tons of load for the char and you couldn't move anymore. That was the only time I ever used Action Replay. (To re-set the amount to the correct value in memory)
are there hotkeys for the actions in this game like in the gold box games for example? I imagine clicking everything must be a chore.

@Stektanudlar Yes, there are hotkeys, on your NumPad keyboard, represented the 3x3 icon array in GUI...

Still for me the greatest rpg I ever played.. never got to play Ambermoon though :(

This was by far the BEST Game I've ever played in my life... and the music is from heaven.... Jochen Hippel did an incredible Job!
